I forget about Old Navy, but I'm always happy when I rediscover it. Recently, I decided I needed some basics like T-shirts and I remembered that Old Navy has a lot of T-shirts at reasonable prices. I mostly only wear cotton, which can be hard to find or super pricey elsewhere. Old Navy to the rescue.. On the day I went, they were having quite a few sales. They usually have some pretty cute stuff which always seems to surprise me for some reason. At this time of year, spring, there's a lot of linen, which is nice, especially for the upcoming hot weather. The store is relatively easy to navigate, but if you can't find what you need, the staff is always there to help. I was looking for particular T-shirts, but couldn't find them. I asked the staff member and they brought me right to them. I grabbed a few and continued to peruse the store. I found the fitting rooms and went to try on my items the fitting room, staff greeted me with a smile and told me just to take any room which was nice. I tried on my items some worked some didn't and I returned the rejects to the fitting room attendant. I found something that I really liked a lot and I wanted to see if they had more. The man in the fitting rooms was super helpful and looked it up for me. Unfortunately, he told me it was a very popular item and that he was surprised they had any left. I was lucky to find the one. I grabbed more tees but they only had black and white left. Still, I wear a lot of those colors so it worked out. When I went to pay, there was no one at the registers so I did have to wait a minute or two, but the girl apologized profusely when she returned . She was very friendly and chatty. My purchase was fast and efficient and I was on my way. I'll definitely be back when I need to restock my basics and sometimes to just stick my head in and see what they have. read more

I was in here shopping for school with my 2 granddaughters . I believe it was Denise, the blonde tan lady, who helped me. First she was cruising the store handing out shopping bags with a smile. Then when we were ready to check out she was our Cashier. I had a coupon for old Navy cash to apply to my totals when she said ," I have a better coupon" she then applied a different coupon with a bigger discount. I was so appreciative of her generosity. It was so nice of her to help me make my money go farther. I am actually bringing 2 grandsons this weekend to old navy to school shop. And after my next paycheck I am bringing a college age granddaughter to shop. I like old Navy , but now Denise made me feel like they really care about their retuning customers and try to go the extra mile to keep them in the store. The start of my visit was great, perusing the store and trying on my items in the COVID world wasn't so bad. Unfortunately the customer service was atrocious - starting with a woman at the front, she did nothing to offer looking in the back for a different size, or even saying that my item could be purchased online for 50% the price in store. While in line, an unintelligible employee comes up to ask if we're paying with credit card and to follow her if that's the case. She doesn't apply the discounts that should be, and worst of all fails to include the $10 cash for every $25 spent coupon for our $140 purchase. Really Vista Old Navy? My wife and I shop here because it's easy, and the sales are tough to beat. We visited on Memorial Day weekend during the big 50% sale. On a Saturday. Crazy, right? Actually, not so bad. Crowds were minimal and the condition of the store was only semi wrecked. The staff we encountered were pleasant and we didn't get a feeling of burn out. Some of the clothes we chose but didn't purchase just had a cheap feeling to them. Not a big deal. The workout clothes were especially value oriented, and my wife chose a couple of nice sets to sweat in. Shorts and blouses were next, and we found a lot of good deals there too. All in all a nice experience here at this Old Navy location. The elusive fifth star is held back because our visit to the dressing rooms was...well, a bit chaotic. I think I will forever shop at Old Navy. I worked here about four years ago and even loved it then. Sure, the jeans never fit a curvy girl like myself just right, but everything else is fair game. I stopped in yesterday for their amazing flip flop deals - I've been wearing the same pair for a couple of years and they're past due for an upgrade - two pairs for just $5! You can't find a better deal. And they LAST... I may or may not still wear a pair from over two years ago... There was a table right up front with $5 graphic tees, and numerous other tables through the store with their $5, $10 and $15 deals. I could spend hours in there and spend a small amount of money on tons of clothes. I made it out the door with two tees and two pairs of flip flops for under $17. Score! read more

