I appreciate that they thought to ask if I would take a back table as it was a bit noisy. The inside was comfortable and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I ordered crispy calamari, a village pizzeria sampler that had baked manicotti, eggplant rollatini and chicken parmigiana, an eggplant Napolitano (eggplant stack over pasta), a Marguerita pizza with balsamic drizzle and lastly a carne amante (meat lovers) pie. It was all so good and very filling. So much so, I was able to take some of it home to enjoy the next day. The menu is vast and you'll have trouble choosing. No matter though, all good!

Autumn was our server, she was very considerate and flexible. Every main came with a soup and salad. We got good bread at the start with plenty of butter (served room temp!) The portions are huge, and you WILL be taking home leftovers. The mozzerella sticks had a great pull and tasted amazing. The salads came with half a hard boiled egg, green and black olives, pepperoni, banana peppers, bell pepper, provolone, and fresh red onion. We were celebrating two birthdays, and we received two complementary cannolis. The pastry was from scratch and the cream was light and airy, absolutely perfect.

They were raving about their seafood bisque and brought a sample to share. Dipping their in house bread was great, and the soup itself was decent. I got adventurous and tried their "Italian Sushi". Not bad, an interesting idea. Jughead ordered a burger as usual, another ordered the ravioli, chicken parm and for me the drunken chicken. Everything was decent, but lacked a lot of seasoning, especially salt. I'd try it again but am skeptical.

I started with the Saranac Blueberry Blonde, which is a refreshing beer that smells exactly like blueberry muffins - it's so good! The bartender also brought out a delicious bread basket to start and the olive oil it came with was amazing - it had chunks of roasted garlic in it. For my entree, I ordered the Penne a la Vodka with shrimp, which came with a house salad. It was fantastic! It had a good amount of shrimp in it too. Overall, the food was great and the service was a little slow but thankfully the food was worth the wait. I was too stuffed to try any dessert but I hope to if I'm in the area again!

Makes plenty of leftovers, but it doesn't reheat well since the sauce breaks. The chicken fettuccine alfredo was also good, but not much chicken in it. They give you a quarter of a loaf of bread, which is huge! Calamari was good, they come with the tentacles and the sauce is fantastic. The desserts were the failures. The key lime pie, which I was told was made in house, was incredibly tart. I've had a lot of key lime pie in my life and that was the worst one I've ever had. The creme brûlée was better, but the presentation made it unappealing. The custard was oozing out from under the caramelized top.

I asked the server to bring another plate and started to explain why but she was on major caffeine or something and didn't inquire as to why I wanted the plate or why I moved my food. Anyway, the au jus was WAY too salty. Luckily once I took my beef, mashed potatoes and veg off the drowning plate, the food wasn't quite so salty and was pretty good. I think the extra salt helped for the leftovers because normally I need to add salt on leftover beef, but not this one. The veggies were cooked perfectly btw. My partner got the rigatoni (no meat) and it looked dry to me, but he liked it. The house wine was a caraffe for $18 and was ok tasting. Our server was too efficient. She was so fast and it was uncomfortable. She did not make any small talk she just rushed about and it did not feel like an old school Italian place in that regard.
