Wonderful book store and cafe! Had the most delicious iced tea and can't wait to return on a cold day to enjoy the fireplace.

Go for the great selection and prices on used books especially. Stay for the wonderful coffeeshop, where you can read your new book in a backyard garden. read more

Open the door and you are assaulted by the waft of strong coffee. The back garden is adorbs, the basement room tricked out like Mr. Giles' Magic Shop in Sunnyvale likewise, but if I can walk out of a used bookstore without a book in my hand, something is lacking: more room for MORE BOOKSES, MY PRECIOUS! I want stacks I can get lost in for hours. Very nice if you want to sit with a hot cup of something, and obviously a labor of love, but it's no 84 Charing Cross Road, and it's certainly not Moe's! Someone tell Cindi F that heaven on earth is, in fact, in Berkeley, California at 2476 Telegraph Ave. read more

Haven't seen a more beautiful bookstore! Just beautiful! Garden, coffee shop, fireplace, plenty place to read...truly a book nerd heaven! If you haven't been here, you are missing out! read more

Love that local book store!! Nice and cozy inside.. you are surrounded with books and sweet people!

New and Improved! I have always loved this bookstore, every time I go I get the feeling I'm walking into the home of an old friend. With the recent renovations, it is even better! The decor just makes you smile--check out the seahorse in the window and the apothecary downstairs! The set-up of the new coffee shop really opens up the space and invites you to settle in and sit for a spell. The amazing staff can help you find what you are looking for--or recommend titles you are sure to like (their suggestions really helped with my recent Christmas shopping!). I especially love the children's section, and the playhouse in the garden area is delightful. Definitely worth a trip back if you haven't been here in a while! read more

I think I've found heaven on earth. As a book lover and a coffee addict Old Fox Books and it's coffee shop the Brown Mustache is a place I didn't ever want to leave. I visited on a Monday mid-morning. There were customers and yet I still had my choice of cozy places to sit. Unlike a Starbucks or Barnes and Noble, people were actually reading and even conversing! The drink selection was standard fare. Although I had a London Fog which I've never heard of. It's a tea drink that will cast its spell on you! While sipping my drink I wandered through the small space of the book store. Although the selection is small it's clearly well thought out. It's like 7 or 8 of your favorite people were asked to stock the shelves with their top picks of their favorite reads. I loved not being overwhelmed by choices or having to swim through book clutter of titles that compete with each other! This store is a beautiful space with a lovely intention. For those of us who appreciate the simple pleasures of all things beautiful and softly quiet, like books and a hot tea on a spring-like day, this is a place not to pass by. read more

This is my favorite place in Annapolis! Such a charming place with a beautiful garden in back. I think the owner has read just about every book ever written and she's great as making recommendations. Highly recommend! read more

This is, hands down, my favorite spot in Annapolis to hang out when I need to study or just relax with a book or people watch. They have the best atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and amazing drinks/food. I could live off the London Fogs (Starbucks who?). I can't say enough good things about this establishment and their staff. read more

I wish you can open a branch in San Diego. I couldn't stay longer because I have to leave! Beautiful place to chill, read and sip a cuppa coffee. Love this place read more

Great coffee from a super friendly batista is even better being sipped in one of the cutest gardens I've seen in a long time! Awesome selection of used books in the bookstore, and especially like the Harry Potter love throughout the store. Overall really charming and a great small town vibe make this a great place to spend a quiet afternoon! read more

I was so happy to see another bookstore take over our favorite spot where the Annapolis Bookstore used to be. It was also renovated to include a very inviting area to have meetings with peers or work colleagues and a gorgeous new coffee shop! Come to check out the new coffee shop, enjoy a baked good, get lost in the children's book section full of classics and new or just open up your laptop in a place of comfort. It's all here! read more

Awesome spot to meet friends for coffee or tea, shop for great books and cards, and hang out. Great atmosphere... I love bookstores - and coffee shops - and this is hands down the best of downtown! read more

This is by far the coolest bookstore/coffee shop I've ever been to. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the coffee and pastries are delicious, and the staff are wonderful. This is a perfect place to curl up on one of their many sofas and chairs and read a new book with a cup of coffee. This has become my new favorite rainy day haunt. Don't plan on coming here unless you've got several hours because you will not want to leave. read more

This is my new favorite place in the whole world. There's books everywhere, a lovely coffee shop, and a giant fluffy dog wandering about. 10/10 would recommend for book shopping or just a nice place to read and work. read more

What's not to love? The cozy nooks for snuggling up with a new favorite, the helpful suggestions about what my daughter might enjoy, the great coffee, the live music playing, and the beautiful dog combined to make my Saturday afternoon perfect. I will be back as frequently as a 45 mile drive will allow. read more

I have shopped here twice and there were a few changes between visits! It is spacious and roomy now, not cramped and crowded. It is inviting and light, welcoming and hospitable. It smells good in here! Feels like a home away from home and has cozy chairs for relaxing. Found some gems to read and take home. I'll be back for more! read more

Wonderful, quaint, good hundred place with many surprises. A must see... check out the garden in back...

We stopped by during a walking tour of Annapolis. Very interesting store with a lot of interesting books.

Great store! I had such a lovely time exploring the books and found one I had been looking for. The store is so nicely organized and is a lovely space. Love the coffee shop in the back too. read more

Old Fox Books has the best atmosphere in Annapolis and has something for everyone. The children's section and selections are fantastical. There is plenty of classic fiction as well as classics. The place is always buzzing, and the cafe brews the best cup of coffee in town - locally roasted Ceremony coffee. This is truly a community space. A lot of love and attention to detail has gone into making Old Fox feel welcoming and like home. Coffee, conversation and community is exactly what Maryland Avenue needs to draw more foot traffic and more local and independent merchants to the neighborhood. read more
