I've gotten my septum pierced here, but I wouldn't recommend them for tattoo work, at least not without getting a few quotes from other places first. I have a hand tattoo of a rose that I finally want colored after 2 years and went here for a quote because it's so close to my house. The potential artist said the owner recommended $500 but he was "willing" to do it for $400 + $80 deposit (Total $480). $20 difference. What a joke. What he didn't know was that I already got another quote from a different shop and this guy was going to charge me $250 just for color or $300 if I wanted him to touch up the black as well, and a $100 deposit THAT WENT TOWARD THE WHOLE COST. I didn't know that guy, I was just a man walking in off the street after I saw his work on Instagram and he gave me a great price. Old Traditions should be your second or third stop, never your first. read more

PSA!! Do not take your child to get their ears pierced here!!! The owner who was also the piercer (of course) completely butchered my daughter's ears by shoving the needles in at the wrong angle (she was sitting perfectly still) and pierced through her neck skin!!!! Idk why he was doing it so quickly as there was absolutely no rush. I respectfully argued about placement and he said "oh no it's fine it's supposed to look like that blah blah blah." So I went to another piercer for a 2nd opinion and sure enough they were messed up and she was so sad and concerned for my daughter. I went straight back next day and demanded a repierce. He still even argued with me the next day!! Claiming he has 12 grandkids and this is totally normal. My daughter is traumatized from the experience of being pierced 2 days in a row. She WILLINGLY sat for the first time but was obviously horrified to sit for the repierce. I still feel guilty holding her down. I paid $100 for the piercings and I'll be damned if they're not exactly how they're supposed to be. They also use butterfly backs which is cheap and not okay. Who messes up LOBE piercings?? Claires would have done a better job!! This place is severely money driven and it's obvious. Save yourself the headache and the argument with the piercer and go to Hidn ink tattoo for your piercing needs. Old traditional needs to have their piercing license taken away immediately. I'm still so upset about this and probably will be forever bc we waited until she wanted to go get it done and I feel like I failed her taking her to a messed up place that didn't know what they were doing at all. I called needed an urgent nose piercing. I've been wanting it for a while and things have just been going down hill lately, I really needed a lift me up and this place WAS AWESOME! It was like 6:30 after a crazy day and they are open till like 9pm and take walk in until 8:30. I got there and the guys were so nice! He was quick to explain the process, sign paperwork and scan my ID. Then the guy whimpered me was so sweet! He was so kinda and had a good humor! It was definitely one of the best piercing experiences I've ever had! (Number 14 for me) DEFINITELY coming back here for my next one! He was even really good at telling me a couple times how to clean it and take care of it (I do forget a lot of stuff as soon as someone tells me!) I really appreciated the customer service, cleanliness and how much they cared I previously got a tattoo here about 4 years ago... and it was for my grandfather, who passed away... my artist was kind of cold.. didn't talk much and it felt like he was pressing harder than other tattoos I've gotten before... (this was on my foot, so that may be why) I have over 20 tattoos and this is the first one that hurt really bad while healing... had bubbles... this experience was not so great... would have liked better communication and a more pleasant artist... also I do believe you get what you pay for and want to pay for beautiful art work but... I love this shop! Sam has done 5 out of 6 of my tattoos. The staff is always friendly.. the owner doesn't take any crap from anyone (patrons, employees, etc). Every time I've gone in, the shop is very clean. The sterilized instruments are laid out at the artists station and not opened until you're there. Sam is the only artist I've been to, and he's nailed the design I was looking for every time! I've seen photos from the other artists and they all do good work as well! First and foremost, I want to express my complete discussed with how the owner "Carl" of the tattoo place conducted himself in the end. As you can see in the pictures, there's a drawing of a mermaid that I made for a friend of mine. My friend then took said drawing into the shop, showed it to the tattoo artist, and this is what he was supposed to have tattooed. The tattoo on my friends arm looks nothing like the drawing I made. My friend was nervous going in, nervous while it was being done on his arm, not to mention my friend is disabled. He was in a bit of pain as well tattoos are not painless. And yes he walked away from the shop with no complaint when he was driving home he sent me a picture of the finished tattoo and to my surprise that's not what I drew. I pointed out that the tattoo was missing lots of things, the weed leaf on the tail was not a weed Leaf, that's a spring leaf as you can see. That's when he noticed and was upset because they didn't do what they were supposed to. I then called in spoke with the owner of the shop "Carl" he was very professional, very kind and helpful with his explanation. Even though everything he was telling me was a lot of crap. Telling me that my drawing was non-symmetrical, could not be put on as a tattoo the way that I drew it. Argued with the fact that the leaf on the tattoo was supposed to mimic being underwater, and the movement underwater or whatever. I explained to him that that's not what we wanted done I explained to him that that does not look like a weed Leaf it looks like a spring leaf. The veins on the leaf don't even match up with what a weed Leaf actually looks like. The lines on the tattoo itself as a whole are very sloppy,there's no crown , there's no blunt, and what happened to my mermaid's breasts? she's flat chested now! he told me that my friend walked out happy even thanked them for the work and what not so he didn't see any sort of a problem. But that if my friend wanted he can have the crown put on for free. But he would have to wait 2 weeks. Fast forward 2 weeks, I call again I asked to speak with "Carl" who is the owner of the shop they passed over the phone. He acted like he didn't remember who I was as if he tattoos a bunch of mermaid with weed leaves on people. So it's hard to remember who he spoke with. But that's fine he was still respectful still calm and basically let me know that I'm not the one that needed to call about making an appointment, That it needed to be my friend because he's the client. So I said okay that's great but I also wanted to bring to your attention that after carefully looking at the tattoo, we noticed that it is very sloppy the lines aren't crisp on the tattoo, the lines are actually way too thick if you weren't going to shade it in. it shouldn't be so thick it looks like a child Drew this tattoo I was assuming that it may have been an apprentice that took on this job. He says "no it was a full-on artist" my response to that was "well okay that's not good then because the tattoo is actually pretty sloppy and doesn't look like it's professionally done" I would like for the tattoo to be touched up so that it looks more Crisp and if anything shaded in. That's when he kind of got an attitude with me and told me that this is something my friend needed to tell him not me. which is understandable I get that. now I told him that I would call back with my friend on three way and he said that I didn't need to be on the phone that my friend is old enough to take care of this himself which is true my friend also has disabilities and gets extremely nervous when talking to people which is why I was going to be there with him on the phone fast forward a couple of hours we call back my friend lets him know what his concerns are I said nothing I was on three way but I didn't say anything Carl was very professional and told him okay why don't you come in we'll take a look at it and then we'll go from there fast forward another 2 hours my friend does go into the shop I'm still on the phone I'm on speaker and he's explaining to the owner everything that he feels is wrong with the tattoo all the things that are missing the fact that the Tails weed Leaf isn't a weed leaf that it's a Spring leaf and it should not have been changed because it takes away from the drawing that I made. Carl was only trying to justify the screw up saying that the reason why they curled the leaf is because it was supposed to mimic being underwater because she is a mermaid and trying to say that the reason why she's flat chested is because the real aerial doesn't have large breasts and that's when I chimed in and said okay sir but that wasn't the point the point was, it was a version of Ariel not Ariel herself it was only a version of Ariel. basically he was yelling over me first of all and I asked him if I could finish what I was saying and he said "no I will not let you finish because you're not my client I don't need to deal with you I need to spea read more

