Overall this place isn't bad. It's pretty much the only decent laundromat in harbor/brookings. The large size washer and dryers are a plus. Change machine works ok. I would give a higher rating but the manager/employee lady here is usually pretty rude if you have to ask about their outdated machines jamming up or eating your quarters. And be prepared for scummy trashy people here especially on free homeless wash Tuesdays which i avoid.

Compertment 3 for softener on machines37, 38 39 and 40. Didn't check anymore but 4 out of 4 means there's more.

Very dirty softener compartments in the large machines. I mean super gross. See pic. Ewwww. Place is clean enough and the machines appear to work well. Someone needs.to clean these machines. Also I put the soap in compartment 1 and watched it for 15 minutes. Never saw water come in from that way, so I had to wash my soap into the machine with water. Luckily I had a cup. Great change machine and dollar coins make it smart. Will change stars when machines aren't gross.

Not perfect but best in the wider area. Machines work and clean enough. I'm thankful for this location.

Good location. Lots of different types of machines. Change machine on site. Reasonable prices. Hot driers.

There's a nice assortment of vending machines and a change machine that makes change for bills and dollar coins.

Inconsistency is this place's biggest downfall. Between personnel changes in management happening…read morefrequently, operating times and days that fluctuate, machines that are frequently broken down, dryer performance for dryers available to customers vary wildly , maintenance is inconsistent, and at times grossly negligent, like very basic things for example, like, erroneously reversing the hot and cold water intake hoses. Imagine the horror of selecting a cold water setting which is required for properly washing your clothing, only to find hot water is being used on the approximate $900 worth of clothing in their largest washer. The positive thing is the staff has always been cordial and helpful, despite how poorly run the place is. I suspect they're trying to make up for all the place's shortcomings, as well as the man who ultimately owns the place who can be very surly and cantankerous not only to the staff but customers as well. Simon LaGree comes to mind when dealing with this man. He gaslights customers by saying nothing is wrong or blames them, if God forbid they tell him something isn't performing as it should. Some of the washers don't spin the clothes enough, leaving them still sopping wet, which means taking them to the other end of the building in one of the unwieldy laundry carts, to the centrifuge machine that is an extra .25 a load to use, but it's necessary if you're going to have any chance getting your clothes dry for under $10 per dryer. Unfortunately it has been the only laundry mat in a 90 mile radius, between Brookings and Grants Pass. However, the new KAO in town may let you use their facility if you call them first and ask. I hear it is again under new management/buyer. No doubt another who has been sold a dream, that will likely be pulled out from under them, like so many before . It would be great if someone could buy it outright, but I suspect with the aging infrastructure in the building, the major renovations will require more capital than most would want to invest. We sorely need an upgraded laundry mat to serve the folks that don't have in home laundry facilities or need to clean something their home machine isn't large enough to accommodate. Pros: Nice staff. Offer clean, fluff&fold. Cons: surly owner, poorly operating machines, inconsistent operating times. Not the cleanest.

Don't look, don't stop, don't support. Dirtiest oldest crap machines, with horrific customer…read moreservice. Absolutely worst laundry Mat I've ever had to use! I came in to wash two loads of laundry which should take no longer than a hour. Then the washer got stuck on rinse for an hour and I asked for help just to be told it had an extra rinse cycle... "False, I have used these machines for over a year and they run 25-30 minutes tops." Then my clothes were just soaked and filthy and the hot water didn't work and also without a spin cycle. So I went and told the lady about it and all she did was open the washer door and said " There you go!" Astonished that she didn't even see that my clothes were soaked I said to her that they were soaked and I can't dry them like this. So she annoyingly said to me take your clothes out, put them in a cart and bring them to the spin machine then let (me) proceed to load the spin machine myself with no instructions on how to load it and I said why spin them they are still dirty as I can see the dirt on my clothes still. The woman told me "well if your clothes were on a rinse cycle for a hour even with cold water your clothes are clean." I had to walk away in anger just to have her give me a partial refund and I still had to rewash and dry my clothes. So a quick laundry Mat visit turned into a two hour s**t show and a waste of complete time so now I'm here with just dirty laundry and out $25.00 that I don't have. Thanks Dutch laundry. Ps just sell out or close down, no sense in stealing peoples money and letting them leave with dirty clothes, it would do this town a favor.
