It was clear that they were on sale but the woman who looked like she was from pine dale, full of tattoos, old as frick did not want to honor the price that was on line. She was trying to pass it off aanother kind of shorts. The picture on line showed the shorts clearly. To top it off on line they were more expensive. WTH! I have recently rediscovered Old Navy. I thought I didn't care for the clothing style there, but they have the cutest jeans and casual pants. I am currently obsessed with cargo/utility jeans and they have so many of them. I've been able to purchase them on sale, too, thanks to the daily email notifications I get. Just popped in for an online return. The line wrapped around and outside of their typical check-out line. I was originally daunted but it but it went reallllly quickly. They enforce social distancing so the 6 feet between each customer made the line a lot longer looking. I was quickly called to do my return. We've been shopping at this Old Navy location for many years. Yesterday it was even messier than normal - stacks of clothes laying on tables. Oh well - we found what we needed. There seemed to be less staff on the floor at the register so that might have accounted for the huge mess. Anyway, there was a sale going on, almost everything in the store 20% - 40% off. My girl managed to choose the only top and jeans that *weren't* on sale {sigh} I wish their clothing was better quality; it's never worth "full price." Years ago, ONC announced they weren't going to carry plus sizes in the store anymore, but this store has managed to carry a few plus sizes in some styles so I do appreciate that. I also appreciate that the store isn't huge and although it's across town from me, it's a straight shot up town. Last thing, the employees at this location have always been friendly even though they don't go out of their way to help. read more

As someone who worked retail for a while, I can say the checkout experience was funny. As usual, the young lady wanted me to sign up for all the credit cards and emails and whatnot, and I politely responded that I don't normally shop at Old Navy. When she was bagging my items, she sassily said "so I guess you don't want a coupon for later." I love the fact that you can order online and they will have it ready for you in store for pick up, it's very fast and convenient. The store itself it pretty big but everytime I go in I always feel overwhelmed I feel there's just too much too look at and at times the store can be a bit unorganized. Every year when my friend and I end up in Fres-YES for an annual show we make it a point to come to Old Navy- it also happens to be a time that there is a massive sale. That being said the place is usually busy but not too packed and the areas are cluttered if not a bit messy. It is usually around this time that you will have to sift like a miner panning for gold. What in the Fresno, SLOW Navy is this? It's the holiday season guys. You can sacrifice an associate on the floor to go on the registers once they start to get backed up. We're the associates helpful? -Yes. Did I get greeted upon entry of the store? -No Was the store clean? ie: clothes placed properly -It's the holidays come on now I was getting ready to get checked out and the associate left the register and didn't communicate properly to the other associate who ended up being the only associate on the registers with a line of 22+ people - It was a mad house. There were 4 other associates on the floor not including the manager and you're telling me, that no one, not even the manager could've popped on a register in order to assist the growing line of cranky people!?! Better yet - how about help your associate who was drowning up there but still managed to be polite and hold a smile. I don't foresee me coming back here and if I didn't have an event to go to that night where OLD NAVY was the store that was requested to shop in, I would have definitely put all of my clothes back and walked out of the store. Very poor customer service. I made an order online to pick up in store. Got an email order was ready and could I go directly to the pick up online pick up store register where there was a hug sign and marketing to tout how fast and convenient the service was? NO. I was told by the sales associate near the order pick up I had to wait in the LONG line of those making in store purchases and returns. She then left to fold clothes at the dressing room. I like their Men's T-shirts cuz of the cool designs. Plus you can't beat the price , they are normally between $6 - $15. When it comes to kids , especially an active boy like my son who goes hiking and on the track team at school, i need mountain load of T-shirts for him especially during hot Fresno summer months. As for women's clothes , sometimes I find cute tank tops , dresses and shorts. I've never been able to find my shoe size though ... they don't seem to carry size 5.5. :/ This season , they are carrying cute flowery dresses and springy tank tops. You know I protested old navy for a long time because they don't sell the plus sized clothing in store only online. This offended me deeply...like what the heck old navy? Don't want fatties in your store or what? Well...I had an hour to spare the other day and I was like eh why not I'll hit up old navy! OH MY GOD! So many good deals! Hahahaha I got like 100 bucks worth of clothes for 30 bucks. The store itself is super messy but not for lack of trying from the staff. It seems like they literally can't keep up and I can see why when customers are tearing through racks and throwing product on the floor or changing their mind and just leaving it laying. Those poor employees! Come on guys have some respect and don't make such messes! At the end of the day though, I will definitely be back! read more

