Local bagel shop close to the UCO campus and so very good! We stopped in for lunch during a soccer ID camp at UCO. This location has a great relaxed atmosphere. A sitting area, work area and table area make it great to come hang out with friends, grab a bite or just enjoy some coffee and the news paper. There are plenty of options including a gluten free option with allergy protocols!! Thank you! I ordered a gluten free bagel with lox (pictured). The bagel arrived cold which was not great for gluten free bread and you can imagine. I asked the gals at the front and apparently there is an option to order the gluten free "cold". I was not aware and neither was the gal who checked me out. They were SUPER sweet though and remade the order for me.... With a smile! That was super encouraging for this gluten free gal! Be very careful and double check your statement because they skipped this often. They also have a really bad habit of using savory knives and spreads on Sweet bagels which makes absolutely no sense. Excited to get bagels on a Saturday morning. Saw the mixed prior Yelp reviews and saw this particular cafe had higher reviews. We encountered friendly staff and the bagels were good- nice size and texture. We bought a pre-selected bakers dozen. A little inconsistent with the shapes and some were flatter than others, but having attempted to make NY style bagels at home I know it's not an easy task, so that wasn't an issue. Regarding the prior reviews about lack of everything seasoning I want to let y'all know management must have listened because my bagel was great-pic included below. The bagel baskets need to be pushed back towards the glass case after bagels are retrieved. Didn't realize until I was writing the reviews and posting pics that they had my husband's fav bagel. The basket had been pulled towards the employees and wasn't visible from where I was standing. So why 3 stars? -The eôté Nicaraguan coffee my husband got was clearly burnt and had been sitting too long. I tried the Guatemalan blend and it was ok but tasted a little weak. We are familiar with the coffee brand so it was a matter of Old School not replenishing with fresh coffee. Wouldn't get the coffee here again. -Went to order the strawberry cream cheese and asked if they used dye. She said she didn't think so but I asked her to please check if it had red dye #40 because we have a child who is really allergic to it. She came back with a large can in hand and said it did have the dye. We went with a tub of plain cream cheese and salmon cream cheese. The salmon cream cheese had chunks of lox and was good. -A final observation- there was a Porsche in the drive-thru placing their order as we were walking in. After placing our order inside, waiting and then grabbing our coffee, when we went back outside the Porsche was still waiting in the drive thru for their order. The comments about the drive thru being slow seem to be accurate. The staff was very friendly but I believe the efficiency of making orders would improve if the staff each had specific functions. It seemed like a couple of the employees didn't seem to have clearly defined roles amongst the team. Bottom line-I would skip the coffee and buy the bagels. Willing to give it another few tries to see if this was just an off day. read more

Tried this place for the first time today with a friend. There was no wow factor with their bagels. I had a sausage, egg, cheese sandwich on their jalapeno bagel and it was good, but nothing special. The bagel tasted like a plain bagel. I also had their iced tea and that was very delicious. I see they have lox bagels which are my favorite (wasnt feeling that today) and I plan to return and try that on an everything bagel. I debated on giving them 3 stars because the food isnt particularly amazing and they made the same mistake twice with my friend's order. She ordered a cranberry bagel (by itself,no cream cheese) and it came out with a ton of cream cheese. She told him she wanted the bagel plain and he took it back (after offering if she wanted to keep that one while they made her a new one which I thought was nice of him). She is vegan so she cannot have cream cheese at all. He then came back with a plain bagel loaded with cream cheese (misunderstanding). My friend was frustrated at this point and it had been a while since I received my sandwhich. He was polite and took it back and brought the correct order a little while later. He was friendly the whole time and this might be a rare experience. If I came again and they kept making mistakes I might change to 3 stars. The atmosphere was nice and it was not too busy at 9am in the morning. They also have a great selection. I hope to try it again and maybe have something a little better on the palate. read more

