I was returning two sweaters purchased online--one size large and one size medium. The large did not fit, and the medium was damaged (a button was missing). Both items were brand new, still had the original brand tags attached, and I had the receipt available electronically on my phone. Initially, I did not have my phone with me inside the store. Although the cashier was able to locate my receipt in the system, she stated she needed to see the receipt on my phone because it contained "pictures." I understood this requirement since the items were purchased online and did not have Marshall's tags. However, I was then incorrectly told that without the original plastic bags the sweaters shipped in, the items could not be returned. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since I had proof of purchase and the items were new with tags. When I asked what I was supposed to do, the cashier responded, "Honestly, I don't know what to tell you," which came across as dismissive and unhelpful. I ultimately went back to my car to retrieve my phone, after being told I would need to get back in line. After returning to the line, I unfortunately ended up with the same cashier, Kayla. I provided my phone showing the receipt, photos, and matching item numbers. At that point, the return was processed--but it was issued as a gift card. When I asked why, since I had the receipt, I was told it was because I paid via PayPal. When I asked where that policy was stated, Kayla said she did not know. To avoid having funds tied up on a gift card, I asked if I could return the items I had just purchased (over $100), then repurchase them using the store credit. She confirmed that I could, but questioned why I would want to do that. After retrieving the items from my car again, I returned to the store. At that point, I overheard Kayla discussing my situation with another employee in a clearly negative manner. When I approached, she stated she was no longer open, despite audibly talking about me moments before. Another cashier assisted me, completed the return and repurchase efficiently, and the transaction was resolved. While the situation was ultimately fixed, it required multiple trips to my car, unnecessary confusion, and enduring rude and unprofessional behavior. The issue itself was not the policy or the process--it was the attitude. Talking negatively about a customer within earshot, being dismissive, and making the customer feel like a problem was completely unnecessary, especially during a relatively slow time in the store. I understand policies must be followed, and I was more than willing to do what was needed to resolve the situation. However, courtesy and professionalism should still be the standard. This experience did not reflect that. I hope this feedback is used to improve customer interactions moving forward.

We were in here for 3 hours! Clean, well lit, LOTS of merchandise. The seasonal section was huge. I never even made it to beauty or shoes, but they looked like decent sized areas. This also frees up the store personnel to do the tasks that keep the store running; they aren't permanently assigned to one section. I've been here on slow days and busy days so there can be 3-7 visible employees. If items are ordered online they can be returned in store. The policy has changed regarding returns. They have to be done in a 30-day window, or if the order was placed on a Lane Bryant credit card, it's extended to 45-days. The best time to shop is when the new clothing season starts for a greater selection of merchandise. The second best time is when you need something. If you like something but they don't have it in the size you need, they will see if it's available online or in another location.

This location, smack in a giant outdoor mall here in Columbus, seems to have a bit more selection than many of their satellite stores. Also have more employees working here, simply because they get more foot traffic. My only negative (if u want to call it that) is over the last several years, LB has been offering more upscale garments to their repertoire. Expensive stuff. Too expensive for my tastes. I work a lot with preschool kids, so nice clothing is a no-no I absolutely love their high-waist jeans - perfect for day to day. And the materials used always scream comfy! Bright colored shirts - perfect for mix and matching. I'm always a happy camper when I can hit a sale!

They forget what that does to us folk who actually NEED to find that (ahem) size extra-MEDIUM. This was my first time visiting here and I was more than pleased to find a larger athletic wear section that I had expected, assuming that this store would focus mainly on casual and formal attire. As expected, the clothes are a bit higher in price, but hey, ya gotta pay for that extra fabric, dude. Our salesman was very welcoming and stayed with me throughout the duration of my visit, although I told him that he could tend to anyone he needed to and check back with me. Note to all you shoppers out there: be respectful and don't monopolize the attendant's time while you're still in the consideration stage. He was even kind enough to give me the location of sister stores, if I couldn't find what I needed there. I also find that to be a pleasant surprise, because most times, they will offer to order it for you and keep the commission. He was obviously more concerned with my satisfaction, for which, I am extremely grateful. I will definitely return.

The particular day that I went and found the DXL at Polaris I discovered that the location of the store matters most definitely with inventory numbers and product. I was headed to Men's Wearhouse at Polaris not knowing there was a DXL there oh. I am so glad I went a couple blocks away and found this particular DXL. And the days the pandemic it is difficult, I believe, for businesses to have a legitimate and full staff. I walked into the store and it was packed honestly. I saw one lady working with customers and working and running around but I just thought there were other employees working! However, this lady, Stephanie, was the only employee working this particular day. I was in the store shopping trying things on and enjoying my experience for more than an hour and I will attest that this lady would be the best brand ambassador for DXL ever. The store only got busier over the course of time that I was there--and she never stopped. Stephanie created an impression upon me that now has me connected to the Polaris DXL. Her calming professional Style and ability to help everybody the way she did this day proves to me that she really does know what she's talking about and cares about each and every customer. I'm sure I witnessed all of this even though she is overworked and probably underpaid. The inventory in this store is larger greater than what I consider the inventory to be at the Olentangy Henderson Road store. Perhaps it's totally do two more square footage here at the Polaris store but it's definitely more appreciated Yes, as every retailer there are those specific sales and incentives to get you in the door and to get you to buy one that will encourage you to purchase more but it's still acceptable and encouraged for someone like me that has to spend thousands a year on clothing for play and for professional work. The cleanliness here in the dressing room area and in the area where shoes are found is unbelievably totally organized and cleaned beyond what I ever would have thought. A friend of mine purchased this pretty dress for my daughter in 2 sizes. I kept the size that fit and tried to return the one that was too big. Since I didn't have the receipt, I was simply asking for store credit but unfortunately their policy is you can only get the same item in a size up or down if you don't have a printed or digital receipt.
