Received bids from other roofing companies. I found that Old town contractor was reasonable and willing to do a few other things without adding to the price. That tells me that this company is honest and really wanted my business. When the work started it took 2 days. The owner Geronimo was on the roof with his employee 3 days later. Replaced the leaking furnance roof flashing as needed and 7 other pipe flashings and painted them as needed for preventative maintenance.. other work completed was removal of the valley tiles and cleaning out the leaves. Afterwards a power washing of the roof and cleaning of the property before leaving. Let's put it this way this is an honest roofing contractor. I am a retired B General contractor with 40 years experience I only hire subcontractors that I can trust hands down! The work that was done on my private residence was done to perfection, could not ask for anything more. You can trust Geronimo at Old Town Contractors. Great work at reasonable prices. read more

Old Town Roofing came in with a VERY competitive bid to replace the aging shake roof on one of my rental properties. They were not the cheapest bid, but I felt most comfortable going with them. Their estimate included a building permit right off the bat, which made me feel a little more comfortable. I had a few estimates that said permit was optional, which made me feel a little uneasy. They took care of the replacing the roof, repairing some dry rot, and installing new gutters. The dry rot repair was extra an $400; unfortunate, but not unreasonable. They started work a week after I accepted the estimate. Work started on Friday and they were done by Tuesday the following week. I had no issues throughout the process. This rental property is over an hour from my house, so we did the entire transaction via email, phone, and text message. Payment was made through Zelle and by check, deposited directly into their account; no need for me to drive an hour to the job site to pay them. Overall, I loved their promptness, their ability get the job done quickly, and their flexibility in payment options. Really good experience. They are definitely my first call the next time I need roof work done. read more

My roof started to leak over the garage during a pretty bad rain storm. Reached out to Old Town Contractors and was able to speak to someone immediately. The same day Geronimo came by to look at my roof and gave me a fair estimate for the repair. Fortunately he was able to schedule the repair the very next day and the work is completed in about 4-5 hours. I'm so happy because the weather was calling for rain storms the next 3-4 days and I can't imagine what would have happened if the repair didn't happen promptly. Thank you Geronimo and Old Town Contractors. Really appreciate how fast you got the repair completed. I would highly recommend if you need to get roof work done. read more

Old Town Roofing responded to my inquiry for roof repair after a bad storm over the weekend. I received a quote on a Wednesday and scheduled the repair for Saturday. Quick, easy and very professional. They also have really good, comprehensive customer service; I don't know much about roof repair so I appreciate receiving a quick synopsis of my issue, damage and repair options. It was a educational experience and I highly recommend them! read more

When having contractor bid on your re-roofing job, there are 3 types on Contractors. The Premiere, Gold Certified, High Roller roof master contractor that will give you an estimate that is twice the price of everyone else. ( He does quality work at a premium cost). Then there is low ball ( doesn't want to pull a permit) short cutter, shoddy work, half the price, hidden charges, outta business next week guy. Then there's Old Town Roofing with the owner operator Geronimo. His price was most competitive of the legitimate roofing contractors. He pulled a permit and supervised the job from start to finish. He stripped my 32 year old shake roof, repaired the fascia, new low profile vents, 30 years GAF shingles, and new seamless gutters. Geronimo worked sided by side with his roofers and did an excellent Job. I have a big pitched roof with dormers and many steep grades. His craftsmanship was really superior. My roof looks like slate. He knocked out the project in 4 days, he was on-time and under budget. Geronimo is real deal. read more

These guys came to my rescue. They replaced the old rotten trim boards with new ones. Their crew went above and beyond to ready my house for painting. I would recommend them to anyone. Good job and thanks read more

This review is long overdue, back in September / October of 2022 Geronimo came out and looked at the damage i had to my roof and addressed the issue much quicker than I thought they would. Thanks and keep up the good work read more

I can not say enough good things about Geronimo and his company. They are honest, punctual, clean, and VERY RESPECTFUL. Geronimo was the point of contact. He always was fair and listened to my concerns and what my ultimate goal with the repairs were. His son and brother were the main workers on my roof. Both were incredibly nice and helpful and were able to answer any and all questions I had. The worked very hard and long hours to make sure the work got completed in a timely manner, even when I added a few extra things to their bid. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a great roofing company. Thank you guys! read more

These folks did a roof down the block. It looked good, so I called them. They responded that day, and had a fella in the neighborhood who was able to give me a quote the same day. All looked good, so decided to give them the contract. It was a about 6 weeks before they could start, but they got the roof done in 6 days. I had a lot of dry rot, skylights, vents - everything handled. They handled the permit and inspection, so I really didn't need to do anything (except listen to nail guns for days!) One thing that impressed me was that they clean up around the house everyday before they leave. Courteous guys, prompt and professional sales & office staff. Fair price. I definitely recommend them. read more

We had several leaks during a storm and Geronimo came and did a quick fix to stop the leaks. Once the storm passed he returned and did an entire roof inspection. He showed us the problems and quoted a cost. He did a great job - no leaks during the last storm. He also went above and beyond and did work on the vents. The final cost was exactly what we expected. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. read more

Don't waste your time with these guys!!! They are very unprofessional! I had an appointment with them last Thursday afternoon. I went home early to meet them but was told they couldn't come due to delay of another project. So we rescheduled to this morning. No one showed up. No call either. Better to find out early than late. Move on. read more