Okay, maybe it's been a while since I've shopped at Old Navy on a regular basis. Bear with me as it's been a couple years, although I've been to this one a few times now, so I can make a little bit of an opinion where this store is concerned. The pros of any Old Navy? Relatively inexpensive clothes and accessories that you don't mind if they get trashed. The cons? Still a bit pricey for something that seems poorly contructed, unless you're there on $1 flip flop day. THAT's worth it. Specifically to this store, however, is why you're seeing the two stars. I've only come in here a few times, usually when I'm shopping elsewhere in this strip and am curious for one or two items here. This place always seems understaffed, and those that have been left behind seem pretty bitter and jaded that they were stuck holding the store aloft. The displays have always been messed up when I've been there. Granted, that's usually after my work day, so they've had a whole day's worth of business, but it doesn't look like anyone ever tried to keep up with the masses' messes. The signage for sale vs. non-sale items is vague. Here are five shirts on a hanging rod with a "clearance" sign in the middle. One of these five shirts is on clearance, but you have no way of knowing which one. I just find this store completely frustrating, which is why I keep walking back out. I know Old Navy isn't usually so lackluster, so I will keep trying, but it's just terribly disappointing when you have a certain standard in your head and this is what you keep encountering. read more

I am always surprised that I can find what I need at this store. I'm not a huge fan of cheap casual clothes. But I can usually find kids clothes that will last a couple seasons without paying an arm and a leg. Recently I needed to find some warm kids boots to go in the snow and after trying a number of big box stores without any luck, I tried Old Navy and was stoked to find a huge selection of Ugg- like boots in different colors- on sales at 50% off. Absolutely perfect! My only complaint is that this location does not stock maternity clothes. When I needed them, I had to go to the Mira Mesa location. If you need a new t-shirt or shorts, this is the place! (And if you need a winter coat that you will only wear a couple times in SD, you'll probably luck out too!) read more

I love me some Old Navy! The deals are too good to be true for the quality and cuteness of their clothes. However, today.. This store was a hot mess. Signs were not displayed correctly with the sale merchandise and racks and tables were cluttered and not taken care of. Total disappointment, because I was looking for some clothes for myself and the baby- I only left with baby clothes. Couldn't handle spending an hour sifting through the women's department trying to find my sizes and clothes I wanted. Baby dept- YIKEs! Maybe I came at a bad time.. Although I do admit, I went a little nuts and grabbed tons of clearance items. Too cute to handle!!!! Impressed with the clothes, I left with a smile. Customer service. The young man who helped me was nice.. He told me to watch the screen, if something came up that I didn't like to let him know. I did, he fixed it and I was out the door. Parking is horrendous. It shares a lot with tons of other stores so good luck, come at an off time. Suggestion- invest in carts. Great prices and good selection and that's about it far as it goes. Customer Service at Old Navy is non-existent. The line forms in back of the check-out area and extends to the back of the store. There is no interest in opening another register and reducing the line and the wait. No wonder smart shoppers buy Old Navy on line. There is also no regard to help the customer with returns. If you buy the identical items in the store and on the website, don't try and return the ones bought on the website. It's a different company but, obviously, it isn't. At OLD NAVY, the customer is always wrong. The manager of the store cannot help or offer a solution. Old Navy is a main staple in the household closets. I have frequented many,many locations, and the reason this location gets a three star is because they need to get MUCH MUCH more staff at this location. Mind you it IS a couple weeks before back to school but there was about four staff workers when I went in. Two cash register, one floor, and one at the dressing rooms. It was midday on a Monday, and it looked like a category five hurricane had ripped through it. I practically waded in the clothing in the clearance. Went shopping on Tuesday night to avoid the crowds because I'm pregnant. However, when I got to the register they said their WiFi was down and they could not check anyone out. So they offered to put my stuff on hold until the next day. Unfortunately I couldn't make it the next day but I called the store and spoke with the manager, Brenda, she assured me that they would hold my items one more day. So I came back into the store on Thursday to purchase everything on hold, but when I got there I was told they couldn't find it and it was probably put back on the floor. I asked to speak with the manager again, I explained everything to Katie, who totally did not care at all! No apology, no offer to help look for the items, no discount, nothing! She just said if it's not in holds we don't have it. WTH! So I went around the whole store trying to find the items again and bought only 3 of the items that I could find from the original hold. The Vista store is a medium size store with a good selection. The staff was very friendly. I went today to the "Mystery Bag sale" (A closed bag with merchandise worth $100 selling for $20) and the items in the bag were very good. The "Mystery Bags" were sorted by sizes for example: Men's Large, Baby 12-18 months, Toddlers 3T, Girls Tops Medium, etc. We bought a couple of bags for kids, and the items inside were all nice and definitely usable, we were quite happy with the stuff in the mystery bags. The clearance section had great items for about $6. I got 2 active running shirts and a tank. Also, their vneck long sleeves were only$7. Just the right prices. I wouldn't pay more for the basics. I've been to this store a handful of times. I usually buy on sale/ clearance items in general and I found that their clearance/ on sale items weren't all that great in price or selection. The staff are friendly enough. shoes are not all that comfortable small and extra small sizes are made for larger women I think. I have gone in before and bought some kid's long jean skirts before and I really like these. Can't remember how much I got them for but it seemed reasonable ($10.00 I think). read more

