This place is a nice little hidden gem, just a minute off the northway at exit 18. I've tried a slice, takeout pizza, cold subs, and the hot chicken parm all within the last few weeks. All were incredibly good. The crust on the pizza is thin with a nice chew; the bread on the subs is homemade and crusty and soft; the chicken in the parm sub is grilled and not breaded. I would prefer more chicken in there, but they might have a double meat option. Rare to find pizza by the slice in the north country, and it's excellent. I struggled to find a menu online so I've posted one from July 2024.

This is a chef salad with an impressive amount of blue cheese dressing.

I've had a lot of good and bad restaurant experiences but I don't write reviews unless it's exceptionally good or bad. I'm sad to have to write this review, but the owners actions today left me regretting every penny I've ever spent here. Today I ordered a large cheese pizza, a dozen wings with blue cheese, stuffed shells, 2 cannolis and 2 sides of blue cheese (in that order). The girl taking the order kept asking me to repeat what I said after each item was mentioned. When I was finished, I asked her to repeat the order back to me to make sure she got everything. She rattled off everything so fast I couldn't keep up. I figured she got everything, sense she asked to repeat everything at least twice. When the food got here there was a chef salad I didn't order and the stuffed shells were missing. Everything else was there. I called the restaurant and politely informed the girl who took my order that there was a mistake. I thought they may have given me someone elses food and maybe they had my shells at the restaurant. She put the owner on the phone who immediately became defensive and rude. At this point I realized the girl who took my order thought I said "chef salad" instead of "stuffed shells." It's not her fault she couldn't hear the order, but I would have caught the mistake if she had asked what dressing I wanted with the salad, but she never did.. which is weird because once we realized we were stuck with the salad my boyfriend opened it and it was literally drowning in blue cheese (as seen in the picture). Anyway, she got the owner on the phone and after I explained the situation he became short, rude and implied that this was my fault. There was no "I'm sorry for the miscommunication." No apology at all. I was surprised and caught off guard by his behavior. I get that times are hard right now but damn.. I've spent well over $1000 at MIA pizza and recommend this place ALL the time. I work in a restaurant too and when people ask me what's a good pizza in the area I always recommended MIA. I've convinced at least dozen people to try it. Because of his actions today I will never order from here or recommend this place again.

The best pizza and wings in the region. Orders are fast and made to your liking. The medium size pie is like others large!

I can honestly say this IS the best pizza I have eaten since the old "Gold Shade" in Glens Falls.

Kelly was our server and she was awesome. She is so professional and knowledgeable and friendly. Today was the 2nd anniversary and we received some very nice appetizers to celebrate this great event. We ordered Duck, Sauerbraten, Wiener Schnitzel, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Bratwurst, Knockwurst, and Weiwurst. Some of us ordered the asparagus soup to start( Spargel). It was so creamy and delicious. The food came promptly and cooked to order. You will definitely need a to go box as you will be served a generous portion. We finished up with an Apple strudel for all to taste. It was just delicious. It was an incredible dinner in a nice atmosphere. This is a very nice restaurant and the prices are fair for the food you are served. We will be returning to enjoy the fine German cuisine.

The Arctic air had ideas about permanence. The car's thermometer read -14, and it didn't know the wind was gusting at 30 mph. My family and I scurried off Route 9 and into Spargel on 9, seeking sausages, gravies, and the hearty warmth of central European food. We had a six o' clock reservation. We arrived ten minutes early, cheeks stinging, only to find the dining room looking pleasantly underpopulated. I would guess a quarter full, perhaps one third if I was feeling generous. Reservations, in this case, felt like bringing a life raft into a swimming pool. Still, it's nice to feel expected. The host asked if we would mind sitting in a booth in the bar area. This struck me as odd given the abundance of empty tables in the main dining room, but mystery is good for the appetite. We agreed and settled in among the taps and glassware. Warm pretzel bread appeared with honey butter that tasted as if bees had briefly considered culinary school. We ordered Backers mit Apfel Sauce, potato pancakes with apple sauce, and they arrived promptly. Crisp at the edges, soft in the middle, devoured with the focus of people who had just crossed a tundra parking lot. The table went silent save for appreciative chewing. My wife chose the Rindfleisch Gulash. It arrived in a state of deep, fragrant seriousness. The beef fell apart at the slightest suggestion from a fork. It was rich, warming, and the sort of thing that makes winter feel much less like a personal attack. She allowed me several bites, which I accepted with the gratefullness of a man being handed state secrets. I ordered the Kassler Rucken Vom Grill, featuring smoked pork loin from Oscar's Smokehouse, a local legend. The cut was thick and beautifully smoked. My wife and oldest son both sampled it and approved. Yet in the quiet corner of my mind I could not escape the notion that I was enjoying a very accomplished ham steak. This is not an insult. It was expertly prepared. I simply suspect that on my next visit I will wander elsewhere on the menu. My oldest son selected the Erlanger Sauerbraten and took to it with enthusiasm. He managed about half, which for a growing fourteen year old is an achievement bordering on mythical. The rest went back to the hotel in a box, where I am told it continued to perform admirably. My youngest ordered the kid's bratwurst with french fries. This was the one faint cloud in an otherwise sturdy sky. The sausage was on the small side and the fries were serviceable but uninspired. After finishing, he remained hungry, which is notable because he is not typically an ambitious eater. At this price point, a more generous bratwurst would have felt right. Service was the chief reason I cannot quite award five stars. It was exceedingly slow. Not inattentive, and certainly not careless, simply stretched thin. Our server and bartender, Beau, moved with the intensity of a man attempting to occupy three dimensions at once. He mixed drinks, took orders, ran food, delivered checks, and did it all with good humor and great skill. The delay was clearly a matter of staffing, not effort or ability. In the end, we left warm, well fed, and maybe slightly perfumed with smoke and gravy. The food was very good, and in some cases excellent. The room felt welcoming, even if curiously arranged. We will return the next time we find ourselves braving a Queensbury winter evening. Four stars, gladly given, with hopes that the next visit includes an extra pair of hands behind the bar or in the dining room, and perhaps one more bratwurst for the smallest member of the family.

The open kitchen makes the whole experience so fun, and you will feel the passion from everyone working there... We started with the lumpia, which was simple and delicious, with a dipping sauce that had the perfect spicy kick. For entrees, hubby had his favorite, short ribs with frenched onion and I had my fav, Pad Thai -- both were bursting with flavor and beautifully balanced. Dessert was Asian crème brûlée, which was creamy, light, and a perfect finish. Our cocktails hand made by Phil were delicious, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere they have created is warm, upbeat, and genuine. Every dish felt thoughtfully made, and the staff there truly seems happy to be doing what they do and told us so. They love working with Shannon and Phil. These folks know what they're doing. Korean wings were spicy as advertised, but hit the mark on crunch, savoriness and just the right level of sweetness. I could have made a meal out of these, but I was nice and shared 'em. We also had a Mediterranean dip sampler that was outstanding. I then had a fabulous salad with Thai-inspired mango shrimp. Others at the table had steak, homemade pappardelle pasta and a version of a wedge salad. Rave reviews all around. Dessert? We almost declined. Instead, we all shared a piece of the gigantic, insanely good slice of baklava cheesecake. Our server was the bomb. Wish I could remember her name. I look forward to going back as the menu changes with the seasons.