I would not recommend getting finger tattoos here. I was charged 80 for two very small tattoos on my finger and the tattoo artist went too deep and now a year later my tattoos are very much present and the ink bled under my skin so it looks smudged. I thought over time they would fade but they are still very there and dark. After the tattoo artist was done I heard him ask the other tattoo artist there how deep he goes with the needle, he should've asked before starting on me. I was quoted 1k at a tattoo removal clinic to remove one of them. read more

Walked right in for two piercings and a small tattoo. Aboo was excellent and very professional, everyone in the shop was nice and welcoming.

Let me start off by saying that I have been to this shop a total of four times and it wasn't until my experience this early afternoon that makes me question the type of people who work here. I came in with my sister (this is her second time coming to the shop as well) early this afternoon and was attended by a female piercer. Unfortunately, I was fatigued by the experience and was about to pass out when she begins to panic. It wasn't until another gentleman in the shop came into the rescue. If it weren't for him, I don't think I would have been in good hands. Then, due to the overwhelming event, I began to vomit and have hot flashes. My sister (a former piercer) and the apprentice assisted me at this point. Meanwhile, ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES at the shop were mocking me and humiliating me. Yeah, I was embarrassed, but can't get around the fact that these people lacked empathy, maturity, and experience in emergency situations. Can't recommend, and they're no longer having our business. That was a seriously scary experience and hope the owner of this shop can take this review as constructive criticism. read more

I called ahead of time and talked with a female piercer and told her that I was coming in to remove and put back in a lip piercing for an MRI and I'd rather tip than pay a charge, she said that was fine and to come in anytime. When I came in today they made me pay, and after being forced to use the ATM they cut my lip. I don't know how you can cut someone's lip taking off a ring but he did. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR PIERCINGS!!!spent 140$ for snake bites, the placement on the outside was great but not great on the inside where the needle went through. the backing was grinding on my teeth and it was nearly peaking out my mouth because of how high it was, if i puckered my lips you could see the flat back clearly peaking out my mouth. i asked for a refund the next day after taking a closer look and they declined because i went to another piercer for a second opinion.. even tho it didnt take a professional to tell it was not done correctly. i was also told "its about how it look on the outside" but 140$ for a obvious uncomfortable mess up was absurd. i offered to put it back in to show the messed up angel the piercing went through on the inside and they still declined. i have now gotten 4 piercings there and only 1 came out right which was the septum. i took out the snake bites and got done correctly by someone who knows what they're doing for a much cheaper procedure and can tell the huge difference in the placement of the piercing. they tried to blame the swelling but after getting them re-done by someone else i can say it WAS NOT due to the swelling. i basically donated money . if i could give a 0 i would. 140$ for a mess up read more

