Our family has been coming here since my kids were still in my belly. When they were little, they looked forward to the teddy bear pancakes, and now they're teenagers ordering omelets and full breakfasts. It's definitely become one of our family's longtime breakfast staples. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is a must one of our family favorites and I've always loved their hot chocolate. This visit we had the Meat & Cheese Omelette, Veggie Omelette, Peg's Buttermilk Hotcakes, Original Aebleskivers, beignet bites and the blueberry-topped cinnamon roll. It's been a while since I've been here and that's a mistake. This visit was outstanding. The meal was high quality and service was spot on. Shawna brought drinks quickly and kept them refilled throughout. As soon as plates were emptied, a hand would swoop in and quietly remove it from the table. The Munich omelette was outstanding as were the crepes I had. All of the ingredients were fresh and high quality. My wife had the light breakfast and really enjoyed it. A large breakfast hall, packed with hungry diners on the Saturday morning when we visited but we were able to get a table for 2 with no wait. I tried the German sausage potato cakes "Frankfurt Style" with a sausage, red onion, sour cream, and sunny side up eggs. These were proper potato pancakes with grated potatoes-- and a side of applesauce to boot. We ordered a cinnamon roll with pecans and caramel for the table and it was warm and delicious. I have been here countless times. The waiters are always helpful and kind. The inside is fun, it is generally clean and fun decorations. The food is hit or miss. I have had terrible food and yummy food here. Avoid the steak fried steak like the plague. Their gravy is desperately undersalted. Their meat goulash is yummy! So are their cinnamon rolls. The staff at this particular location has always been very friendly, the food is made with quality ingredients and the variety of foods they offer are great as well. My brother took us here for brunch yesterday. I love that they create a homey modern atmosphere with the decor. I would take a date, my family, or friends here. We decided to split the blueberry aebleskivers; mom had the Cinnamon roll with the pecan caramel topping; brother the veggie omelet, and I had the Swedish meatballs & eggs with the Austrian berry French toast. Everything was delicious-I liked the aebleskivers best. The meatballs are Waygu beef and they had a muted savory taste with the light gravy sauce. The eggs were done to my liking. Austrian Berry French toast - so it is not your typical kind. The entire breakfast was not drenched in sugar, and you can enjoy the egg and cinnamon taste in it. Fresh strawberries and blueberries accompanied it with a generous dollop of whipped cream. They gave me lingonberry as a side with the savory but I used it to complement the baked goods. Like a very mild cranberry flavor but with its own personality. We loved the strawberry whipped cream that came with the aebleskivers as well as the blueberry sauce. Don't expect the round pancakes balls to be loaded with blueberries. They were yummy carbs with a few in. The cinnamon roll also was not sweet--adding the caramel and candied pecans made it so. This is a nice change from the mall brand we all know and love. My mom loved the pecans. Very satisfying visit to the best brunch spot in town. We love coming here for breakfast -- their crepes are absolutely delicious. It's consistently busy, so if you don't arrive early, expect a short wait to be seated. Filled with sweet cream, perhaps excessively- we had to take some out. Crepe texture was good and chewy. Overall good. Ghoulash: Not bad. Meat was too chopped for our liking, but still good flavor. First time trying Old European and we were glad we did. We were sat right away and overall the service was good. I will say our server seemed like she didn't love her job and just wasn't super welcoming, but she was kind enough and we were accommodated in a timely manner. I ordered an Americano to start. It took a long time to get it, because a girl who was training made it incorrectly the first time and had to redo it (no big deal), but when it did arrive it was pretty watered down and had spilled all over the plate it was on. It really wasn't a great Americano. My daughter got the strawberry waffle and loved it. The strawberries were delicious and she loved the whipped cream on top (of course). My husband got chicken fried steak and eggs with hashbrowns and wheat toast. He said out of all the breakfast places we tried this week this was definitely his favorite! The steak was large, the gravy had great flavor, and the breading wasn't too heavy. I ordered an egg white spinach, bacon, and avocado omelet with easy cheddar with wheat toast and hashbrowns. The omelet was really good. It was PACKED with bacon and not a lot of spinach. It was delicious, but just know if you're trying yo eat light you may want to ask for a little less bacon and a little more spinach . The hashbrowns were really lacking in flavor, but with a little salt and pepper and some hot sauce they were fine. The wheat toast that I got though did not seem like wheat at all. It really looked like white or sourdough. Our favorite thing was that they put a QR code on your receipt that you can scan and then use Apple Pay on your phone to pay your check!
