I got my first tattoo at Old Crow a few months ago in October 2021 and I could not be more happy with the experience!! I found Natasha Tsozik on Instagram and just loved her style and general vibe, so I was excited to book with her. We had a zoom consultation where I explained what I wanted, and she had so many amazing suggestions. She completely got what I wanted, and it was so exciting! The appointment itself was completely relaxing and stress-free. I showed my proof of vaccine and everyone wore masks. It felt very safe. The shop is adorable. I got to sip hot tea while she made my tattoo dreams come true! Natasha was so gentle and kind, I wasn't even nervous! I am just so happy with how it turned out. The tattoo healed beautifully and I'm completely obsessed. I already booked another consultation with Natasha! She's so great!!! read more

I got a big, highly visible piece started at another shop and had such a bad time I couldn't go back to keep working on it. I emailed Old Crow with my sob story and Natasha Tsozik reached out. She was incredibly understanding, affirming and reassuring. She took my existing work from sorta-janky and definitely not done to looking really good and something I'm thrilled to show off. She was meticulous with the intricate line work and all that effort shows. The shop itself is rad - good vibes, lots of cool art to look at, and COVID safe. read more

Overall great experience :) The staff takes a lot of Covid precautions which I appreciate. The salon is beautiful, super clean and open, the artists are super friendly and its a comfortable environment. Tatted by Natasha Tsozik, she was prepared to start when I got there and the finished tat came out fantastic (the pic doesnt do her work justice). She's super light-handed and checks in on you for breaks, fun and easy to work with and I'll definitely be going back for another design. Highly recommend this salon and artist read more

Old Crow Tattoo - Orange blossom branch, black ink by Natasha Tsozik - Tattoo Near Me - Berkeley, California

My sister contacted Old crow for an old coverup and she was referred to Natasha Tsozik. From the moment we had our consultation I knew that Natasha was the one who should do my meaningful cover up. Natasha was extremely understanding of what I wanted and made the process simple. When the day arrived we were met by a compassionate, professional, lovely artist. Since we were there so long we had the pleasure of getting to know Natasha and found out that she had an extremely emotional situation happen the night before. Nevertheless, she never once faltered, and because our tattoos were also from significant emotional moments we had the chance to bond. It was a cathartic experience and one that I am grateful for. If you're looking for a detailed, understanding, amazing artist look no further than Natasha. I will surely be back. read more

Cosmikali was great through the whole tattooing process. From the moment I sent the first email to the time in the studio I couldn't have asked for anything more. The design was exactly what I asked for and Cosmikali made the whole experience so enjoyable. The studio itself is clean and inviting. They make you feel welcomed. read more

Terrific tattoo today from La French Sarah for my 60th birthday. Darling little winged pig for my wrist. She made lots of great suggestions that really refined the design to something much more simple and added shading to make my pig plumper and more 3D. Sarah herself is soft-spoken and listened/responded with curiosity and kindness. Checked in often to make sure I was OK with the design before we added color and gave me all the time I needed to feel comfortable with this permanent decision. read more

Experience matters. Hannah is an expert at what she does, and her experience really is evident in her artistry. I gave her a picture of a great egret in breeding plumage, and asked her to place a few sky objects to honor my late brother who was an astro physicist. I love this tattoo! read more

Two words. Philip. Milic. There's a reason he's consistently recognized as the best artist in the Bay Area. And there's a reason his wait list is over a year long. Ink is perm. You already know that. Now go look up his art online. There's also a couple pix in my Yelp profile. Lotsa places you can choose in the Bay. There's only one Philip Milic. Oh...did I mention that ink is perm? read more

I have gotten tattooed at Old crow multiple times and each time improves my opinion of the shop!!! The artists are so amazing and courteous. I was tattooed by Jeannie Marie and they were so accommodating and really made me feel comfortable throughout. I cannot wait to visit again. 10/10 would 100% recommend Old Crow and Jeannie Marie! read more

Natasha Tsozik at Old Crow Tattoo is amazing! I've had two sessions with Natasha so far, the first was a brilliant coverup on my forearm and the second completed my gorgeous half sleeve. Natasha put me at ease right from the start. At our zoom consultation, she totally got what I was trying to achieve and had great suggestions. Natasha came up with a beautiful floral composition to include the coverup. For our second session, Natasha helped me choose more flowers with Victorian symbolic meaning to finish up my half sleeve. I love it so much! Natasha is a kind, gentle, thoughtful, and brilliant artist. I will absolutely be back for more work with Natasha Tsozik at Old Crow! read more