So I took my 8 year old daughter on her birthday to get her ears pierced. The gentleman inside was the owner of the parlor, and you can tell he takes pride in his shop. It was very clean, and welcoming to first timers. He was very gentle and understanding of my 8 year olds nervousness. She did want to get her ears pierced but she is afraid needles. He explained how it was going to be, and what she was going to have to do for care for her ears after the piercing. It was nice that he talk to her, instead of at her. Got my nose pierced in January and the piercer was very educated as I told them my past bad experience with the same piercing I was getting that day. They marked me up, I let them know if I liked it, they ran me through the piercing and it was quick and easy. They recommended Bactine and it's been working so far. The only thing I would say is I'm not sure if they're were/are any jewelry options because I was given just a stud for my nostril piercing. It took about 20 mins in and out I would say my experience. My cousin, boyfriend and I went to this shit tattoo parlor for Friday the 13th for piercings. Boyfriend went first to get his nipples pierced and the OWNER Carl pierced him. He couldn't get the ball screwed on to save his life and the apprentice got it on no issue. He then pierced my cousins tragus and helix and this man really poked her tragus with one needle, TOOK IT OUT and went again with a thicker gauge over the existing hole. Couldn't get that one on to save his life either. I decided I didnt want to get pierced by this ding dong and waited for the other piercer to come in and do my tongue and nostril. As soon as I stuck my tongue out for this guy he immediately commented negatively on the apperance of my tongue and then pierced it. Far as all hell back in my mouth. Next was my nostril and this guy pierced it unevenly (I have one on the other nostril). Had to pierce it AGAIN. Still a little uneven but I'll live. I asked if I can get a discount since I'm getting pierced 3 fucken times and they said it's already discounted for friday the 13th. I called today to talk to CARL to say my tonge ring is literally INSIDE my tongue (turns out the bar he gave me was TOO SMALL. My tongue grew over the ball overnight!!?!)and he showed no interest. Went to Hidn tattoo to get my bar switched out and this piercer was horrified of my stories. DO NOT GO TO OLD TRADITIONS TATTOO. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNCARING. PROBABLY DONT HAVE THIER LICENCES TO PIERCE. Since today is Friday the 13th and it's almost my birthday I decided it would be fun if my best friend and I got matching tattoos.. the advertisement for the $13 tattoos stated the shop opened at 9am and that 2in by 2in tattoos were $20 (tip included) and 3in by 3in were $25. That was all. We arrived at the shop around 8:45am and doors were already open with many people inside and on the list to get tatted. We walked in and asked for the sign in sheet, the girl who was supposed to be handling that part of everything was frantically running back and forth with the clipboard. When we asked for the sheet to put our names down she said she had to verify other ID's first and walked away. So we waited.. and waited.. until she came by again and we asked a second time, only to get the same snarky response. We watched as other people got their names on the list that arrived after us. Finally, after waiting and repeatedly asking, we got our names down. Numbers 21 and 22. The shop owner then decided to make the announcement that they were no longer printing designs out to be made into stencils, we had to have them printed ourselves. That being said, and knowing we were so far down the list we decided to leave and get the design printed and then come back. When we came back, we approached the same girl with the list, Tory, and asked her what number they were on to see if we were coming close. She stated she didn't know, and walked away. Once she came back around we gave our names and design and she was quick to grab our paper, circle our design and scribble all over it, then walk off with it. We stood around for quite some time until the shop owner asked us what number we were. We said our numbers and asked what number they were on and he didn't even know! Then we went over to the list and saw our names had been scribbled out. Hard. Not like one or two lines but it looked like someone took the pen and scribbled until our names were almost ineligible. Then the shop owner went on to tell us that they do roll call every 20 minutes and if we left to get our design printed and weren't there when our names were called they scratched us out. HOWEVER, we were numbers 21 and 22. We left as soon as we knew we had to get a print out (that wasn't explained in the advertisement they were posting online) and returned as soon as we had our print outs. We didn't leave for the whole day, we came back in plenty of time for our turn. But I guess you have to sit there all day in that tiny, sweaty shop to call "here!" every 20 minutes or you get scratched out. There was absolutely no organization, every employee we talked to was rude and uninformed about anything. The girl who was supposed to be organizing this whole sign in process (Tory) was the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have ever come across in customer service. As I stood there waiting I watched her lose multiple papers, forget whatever she was doing, push past everyone waiting in that cramped little place without saying excuse me, keep saying she didn't make the rules or it wasn't her fault even though she was supposed to be organizing the people checking in? The entire experience just made no sense. Even the shop owner didn't know what he was talking about or doing half the time. Basically, I wasted half of my day for a tattoo I didn't even get. Obviously I'll never come back to this shop. I know a decent tattoo shop is hard to come by, especially in a city like San Jacinto.. but this place takes the cake for being the absolute worst. read more