This Old School Bagel is a little smaller than the May and Broadway location, but I love it anyway. It has a drive thru! I love that I can swing by even when I'm in a hurry for a quick bite and not have to go inside and wait in the long line. The quality is amazing and I love and am obsessed with their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I've been told they have pretty yummy coffee but have not yet tried it. They have a giant selection of cream cheese and different flavored bagels. You can really go crazy with your choices and mix and match anything. I was introduced to this place by a good friend of mine and never looked back. I'm actually typing this review in the midst of eating my sandwich, which is pretty difficult because it's just that good! I always get some form of breakfast when I come here and have never been disappointed. Since OSBC offers good food and very reasonable prices the place can be crowded at times. However, even if there is a line the staff efficiently keeps it moving so you never really have to wait for a long time. Also, there are plenty of places to sit inside/outside so it never really feels too packed while you're there. This particular location is open until 3pm M-F, Sat and 2pm on Sun. I am also very specific on what I want and the employees can never get it right or they are ALWAYS out of most bagels. Not only have they been out of bagels, but they've been out of common supplies as well. For example, straws, tea, ice, etc. This goes for both locations in Edmond. We come here once a week before taking the kids to school and have for three almost four years. This morning were the worst bagels. They were like big lumps of flavorless bread. Should have checked my bag before I left the store. Ordered two asiago bagels, one salted bagel and 8 oz veggie cream cheese, nothing special with my order, not toasted, warmed, sliced, anything. Got two bagels in my bag instead of the three I ordered. Double check the order to make sure it is right before handing it to the customer, that is your job. Bagels were mediocre at best and that is being generous. Veggie cream cheese should be renamed carrot cream cheese because that is all I could taste and see. Wait in the drive through for more than five minutes & actually had to honk before they actually answered. We may have gone about 45 minutes to close but that does not excuse the complete LACK of customer service...especially since when we finally got our bagels with cream cheese they literally put next to NOTHING on the bagel. I'm generally a fan of Old School Bagels but our experience at this location was sub par. The chicken bruschetta bagel sandwich I normally get was just not as good as the other locations. The floor was filthy. All the tables were dirty so we wiped one down ourselves. The kids (employees) were playing and singing in the back. We won't be back to this one. read more

Always a great spot for breakfast or lunch. Definitely check the hours, because I find myself craving a turkey guacamole bagel in the late afternoon, and I know I can't go grab it! My one unfortunate event with this location was with the pick up window. My husband had called in some bagels and coffee for us to pick up. He said there were about 3 cars in front of him, but he said they were taking their orders, and then waiting. And then taking the orders, and waiting. So it turned into a 30 minute trip... and our coffee was cold when we got home. I think if he would have known that it wasn't just a pickup/to-go window, he would have gone in. But then you get blocked in etc. So just be aware of that-- however it would be nice to get that fixed or having a better system for that. read more

This was my first visit to old school bagel as I had been given a gift card by a vendor and was excited to try a new place. It appeared clean and inviting with a nice set of menu options. We placed our order and although the dessert options for lunch were woefully lacking we made due. We took out Togo order bag and headed back to the office to work and eat. Got to my desk to find that while my coworker got her sandwich mine didn't make it into the bag. I called this location and advised them that they forgot my lunch and was transferred to the manager Anthony. He sounds like he is about 22 and although he apologized his tone sounded anything but apologetic. So I'm sitting at my desk, hungry, asking if they can deliver my lunch and he says no but I can come get it and it will be ready when I get there. Or I can have a free sandwich some other time when I come in. I asked if there is t something else can do because I can't leave work and now have no lunch, not that he knows, but am hypoglycemic and need food on a regular basis. I ask to speak with his boss and he says he is the general manager. I ask to speak with the owner and he says he is t in very often. Again, he apologizes in that same very unapologetic tone. The Everything bagel is not nearly what it was say a year ago. The amount of toppings on it is barely different than a plain. Used to buy a dozen regularly, not so now. Have mentioned it to a couple employees/managers who seem to agree they are not a well topped but no one offers solutions or reasons why. Somebody needs to explain the term "customer service" at the Broadway & 33rd store location. Employees playing on the phone while customers stand in line waiting to place or pick up order. Over chatty young female named Rosie at register who cant remember your order after repeating numerous times. Counter tops and tables are not clean. Management seems to have a blind eye or just doesn't care about customer service or repeat customers. Nothing like dead plants located outside the front door says " Welcome". Bottom line they don't care about customer service or appearance. So much for first impressions. Perhaps a health department inspection is required to get managements attention. read more