He genuinely cares about the customers and the customer experience. I went into old navy to use my supercash today which I have never used before, so I was asking a few questions trying to figure it out and the middle aged blonde checkout lady turned around (I was talking to the cashier in the lane over from her) and was super rude to me making me feel like I was stupid for not understanding the super cash. I called 3 days before my son was due to return to school. I asked if they had polo school dress code shirts, the lady was so nice to me and said she would hold them for me and to ask for Megan. I drove over walked in and found Megan and she had all the shirts I asked for in various colors, nicely folded I might add. I walked right up to the cashier and I was out of there. My last review stated that I came here for jeans, which I couldn't find. I therefore had to place a couple online orders for them. Ultimately, I returned one order in its entirety, and I only kept 3 pairs of jeans from the other. That is where my trouble with the entire Old Navy brand starts. Old Navy insists that I kept 6 pairs of jeans. That doesn't even make sense, as those 6 pairs represent several different sizes -- I only kept one size, the one that fits. I tried calling Old Navy's customer service line, but was put on hold for nearly an hour. As I was at work, I had to hang up. I then tried e-mailing. All I got was an automated acknowledgement of my inquiry, and a promise of a personalized response in 1-2 days. I never got it. Even for the order that Old Navy verifies I returned in its entirety, I was issued an incomplete refund. It was only $0.04, but it still makes no sense, and highlights a problem with Old Navy's refund process and/or accounting ability. Moreover, they randomly sent me a pair of kids' jeans, saying that they couldn't accept the return because they had no record of my ever buying it... That's because I didn't. I don't have kids, or any kids to buy clothes for, so they sent me somebody else's jeans, and somebody else isn't getting their refund. To get any sort of response from Old Navy, I had to get my bank involved, but because too much time had elapsed (uh, yeah, because Old Navy didn't bother to respond and I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as I waited), my bank couldn't do anything about it when Old Navy refused to issue the credit back for me. Super sketchy business practices, not to mention poor customer service with the total lack of response. The most obnoxious thing was that I could have returned my order here, and watched as they counted every pair of jeans! However, I didn't want to make the poor salesperson do that, especially because I had like 15 pairs of pants (I knew I wanted 3 pairs of jeans, but had to order a range of sizes because the jeans I was told I was ordering the first time turned out to be different, and the sizing was different). For ~$76, they've lost a customer. Even if I buy Old Navy products from now on, it will be through eBay or something, so that I'm not giving Old Navy any more money. Good job, Old Navy. read more
