Steven Gonzalez of Artistryy Tattoos/ Mo Val Inked in Moreno Valley, CA is a liar and a thief. I came to Steven with a custom back design I drew myself. He praised the artwork, even called over another artist to admire it, and quoted me $800. I explained that I had hired a previous artist who had butchered my vision by swapping my original work with generic clip art, and I wanted someone who would honor what I had drawn. He seemed very excited to do the work, and said he loved my design. Steven assured me he would do it right. He promised to provide finished digital lineart two weeks before the appointment so I'd have time for revisions if needed. I booked two months in advance and paid a $100 deposit. Two weeks out--no lineart, so I messaged him to ask for it. One week out--he sent a tiny, half-assed sketch made of--you guessed it--more fn clip art! I waited. Another small fragment came in several days later. Sloppy, generic, and clearly nothing like my design. My original drawings, including two of my pets, were reduced to cookie-cutter garbage. I was losing sleep over the stress. I really wanted this piece to be done correctly. Still, I tried to trust him. His portfolio on Instagram was gorgeous, so I wanted to believe in him. The day before the appointment--still no full lineart. I asked to reschedule when he had time to do as he had promised: provide lineart I could approve of or request changes to before the appointment. He gaslit me and insisted that his other clients trusted him. I explained my concern and said I wasn't comfortable getting inked without seeing a complete draft, especially after my previous experience. Which he KNEW. He told me to come in anyway. He said I could at least try on a stencil. When I arrived, he was scrambling to slap something together on his iPad at the last moment. Not the whole thing, again, just one element of it. What he printed wasn't even close to my design. He took an elegant, feminine design and turned it into a back alley biker tattoo. It was thick, coarse, and ugly. When I politely told him this wasn't even close what I wanted, he said, "I'm not the artist for you," and then refused to refund my deposit. He immediately blocked me on Instagram and updated his bio to say deposits are non-refundable. Let's be clear: I didn't flake on the appointment--he did. He had two months to deliver on his promise. He lied, stalled, copied cheap clip art, and gaslit me to guilt me into coming in, wasting my time as I had to clear the entire day for nothing. He took my money, but did no real work. It felt like it might be his MO: take your deposit, string you along, ignore your design, and his own promises, and deliver garbage he knows you'll reject so he can pocket your money without lifting a finger. My husband said it seemed like a scam, and I agree. Steven Gonzalez is not a professional--he's a liar, and a thief. I now have serious doubts as to whether any of the art on his Instagram is even his. If he'll steal money, he'll steal credit too. Avoid this shop at all costs. It was as simple as adding bars and whites on my negative black tattoo, after he was done he surprisingly ask me for another $200.. and to be honest he really messed up my arm. he did all the opposite of what I asked him to do. Came here on Friday the 13th and got my second piercing on my left ear and a conch piercing! It was a very fast and easy process. When I went inside, the guy in the front told me to fill out a form and tell him what piercings I wanted. Since it was Friday the 13th, each piercing on the ears were $20, so it was a really good deal. Right after signing the paper and everything, I waited for about 15 minutes and got called in. The lady that did my piercing was amazing. Her name is Josie and she was the sweetest and such a caring person. She gave me a starburst and a ball to hold since I was nervous. When it was time to get my ears pierced, she told me to breathe in and breathe out. Easy process and within 3 seconds I got my ears pierced. I guess the only downside was her not explaining to me the procedure on what I should do during the healing process since I had to ask , but I understand that she had a long day since there were many clients! Overall, such a great experience and I would definitely come again for another piercing and possibly a tattoo in the future! read more

Third time going to repierce my snake eyes. Jax has perfected his craft and had infallible technique. Before when he did my snake eyes it was crooked because he free handed it. However, he now uses a nifty little tool to ensure symmetry. Jax has ALWAYS been super friendly and sanitary about his work and is completely trusted. I was really disappointed with my nose stud. I stopped by with a friend to get our nose piercing done for $40 and the lady doing our piercing didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. The piercing was super painful - and it was because she did not unsharpen the ends. My piercing came out within the next 6 hours and I ran quickly to another piercing shop to get my nose piercing put back in before it closes up. I was told by another professional that the stud was not long enough and that the ends were too sharp. This is the reason that putting in the piercing was so painful and that it came off so easily. I would not recommend this place for piercings. Update: I have had my piercing for about 3 months now, it has fallen off about 4-5 times and it officially came off in my sleep and the piercing closed. Would not recommend coming here for piercings. read more

visited during busy day (friday 13th). while understandable wait time, there was unprofessional organization of sign up sheets (tattoo vs piercing not sufficiently labeled, no way to view waiting time without asking). venue quite small (not bad) but not well organized. super small waiting area with no outside seating. atmosphere is nice indoors but unfriendly when employees are stressed. my friend was treated rudely by a staff member and we were unable to get our piercings since only the tattoo sign up sheet was out when we arrived which caused a mix up. unfortunate because we were excited to go but felt unfavored and mistreated by staff! hopefully the staff get better treatment too and dont have to be rushed with busy deals ! read more

I came in about 30 mins or so before closing and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. I felt welcomed and I felt assured Jesse was going to make my piercing straight.