I had the roof replaced on my townhome in Pleadant Hill, CA. I was extremely happy with the work and the way I was informed about the status. It is a family business and the people are very respectful of your property and took care to clean up daily as they worked. Geronimo was responsible for the job and kept me informed about the condition of my old roof and support. The pricing to replace my tile roof was competitive and I highly recommend this company. I had to follow the requirements of the HOA for the replacement and they were able to match the tiles and colors easily for the HOA approval. They remove the bin each day with the old materials in order to meet HOA restrictions. I had the original roof from 1976 replaced and could not be happier with the work, read more

Old Town Contractors just completed repairing several leaks on our roof. They were the only contractor to immediately respond to our call during the recent crazy rain storms and schedule an inspection. They came out on time, presented a reasonable price and explained the process, returned as indicated to do the work and did an even better job than expected. This is the first time in a long time I can without reservation recommend a company. Geronimo Mercado is your man if you need roof work done. read more

Geronimo Mercado & his crew are excellent. We needed a total roof replacement on a very difficult, steeply pitched roof on an English Cottage style house in the East Bay and Old Town Roofing was one of the ONLY local roofing companies that would even tackle this risky job. We are so pleased with the finished roof and can't recommend Old Town Roofing, inc. highly enough! read more

This review is for a bid process. I had contacted them to bid on certain repairs needed. They took all the details - report, address etc but stopped communicating back. Cant imagine what the experience would have been if we moved forward with them. Not a professional way to deal with potential clients. read more

Geronimo and Old Town Roofing was referred to us when we had a leak recently, and we are so happy we went with them. They were prompt, efficient, listened, explained everything well, took photos, and did a great job. They replaced all our vents, searched for leaks, repaired damaged areas, and replaced roofing tiles. They moved us up when they had a cancellation, which we really appreciated. The estimate was reasonable, and they were professional. We would hire them again. read more

My husband and I went with Old Town Roofing because of the excellent reviews and the longevity of the company. Geronimo Mercado oversaw everything to the end along with his excellent crew. Old Town quoted us a price and that's what we paid unlike another person who would not give us a quote until he started the job (what good is a quote right?) The Crew cleaned up and left everything as was. Thank you, for a job well done!! . The Bustillos Family read more

I went with Old Town Roofing because of their Excellent Review and I was not disappointed. When most roofers couldn't find time, Old Town Roofing was able to accommodate my request for them to estimate and fix the roof. Geronimo Mercado did a great job and took time to take pictures so he could show me how the roof had been repaired. He also took time to explain how the repair was done and what to expect if other needed repairs would go unattended. I had a roof tile that had been cracked and slid down to expose the roof's underlayment which resulted in having water come through the ceiling when it was raining heavily. Overall, I was quite happy with the service and the price. read more

Was able to get someone to come out to give an estimate within a few hours - that was great. The estimate was free - that was great. Individual who came out had a heavy accent, which I could not understand, and masks do not help (love that he wore a mask upon my request) and when I asked him to please send me an email detailing what was wrong (that they could not fix) so I could relay the info to my husband he told me it would be $450 for a report. If I had known all of that upfront, maybe the review would be different. A frustrating and unfulfilling experience. read more

I highly recommend Old Town Roofing. I had a leak due to a broken roof vent and a few tiles. I called for a estimate and Geronimo came the next day. He told me what my issue was, and gave me my quote which was very reasonable. I was scheduled in, and they came 3 days later. The work was completed super fast and Geronimo showed me pictures of the work that was completed, as well as the old vent. This is a very professional company all the way to the receptionist. I needed a series of repairs here at my home and went thru Home Depot for the different services. The roofing contractor Old Town Roofing was on this immediately! Initial inspection the next morning...Repairs started and completed the next day...9 hours so this was no easy band-aid! Next day it pours! Today gutters finished..cleaned..repaired and new screens added so guess what? NO more clogged or backed up gutters and drains! I have used Old Town Roofing a few times now and have always found them to be wonderful. I have worked with Geronimo and he has been very responsive, always shows up when he says he will and returns calls in a reasonable time. After we had 6" of rain late last year I had a leak in my roof. I called him since he had done great work previously for me. He was at my house later that day and quickly identified the source of the leak. He was able to cover it in plastic so no more water could get in until he was able to come back and do the repair. When he was back the following week I had found another leak. He was able to fix the first leak and we scheduled him to come back and replace all the vents on my roof as they were causing the problems. He also removed the tile and replaced the paper in all the valleys at the same time as well as replacing cracked tiles. My roof is now in great shape thanks to Geronimo. read more

I have never review anything anywhere on the net. But for this roofing company, I am going to spend a little time here for the first time just to show my appreciation of the professional quality that they gave me on the new roof of my 4 unit apartment with a very reasonable price. My old roof had 3 to 4 layers of old roofing materials on it. Over time it's start leaking beyond repair without taking all those old materials out. This company has their own big hauling trailer. My building has two levels and it's very tall. They meticulously peel off those layers of old material and bucket by bucket dumped into the trailer below without messing around the surrounding area. Well, the rest of the job like putting up new roof boards, water proof under layer, patch up all potential leaking areas, putting up roofing shingles, installed beautiful galvanized gutters, a new rain proof fire chimney cover which is not even in the contract and on and on. I will not go into any more details. All I can say is, they installed my new roof as if were installing their own home with care and with heart. I know nothing about roofing but these people you can trust. They gave more than what's on the contract. They were refer to me by my coworker and I am strongly recommend them to anyone. Nice job Geronimo Mercado and thanks very much for your service! read more
