The fabrics are thin insubstantial quality even in "sweaters" and easily torn or ruined even when hand-washed. I recently ordered some items that were very well priced but "last-stop cannot-return" hoping to save money. Unfortunately this has been my final last reality check to never waste my money again with them. Sad to see their downward spiral but I'm jumping ship now!

The employee with whom we interacted was truly the best provider of customer service I have ever met. She was extraordinarily helpful without being overbearing. Her help was fantastic and at no point did we feel stalked, an issue with which many retail stores struggle. I will absolutely return to this location. I cannot say enough good things about this clean and efficient store as well as the service provided.

Both are petite and both shop at Talbots since they have one of the best selections of petite-sized women's clothes around. When I tried to check-in, I realized that this location wasn't on Yelp, so I added them. (The manager was very happy I did that.) While the women shopped, I took a few pictures and posted them right away. For the few times I go clothes shopping with family, I know how hard it is to find petite clothing. This Talbots has one of the largest selection of Petites I've seen anywhere. Both found a number of things they liked. (And I have to admit, looked good.) We patronized, and found things; we paid (and got a $30 discount for joining their buying club). Then, it was off to dinner.

The gal that actually processed the return was helpful and very friendly (she gets the star). She tried to get the manager to understand the problem. The manager did not move, but stood against the wall with her arms crossed and said "we don't refund the shipping fee" (it was not pertaining to the shipping fee). The cashier was very apologetic and I said not to worry, I will speak to the customer service online. I have to say, I felt very judged by the manager. She was rude and dismissive. She had no desire to speak with me at all, much less try and help me with the discrepancy. I purchased two tops, so I'm not sure why she was so bothered. It may have been because the shoe box with the shoes I returned was beat up, broken and had a rubber band holding it together. However, they were shipped to me in that state and I was returning because they were too narrow. I likely would have shopped around more if she didn't make me feel so unwelcome. One other thing - the clothes at this store are not that affordable. The quality is not THAT good to afford such a rude employee. This visit to the store was a big disappointment for me, as I don't live close by.

Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. When I walked in I was instantly greeted by Sara who asked if she could help find anything or if I had questions. After 1 minute in the door and 4 items already in my hands, I told Sara I think I hit the jackpot! It's been awhile since I've been to Maurice's, so I forgot how much I love their selection! Sara hooked me up with a dressing room so I could free up my arms for my items. Another girl took the next batch and I was soon on my way to the fitting room to try on the 10+ items I found. While I loved everything, I narrowed it down and went to checkout. I asked the girl about the current sale (better late than never, right?!) and although none of my items qualified, she hooked it up with a $50 off coupon. Thanks for a great experience!! Like many stores wanting to move merch out before new items arrive. Many items are priced aggressively, like 70 percent off, while some are 40 percent off. It's kind of a fun time too because there are Winter and holiday items priced low, but new merch for late Winter or Spring are just in and regularly priced. Clothing and apparel here is superior quality and made for long time wear. Last year, I found a women's belted trench coat here on sale for under $40 and I am sure I will have it for life. I must have been asked several times if I needed help finding anything and the store personnel are always friendly and helpful, without being aggressive. Bonus for being pet friendly, and having clean, spacious dressing rooms and customer restrooms on-site. If you bring your pups, It's a nice area to walk them outside, before or after you shop too.
