After years of following James Mullin on Instagram, I finally was able to get into his shop and get tattooed. Was very curious to see how tattoos shops were operating during the pandemic. James greeted me and explained how serious the shop took customers safety. He reminding me that mg mask must remain on with no exceptions. Social distancing between artists was practiced. The shop was extremely clean and everyone had masks on. James worked with me and my design and we completed the outline. He is very well known in the industry and his work is amazing. I enjoyed getting a tattoo here. My artist Seth was professional, kept his area clean, tattooed clean lines, and colored well. I came in short notice and was accommodated with kindness. I left within a few hours and had a completed piece that I'm proud to have on me. As for the shop, the inside has seating to the left when you walk in where you can wait and view artist portfolios. The restroom is to the right and was kept clean. The walls are covered in framed tattoo art, a mixture of personal art by shop owner and purchased art. The shop owner has several awards displayed. Came in and looked at the artists books since this was my first tattoo. Picked an artist that I liked (James) and booked him. I was able to put a deposit down online which was super helpful for me. Day of my appointment I showed him what I wanted, we chitchatted about what i wanted, the size, and where I wanted it, and he started setting up. The prep didn't take very long at all. I meant to shave the spot beforehand, but I forgot. He didn't have a problem doing it. The tattoo process went super quick. About an hour and a half. James was super nice and we talked throughout the whole thing. He seemed comfortable talking and working. It hurt way less than what I imagined and I am very happy with the result! Just remember, CASH ONLY. I didn't and had to beat feat across the street to the bank to withdrawal money, but they were cool with it. read more

I hate doing this but i don't want other people to get botched like me. I had my first belly button piercing done back in 2021 with Adrianna. It was fine at first and I was so excited until it started rejecting and it completely pushed out. I was bummed but I was expecting it to be a possibility so no biggie. I went back to get my nose pierced with her in October 2022 and when I updated her that was when she said "oh no it was because you had the wrong jewelry! You need floating navel jewelry because of your anatomy I have some if you wanna get it redone!" I went back to get it redone in April of this year and I was so excited because I had been left with a scar that already made me self conscious and she made it seem like this would be perfect and advertised it as such. I got it pierced again and it was only about 3 months before it started rejecting. I went to consult with another piercer since Adriana just kept on deflecting that it was pierced incorrectly and said it was because of the jewelry and blah blah. The other piercer said it was done completely wrong and wasn't anywhere close to my belly button and that it should have never been done in the first place and an actual experienced piercer would not have laid a hand on me if they knew their stuff! I have always been chubbier and it was already an insecurity of mine and now it's even worse :(. Don't get me wrong she's good for other piercings but definitely did me so wrong with my belly button. I of course felt like I spent so much money ($110 plus tips and other jewelry bought) getting it done and I asked if there was anything she could do since she pierced it incorrectly, which she replied she doesn't do refunds. I understand there are policies but I have been scarred forever because of the incorrect piercing and Idk I feel like I at least should get some of the money I spent back. But anyways this is just a warning that if you have a different anatomy than others this place is not for you! read more

Strictly piercing review.. so I keep getting bad luck with my piercings. I got a double helix done NOT here elsewhere back in March and constantly kept dealing with swelling, redness and irritation. I kept being told by the original piercer that takes time to heal. I try my best to keep it clean and constantly use products that are meant to help with the cleaning. Adrina took care me last time for my nose emergency where I lost my nose stud and she quickly placed a new stud in. During that previous visit she gave me better knowledgeable tips for better more effective care. I have never ever so far encountered any issues now with my nose piercing not even an ugly bump. Well fast forward a month later and now I am contacting adrina about my double helix issue. She tells me to right away come in , took a look at it and suggested what could be the problem. She replaced my earrings with new ones she recommended. It's only been not even 24 hours and the front part of my ear looks normal!! No more redness , swelling and warm to touch feeling! The back side the swelling has gone down so much. If you are thinking of getting pierced go to this woman! She is incredible , amazing and knows her stuff!!! You won't regret her . I totally regret not knowing her before I did my piercings . read more

I actually had an appointment at another place in San Jacinto that I had booked a month prior, when I showed up the artist had overbooked and was not able to get me in any time soon. So on a whim I thought let me swing by Lotus and see if I can make an appointment. I talked to one of the artist at the shop Marc. I made an appointment with him for May 19th and he said he might be able to get me in sooner, he would call me a little bit later the same day, and sure enough he did. Let me tell you I am so glad because I am very very very pleased with his work. He did an amazing job with my Harley Davidson tattoo. It was exactly what I wanted. I was so impressed by his work that I kept my appointment for May 19th and I will be going back to him for all of my tattoo work in the future. I saw that they did piercings here and swing by to see if they would do hers. They were SO welcoming and were able to do the piercings right then! Johnny was our piercer and he was wonderful!
