I went in for a return and went to the counter in the Yard House side of the store, and the employee kept on chatting with her coworker for a full minute until the coworker helpfully said, "well this counter is closed, you have to go to the other side." Do these people (the girl behind the counter) lack simply decency? The girl at the other counter was very friendly. Bought a cute sweater while I was wearing it the first time a friend notice a flaw in the knit. Brought it back to the store to get a replacement and they wouldn't do it. I did not have receipt. They told me that if I had the tag so they could resell it they would exchange it. I told them I didn't have either, and I didn't think it could be resold due to flaw and I just wanted a replacement. I can always find something I like for my boys. I really like the light jackets and hoodies for school now that the weather can't seem to make up it's mind. The cashiers have always been super helpful. Sometimes I get items that are discounted and they make sure to let me know. There was also a time the cashier offered to bring me the free item that came with my buy 2 get 1 free. The line to get in opening day was ridiculously long, so was the fitting room line, along with the line to purchase your items. I forsee this site to be jam packed with folks for the next couple of weekends and people accidentally twinning because of the great deals! The clothes are better quality than Forever 21, but at about the same price points! Great place for the late 20's early 30's to find fashionable items at affordable prices without the "am I too old for this outfit" feel that Forever 21 leaves this age group. The kids section is huge! The children get the better end of the deal here. Cheap clothes for the rug rats for sure! The men's section was small but I don't spend much time there so I'm not worried about it. The store is generally clean and organized well with reps frantically trying to put away random clothes that shoppers have left behind. This place is an absolute mess much of the time, but you can't deny its convenience. It's a reasonably sized shop with decent sized men's section, some children's clothing, and then about half of the shop is women's clothes. The women's area is always the one that's the biggest mess while the men's is pretty much immaculate. If I wore men's section clothes I'd shop here a lot more often. They do have a decent mix, though, between more formal workwear and casual clothes. The quality of H&M materials has declined steadily through the years but it's still my go-to place for basics like plain t-shirts, strappy tops, hats and scarves, tights and the odd set of ankle socks. Though the materials aren't what they once were and the sizing can vary a bit, the stitching still holds up and they're longer-lasting than some other fast fashion retailers. The customer service can be hit-or-miss, but generally they're pretty friendly and quicker at checking you out than other similar retail stores that put security tags on every item or who do things in a weird order. This has been a long time coming! Fresno finally have a store that I normally have to drive 3 hours to visit! As with most grand openings, the people of Fresno will go and the store is going to stay packed probably for the next 3 weeks because it's so new to them. I'm very excited that we now have an H&M store however the lines were extremely too long. A long line kills my shopping experience so on this particular day, I just decided to browse the store look at certain clothing that I will come back and purchase. I'll probably have better luck coming closer to closing when most people are home. The store offers a lot of on-trend items that are hard to find anywhere else. They have a very cute swimwear line. The dresses vary in different sizes from the petite all the way up to a plus size woman. One thing I should mention is that most of the clothing is made in European sizes. Even though they make a conversion chart, you will find that their clothes line runs a tad bit smaller then an American line. Not to mention a men's section and a kids department from baby up to youth size clothing. I am definitely excited about the opening but just not excited about the crowd today. I love this H&M in river park. It makes fresno feel a little more hip and modern! It reminds me of being in more fast paced city like LA or SF! Well It's always busy of course but they have pretty average customer service. They smile and help you out, nothing more really needed in a store like this. The lines are always long but move quickly. I love going here because of the great deals. I just bought 2 dresses and two gingham button up tunic tops. It was during their spring sale so each item came out to $10 plus I got a discount for signing up on email! I feel like my clothes are quality and for $38 including tax, I am happy with 2 new dresses and 2 new tops! I saved $60! That's great! Who doesn't love designer clothing at an affordable price, this chick does! I have grew an accustomed to shopping at H&M in my early twenties and decided to pop in on a Saturday as I need some new stylish but trendy work clothes. They had some cute stuff that unfortunately I can't wear to work but they had a lot of cute work pants. If you know me...I do not wear jeans or pants to work only dresses and skirts. The county I work for also has a no short policy so that rules out about 90% of the clothing. I ended up trying on a few garments but decided to not get anything as I like to explore my options and look for bargains after bargains. I was not greeted or acknowledged by staff only in the dressing room. I prefer the H&M in West Los Angeles as they had more cute professional clothing. I will return in a few months to see if they have anymore appropriate clothing for me. I enjoyed the browsing and seeing the new options. I think it was very rude to have four people at the cashier counter and then leave one cashier by herself when a lined formed. If I was manager, I would of stayed or made sure someone stayed at the cashier to check out the people in line, and not have the customers waiting. The manager saw the line and still walked away. My wife and mother in Law went too exchange my sister Inlaws shirt from a medium too a large, my mother inlaw used a 10% coupon, she was given a very hard time by the store manger "Lepe".. he became very condescending, argumentative, abrupt and over all just very rude, Lepe said it would have been an "Unauthorized discount" for a simple exchange! He wanted my mother inlaw too pay a $2.70 difference for a straight across exchange... Lepe then became even more rude and was stating "every store as different policies".. my wife is and