The food was good, what I got to experience. Four of us walked in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. No one else was in the restaurant. We each ordered our food and sat down. One of our party ordered a breakfast pizza, the rest ordered breakfast sandwiches. The pizza came out first. That guy was done before the next order came out. The other two of us had to switch our orders to go, because after 30+ minutes, we were out of time. They literally made each order consecutively, rather than make them ready to come out together. I have to wonder about the bad reviews.... I suppose if you're used to Papa John's pizza, you wouldn't like this pizza. I can't speak to any of the other menu items, but the pizza is wood fired, crispy, and delicious! Maybe the staff is a little slow, and not the brightest or friendliest, but I go for the pizza. Get it to go if you're concerned with the staff. I also like grabbing a few pastries from the German bakery that is in there. I don't think the owner is rude. He's German. They're straight forward. If you need flare, go to Chili's. Bottom line... Great pizza. read more

My boyfriend and I showed up here to enjoy some pizza and pasta on a nice day. Our waitress took forever to bring out our drinks and didn't even take our order yet until 15 minutes after. They didn't even have chai tea which was on the menu. The pizza and ravioli came it first. We were still waiting on the mozzarella sticks. My ravioli was cold and obviously microwaved. The pizza looked fine. The waitress came out 5 minutes later to tell us they didnt have mozzarella sticks. She asked if we wanted something else. I asked for the garlic knots. My boyfriend brought my plate in and told them it was cold and obviously microwaved (the ravioli was 11.99 and barely had anything on it). They brought it back out 5 minutes later...obviously microwaved again. Even the waitress said it was microwaved. Dont come here. Service is awful and the pasta is a joke. *I also left the same review on google and the owner had nothing to say but to try and make it seem like I made it up. I was expecting their medium crust to be a little thicker and the pizza was pretty doughy in the inside still. Additionally when I went to pick up my pizza and they hav the totally wrong order and they had to make it fresh again and I think they rushed it so I didn't come out very good. read more

Service was good, but the pizza is 'meh'. The crust is serviceable, but not remarkable. The sauce is thin and watery with little-to-no spice. Their normal cheese topping is shredded low-moisture mozzarella (a very standard cheese on pizza). We ordered it with extra cheese, asking for fresh mozzarella for the extra. It came with ONLY fresh, and not nearly enough of it to cover the pizza -- so we what got was crust and a thin, watery, almost-tasteless sauce over about 1/3 of the pizza. DO NOT get pizza here. A total ripoff. Pizza is no better than frozen pizza you can buy at King Soopers AND they lie about the size. The so-called 18" pizza is actually only 14", and slides around in the 18-inch box. I paid over $22, and could have had a better experience with DiGiornios frozen pizza. We stopped at Old World Wood Fired Pizza tonight and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a pepperoni, jalapeño and tomato pizza. We watch the pizza maker slice the veggies fresh and the homemade sauce was delicious. You can't find homemade sauce just anywhere! The size of the pizza was just what we ordered and the over all experience was good. I was surprised at the number of folks that came in to purchase pastries as they also have a bakery there, so of course we had to get some baklava and cream cheese turnovers to go! My wife and I went there for dinner. The atmosphere was cool, the food was good, but the music needs an update. We were listening to old Italian opera Christmas music in May? Was very weird. I've been going here roughly once a week for the last 6 months. While they have other items on the menu, I always get the lunch time pizza special. There's a reason I make this a once-a-week stop, as the pizza is excellent, the ingredients are always fresh, and I like the service. Over the summer my son joined me and his opinion is the same as mine, he loves their pizza! I highly recommend this place. The only down side is they also sell all kinds of awesome pastries and I have to suffer through the temptation of walking out without buying one. I wish I could afford the calories. :) read more

Everything was pathetic. The service, the food, the ambiance. I asked for a standard margarita pizza to go. Had to wait 15 minutes until the order was taken. Was told it would be 15 minutes until it was ready. After 20, I went and looked in the kitchen. The cook was just starting on my pizza and proclaimed that it was very busy. Worse than a bad frozen pizza. Little to no sauce and what sauce you could taste, tasted more like a bad watered down spaghetti sauce. Pizza dough was undercooked. Toppings including pepperoni was paper thin and tasted like cheap frozen pizza pepperoni, sausage and meatballs tasted like the just came out of the freezer. Five stars for sure. Their pizzas have a unique selection of toppings, fun to try but not so strange that they don't work or feel weird. And I especially like their flavorful, crispy-but-still-chewy crust. They also cook faster than most, and are available in the perfect 9-inch individual size, which makes it a great place to grab a reasonably quick lunch. It was our first time to try Old World Pizzeria and we were pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and took great care of us, our drinks were refilled and we were told how are order was coming along. The pizza was YUMMY so much better than the chain pizza places that Longmont is full of, you could taste the difference. The chef even came by and spoke with us. You should give them a try. Kind of hard to find them but we are glad we did and will be eating there again. You should also try their baked goods and breads, very tasty! read more

Bavarian, my ars! Walked in & placed reeked of lard, not tasty pasteries &/or pizza cooking. Lunch time, and not another customer in sight, or during our entire visit. I should have told my husband then & there, "Let's go." The pizza at this place reminded me of the pizza they used to serve at snack shacks at little league baseball games and at skate rinks, back in the late 70's. To say it was horrible, is a grave understatement. And the pasta sauce was down right terrible; my 5 year old wouldn't eat it, so both husband and I tried it. It was really really bad. This place is the Casa Bonita of pizza & pasta making. There is WAY WAY WAY too many decent, much less terrific, pizza places & restaurants in the surrounding areas, for this place to even continue it's existence... Much less charge what Protos, Anthony's, Rosalle's is charging for larger pies. A server's kid screamed & cried the whole 36 mins. we waited for our food, gave us Dr. Pep when we all wanted coke, put the pizza on our table w/o side plates to eat from, and all 3 employees fled outback once pizza was on table. The server eventually gave my husband the receipt, told him to sign "right there", & stood there watching him sign and add her tip. Real classy. My typically easy to please husband did look at her as he wrote her a measly tip and without being prompted said, " I have to admit, your food here is absolutely terrible." She laughed and then noticed he was serious. She replied, "really?" He said, "Yes," & she turned around and walked out, leaving us all alone, yet again in the restaurant. I can NOT understand how anyone could say anything good about this place & their "food". They HAVE to be fake reviews. There's simply no other explaination. I am not a huge fan of pizza but my family really likes it. Stopped by for some take out pizza. It was so good! Nice crust, watched the owner who is so, nice make the pizza. It was a real hit in our home. I think it was the best the town has to offer. The menu begs a return for some lunch or dinner. Agree don't even consider the one star review.
