Finding it was easy thanks to all the signs, and it's just to the left of Udander. The staff was super kind and welcoming, and there were so many savory and sweet options to choose from--bonus points for also having coffee, which makes this place even better. We went with the ham and cheese croissant and the spinach and artichoke Danish. I popped them in the microwave for about 15 seconds, and wow--both were flaky, buttery, and clearly well-made. My partner and I planned to split everything... but the spinach and artichoke Danish was that good. Cheesy, herby, and packed with flavor, so I definitely kept more than my fair share. I also ordered a latte, which was nutty, creamy, and not burnt at all. Their hours are a bit limited, so we're already planning another Saturday visit. I'm SO happy I finally made it to jack's bakehouse. It did not disappoint! This bakery is tucked in an office building but has great signage showing you how to make it to the bakery! It's pretty cozy and tight in there so don't bring a large group! But they had a few tables if you wanted to sit and eat your pastry right after you purchase. I had the hot honey pastry and let me tell you! I WILL be back for this. I also tried the chocolate chip cookie which my sister and I agreed was a bit salty from maybe too much flakey sea salt but delicious once you get past that. read more

I've been dying to try this coffee/bake shop for a while now. Today I finally was able to visit. I purchased a berry danish and a hot honey latte. Both were amazing! I had to double back to find this cozy spot, it's inside Carnegie Center on the first floor. Walk past a few other businesses and you'll find the bakery, the entire building is clean and safe. Two employees were working, and as soon as I saw all the options I was overwhelmed but they helped me navigate which selection to choose. I took the last regular croissant and the ham and cheese croissant for lunch. If I lived here, I would try a new item every day. The ham and cheese were so good, very rich in flavor. Very butter dense, but good butter so I loved it. I would have loved it warmer but then it would have dried it out and they have the butter flake DOWN. Delicious. The sausage Kolache without a doubt is amazing, and on top of that their croissants are gigantic and fluffy and flaky with each bite! Was just passing through OKC from Dallas when our bartender told us we needed to try this place-- one of the best recommendations we have ever gotten. Jack's is a bit tucked away, but it is worth going out of your way for. We got two ham and cheese croissants (heated up) and a fruit bun, and the croissant was probably the best we have ever had. It was flakey and light, very buttery (in a good way), and filling. The fruit bun had excellent, flavorful cream and it's sweetness was very balanced. The fruit and jam tasted fresh, adding great variation to the experience. The staff was also incredibly friendly and we were moved by their mission to honor their nephew who passed away. read more

There were 3 people working & I was helped immediately. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and several pastries for my friend and myself. The chai latte was full bodied and tasted incredible. BEST PASTRIES! Went here on a Wednesday morning about 10 minutes after opening. As soon as I opened the doors to the building I was hit with a buttery smell. Easy to find but I only think street parking is available. Good selection of items for great prices. The ham and cheese is packed with ham, so you definitely get your money's worth. I barely know where to begin, perhaps with an apology. I should have written this sooner. Let's start with the whole credibility issue. Yes, I've had plenty of high-end baked goods. I've worked in the service and hospitality industry for over twenty years. I've been to Europe, and I've tasted their butter before; stop. But there is a form of alchemy occurring at Jack's that I cannot explain. Over and over I take a bite of something familiar, and then something strange happens. It's like I'm thrown into an 80s commercial where a kid pops a stick of gum and rides a fruit wave, except the wave I'm riding is made entirely of imported butter. It feels like standing in Hawaii, staring out across the Pacific and not believing your eyes, except at Jack's you don't believe your sense of taste. Hands down, the best croissant dough I have ever had. The best Almond Croissant I have ever had. Some of the best danishes I have ever had. And I thought it was the best M&M cookie I had ever had, but I think that cookie may sweep all cookie competitions universally. I could write pages about every crumb and crumble, every crunchy or gooey element. I find week-old croissant flakes on the floor of my car and gladly inhale them like a hungry goldfish left unattended for the weekend. If I may humbly wish for any consideration, I would love a stuffing and gravy danish sometime around Thanksgiving. If you confirm them for Black Friday, I will get in line now. Also, a variated sausage roll or danish with loose Italian fennel sausage, I will only eat them, at the ER. Absolutely stellar and definitely worth the trip. We had been looking for a patisserie in OKC and found this one online, but it's quite the drive from Norman and they are only open during work hours. Today I had a rare day off so we placed an online order and drove up to collect the goods. The place is hard to find, it is tucked in a back corner of a first floor office building, but the baking smell carries through the air. The person working had my online order already packaged and it was a quick transaction. They were very friendly and the space was very tidy and well kept. I had initially scoffed at the prices online, but after seeing that each of the items were much larger than expected, I think it's perfectly justified. The Ham and Cheese was my favorite; it was light and flaky, but had substance and great flavor. The almond croissant was also phenomenal. The chocolate caramel cruffin was also very well made, but it is much more of a dessert. TL;DR - Top quality baked goods, friendly and prompt service, reasonable prices. Worth the trip! read more

!!!This cafe/bakehouse is worth going out of your way for!!! Wonderful experience. I stopped in right before hitting my next stop on my road trip through the South, and am so grateful I did. I tried the caramel Cruffin (croissant and muffin combo), ham+cheese Croisant, and iced shaken espresso w vanilla. All three were incredible. I haven't had a croissant with this level of crunch and flake! Their service was great especially considering the owner took my order and brought me my food. Staff was friendly and had great suggestions for me to try. My only suggestion to them is a sign in the front saying "Jacks, around the hall to the right" or some guidance because getting to the bakehouse was a little confusing, but so worth it. Our friend introduced us to this place, and we are SO thankful to her because this place has DELICIOUS pastries and bread. We had a bunch of their danishes, everything ranging from sweet to savory and every single one. The pastry itself was super buttery, super flaky. My favorites that we've tried was the caramelized onion one, and there was one with jalapeños that was delicious as well. The cruffins are perfect for a little sweet pick me up, too! The people there were super friendly and kind. The store itself is a shop and go kind of thing, there's not really anywhere to sit.