assistant manager at a store at the River park location that this specific H&M located at, Lepe stated "I can't believe you all do unauthorized discounts at your store" ... it's not an unauthorized discount!! Lepe needs proper training on how too "Manage" a store, he needs re-training on proper customer service etiquette, and he needs too practice proper mannerisms. Immaculate store!! I've been here a few times and each time i've came ( super nice upscale shopping center) it's been the same. I usually don't t buy from here my friend gets some of his clothes, undies etc from here sometimes. I was browsing this time thinking about what my 15 year old wears and saw some things he wears from express and hollister for dramatically less here and with near the same quality. especially the skinny chino's i pay around $90 for those at express and here they were $30!!!! So of course in my mind i was like yea this is definitely a money saving option for me. Nice selection of colours as well. I do like the selection of socks at express wayyy better but those pants are an excellent deal. I did browse the women's section and although the prices were really affordable i do prefer express for me. The one downside at this store each time i've been here is that the men's section register was not open and you have to go all the way to women's if you buy anything...That is a big downer in my mind. Worst shopping experience at this H&M. I returned some items I bought online and the cashier seemed to have no clue what he was doing. He mentioned that he had to manually input my items since the online returns weren't working properly. So I was patient and apologized for the hassle. After voiding the transactions a couple times (getting frustrated and annoyed) he finally completed it but did it incorrectly. I was very confused at this point and didn't want to bother with him anymore so I spoke to a manager who assured me I would get a refund on my card. A week passed and then I called corporate to ask. They told me it was not done correctly. They issued me the correct amount back. I have worked in retail and understand how frustrating it can get. But for a "manager" to not be knowledgeable on something like this, such as not even being able to read a receipt is unacceptable. So disappointed in this specific store. Checked out the store the weekend after grand opening (06/01/14), and the space is the perfect size. Lines are a bit "long", but this makes absolute sense because the store is still new. Mainly wanted to write a review based on the employees. I was impressed with ALL, and I mean ALL of the employees in the store. We immediately were greeted by a jolly male when we entered the store. I asked a question to one of the sales associates and she was very friendly. The cashier made the effort to bring up some "small chat" while he was ringing up our items. Wasn't sure if they were open yet since they had been closed for awhile due to COVID; they ARE open, hours were until 9pm, and I think 7 on Sunday. So I go to the store (I also feel like their sizes run generally weird, some true to size, some super small, some oddly large), grab a number of items, head to the fitting rooms and low and behold, they aren't accessible. I asked an employee, and she says, yea, they're closed. Just FYI, until further notice. You can't try anything on. I heard a cashier tell the customers she was ringing up while I was still looking around, that items are returnable still for 30 days, so we will see. I'm one of those guys who LOVES clothes shopping. So H&M is my heaven on earth. Stylish yet casual clothes everywhere, several different kinds to choose from. The selection of clothes are vast and the prices are actually very cheap for this kind of store. You can find t-shirts as low as $6, flip flops for $5, and obviously sport coats and things for higher prices. The average coat is between $60-$80. (Which is still really good.) As much as I LOVE this place, the one complaint is that they are so busy that there's always a massive line, yet they only have two registers running every time I'm there. That makes it slightly irritating when you're only buying one or two items. Other than that, helpful staff, great selection and awesome store. I'll be back many times. read more

I was looking for some classic, refined-looking threads, and instead was met with a shortage of the dress shirts and pants I was looking for. But if I had wanted to look like a fem-male escort to mary poppins flying by umbrella to Provincetown on cape cod for an orgy festival involving Persian cats and polka dots, I'd be in the right place. H&M has trendy style clothing. The mens section is for the metro type and seems to be on the slim fit side of fashion. The womens clothing is reasonably priced. I swung by on a weekday afternoon and they had about three racks of discounted clothing. I walked out with a couple of summer tops for $6. One was $5 and the other was $1! The dudes that worked in the fitting rooms were very rude. Walked up with a few pieces of clothing to try on and completely ignored me, didnt want to look at me. Came here to return some items I bought online and received horrible customer service. H&M recently extended their in-store return for online purchase to 45 days due to long shipping process but none of the people work at this store know that including the manager!!! They don't even know their own company's policy!!! How incompetent and uninformed!!! They told me my return was late and refused to accept it even after I showed them the policy on the H&M website. They didn't even bother to double check it and just insisted that I was wrong. The manager came up with some bs excuse that his store is different than online store and just wouldn't process my return. He even made a snide remark that he wasn't the one that bought all these clothes in wrong size!!! I called customer service and got a confirmation that my return was not late. Customer service called them to request them to accept my return and they told customer service that I have too many items and they were too busy at the moment to process my return???!!? I was super exited when H&M said they were arriving in Fresno, because I have been to their stores in San Francisco and across Southern California, and whenever I go there I always find something. However, I have not bought one thing from this store since it opened. Finding something here is IMPOSSIBLE. Staff didn't even acknowledge me. I asked for a specific piece and she just lead me to something totally different and left. I eventually found what I was looking for underneath a pile of clothes (store is not organized at all). I went to the dressing rooms and there was dirt all over the floor!