I've been here a ton. There doesn't seem to be a lot of pride in organizing the clothing. Also, not having shopping carts is a minus when you have a toddler. Interesting conversation the other day when returning an item to a manager. On the one hand, she was helpful. On the other she definitely told me and my wife how sick she was of "black people" coming in and trying to scam them on returns. Yeesh. She was Hispanic, and we are white-- but still... No bueno. Once upon a time this was a clean store. Not sure what happened or when but I felt I like I was in a low end stop and shop. Everything was scattered and messy. Not a soul around to ask for help. Finally found a guy and asked where the tank tops were and his response was "it's been four years and I still can't find anything". There were so many clearance areas {which is not a terrible thing} but it meant there was little room to walk on top of the mess. It was first thing in the morning and not a sale day. Did they not organize before they closed the night prior? The lady who checked us out spoke to others as if she was a manager or shift leader but was not leading by example as she looked unhappy as heck. I didn't used to shop here regularly but I received a couple of coupons and decided to come by and they had so many cite pieces of clothing and sales that it was hard to then choose what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. I found various tops and work out clothing, my husband found many button ups and tees that he liked and we came our with a coupon for even more great deals. It is expected that during the holiday season it will be very busy. However, when I came in to grab a last minute gift on Christmas Eve, there were only 3 cashiers ringing up customers. Once the line started moving, a cashier would leave and there was a moment when a line full of customers were waiting with just 2 cashiers. I waited in line for close to 30 mins, to have to come back to get a refund because the cashier rung up an item twice. Such an inconvenience and as I was walking out the metal detector went off. Never saw the cashiers looked so quick to respond as if I took something. I had to wait for someone to "check my bag". Turns out the cashier didn't think to take out the sensor. This location needs to work on their customer service skills and management to properly get their customers in and out in a timely manner. Went in to exchange/return 3pairs of shoes that my toddler out grew before even wearing. I understood that I was past my 45 days to return for a cash/credit card return, but was willing to accept store credit. They returned the shoes, but only gave me what the "sale" price was regardless of presenting my receipt. So what they did was steal money! I purchase clothing for my kids here all the time. A baby and toddler grow out of clothes so quickly. They've lost a customer, I will never purchase from old Navy again! read more

I was not pleased with my visit today. I j just left a few minutes ago. There was a young lady walking around working on the store it looked like and the smile she gave while walking past was the highlight of the visit. I went in today for some items that recently went to clearance. I hoped top find a few workout shirts and be on my way quickly to write a paper I have due Thursday. I walked I and the store was and still is empty with the exception of about 3 people walking around. I get to the clearance rack and start top sift through the clothes... It is a mess, I understand that it's a clearance rack though and continue to look for some shirts. I quickly realize though that nothing is in place. I found women's and children's clothes thrown about in the men's clearance. I shrug it off though thinking how inconsiderate some customers are then realize that none of the clothes are I any order... I walk to the workout clothes that are not clearance and find some of what I'm looking for along with more women's clothes and children's clothes. There is no order top this place. I walked in ready to buy all they had of a certain type of workout shirt. At this point I gave up and walked out. I expect more from this store and expect that I'll try different old navy's next time. After about 6 months+ I will give it another chance probably. I'm giving this store 1 star because the staff there are HORRIABLE! I was there tonight and the store was practically empty, I get up to pay for my clothes and a young man is my cahier. Next to him is a lady which I'm assuming was a manager. She stood there the whole time while another customer comes up looking completely confused and wanted to do a return, the "manager" ( I'm assuming) just stood there for a good 2 min before even acknowledging the customer. I thought it was so rude of her not say anything for like 2 min while the poor customer looked confused. She could have said something like " hi! Will be right with u" I don't know, maybe I was just irritated at the fact that she was on her " work iPad" and didn't look friendly or kind. So as we ( my 3 yr old ) are walking out,my daughter bumps her ear on the corner of these sock displays. Not that my daughter wasn't paying attention, it was that these "sock displays" don't need to be there cause the walk was out that paying area is pretty narrow and crowed. So I had a gift certificate to use (yeah it's what I got refunded for something I returned... they have a weird system) and I wanted to put it towards workout shorts, but they didn't have my size in the store so I asked one of the workers if I could order my size online and if I could also use my gift certificate towards it and she said yes. So I waited 15 mins in their this obnoxiously long line for them to tell me my certificate can only be used in store and they could order the shorts, but I couldn't use the certificate towards it due to ordering online. I proceeded to tell her "your employee literally just told me that I could and I just waited in this long line for that exact reason"... all she had to say was I'm sorry... The thing I love about Old Navy clothes; their jeans. I've never found another brand of jeans to fit me so well. They have a ton of styles, cuts, and lengths. The funny thing is that depending on the shirt or dress, I fluctuate between two different sizes. If it's more of a fitted shirt then I'm a smaller size than say a t-shirt. So when you try things on, bring in a couple sizes. Wait for their sales, because they happen all the time and sometimes they're awesome. Buying online is nice, because with MOST things you can return it to the store if it doesn't fit. As far as their cleanliness... look... I've worked retail. It's NOT entirely the stores fault. Shoppers are disgusting, and make a mess. There is only so much you can do when people are shopping. Not my first choice clothing store but when they're having some of their huge sales, I can't say no. I love going at the end of a season when their clothes are on sale for super cheap. I recently got a ton of little boy shifts for $0.47 each and they're a size bigger than my son for next year. He's set!The last couple of times we've gone, the women's clothes have been on sale also. A lot of the shirts and tank tops were $5 each. Jeans have been on sale for $19.99. I'm not a fan of Old Navy jeans but that's a good price for people who do! Their clearance section is always huge but messy. Hard to find things unless you have time to stand there searching through everything. Last time I was there a couple of the things I picked that were on sale were ringing up regularly priced and I had to go and find the advertised price in the store. Literally the worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. Not enough staff, nobody working to recover the store from what was obviously a busy weekend. The line was a mile long, the store was a disaster. 70% of the fixtures were literally piled with mountains of clothing that was in no order. It was simply a disaster. At Old Navy, I don't expect great conditions, but I do expect to look at a fixture and know what they are trying to sell. It looked like laundry day for EVERY college campus in the state of California. It was bad. We had to leave. We couldn't make sense of a single price, promotion, or heck even be able to tell where the shorts were. These are completely unacceptable conditions for the limited store team and for the customers. The District and Regional Manager along with the corporation need to take a serious look at this location. This is not fair for the associates or for your customer. You lost my business today, I took it to the competitor, and I don't know if I will ever be back. read more