I had such an amazing experience at Old Crow. I have been there for three tattoos so far and they have all been fantastic. Natasha Tsozik is such a cool artist and I got two of her ocean/underwater flash pieces. They both came out so detailed and the shading is unreal. Natasha was also nice enough to lighten up the shading a little so that it went a little better with the idea I had in mind. Both pieces mesh really well together and I'm hoping down the road to go back and add even more. Being that Covid is still going crazy I felt super safe with all of the protocols they have in place to ensure everyone's health. Even though I've moved, I hope to go back to Old Crow eventually to get more tattoos! I also got a tattoo from Teasha Faye and I had such a blast talking back and forth about food places around the Bay Area. I got am umbreon and all of the recommendations about the design from Teasha were spot on for the idea I had about the piece. Overall couldn't have been happier with all three pieces and couldn't recommend this place enough! read more

I've gotten tattooed twice here and it's been some of the greatest experiences. Makoto and Natasha Tsozik were very collaborative and wonderful to spend time with/chat with during the sessions. My session with Natasha Tsozik was only a few months ago and it was the most gentle tattoo experience I've had to date. Their new space is amazing and really well-lit. It's like being at a spa salon. Had some fun music talks with them too and because of Makoto I've become a fan of DJ Cummerbund lol. Really love the vibe here (super refreshing after many bro-ey shops) and it's my new go-to even though I live in the South Bay. read more

I got my first tattoo from Natasha Tsozik in December and had a great experience. I draw and make art, so I was a little nervous about collaborating on a design with someone that would be on my body, you know, forever! But she put me right at ease. We worked out the basics of the design over email, and she was really welcoming and encouraging about the references I sent, asking for more specifics. Our consultation via Zoom helped more, and then we worked out last-minute design draft stuff in the few days leading up to the tattoo. I thought it might be stressful, but it was just fun. The day of went well too. Natasha sent really clear instructions beforehand, and I had a good idea of what to expect. I knew that if I had another idea that day, she would've altered the design in the shop without it being a big deal. I also liked walking into her space and confirming that I had the right idea about her aesthetic and how it matched what I was seeking. She also has a light hand - someone in the shop told me I was lucky to have Natasha doing a piece on my ribs, a notoriously painful spot, but she was super gentle about it and checked in regularly. Just a great experience and a great tattoo. The lines are impeccable, and I smile every time I look at it. read more

I had an old tattoo covered up by Natasha Tsozik and I couldn't be happier about working with her! We started our work with a 1:1 consultation where she was very open to my vision and suggestions for the cover up. A few months later, I met her IRL at the studio and she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed while figuring out the size of the tattoo and creatively putting the pieces together before actually tattooing. She was so professional and friendly at the same time and I would love to work with her again in the future! read more

I was nervous going to a new tattoo shop. However, Natasha made me feel comfortable right from the start. We talked about the concept of the tattoo via Zoom and she explained how she would accommodate any ideas I had and was transparent about the costs and when she would have the sketches ready. We set a procedure date one month after that first meeting, and emailed back and forth up until the day before the appointment. When I went to the shop in person, it was clear that the artists wanted to be careful about COVID and its variants. There were reminders everywhere of using sanitizer and keeping masks on. I had disclosed in my release form that I had pain anxiety, and Natasha did everything in her power to settle my nerves: she used a quiet machine and let me listen to my music while she worked. Now about the tattoo: I absolutely love it!! There were some things in her initial sketches that I didn't like, but Natasha worked with me to get it perfect. It is a beautiful piece of art and I'm honored to have it on my skin! read more

I got a flash tattoo done here by Caitlin. I couldn't have been happier with the process, and with the end product. Caitlin is by far the nicest, chillest artist I've ever had, and this was on a busy flash day. The price was reasonable for the size and intricacy. The shop is gorgeous and has great, welcoming vibes. I also bought some art from Caitlin! I don't have any immediate plans for more ink, but if I do, I will come here again. And I will watch the flash days, because there are so many talented artists at this shop, I could see doing this again!!! Caitlin, please stay for a very very long time! read more

Hannah Wolf, who owns the shop, is an incredible tattoo artist. I recently completed a 3/4 sleeve with her and it is truly a work of art. The shading/line work of the animals is o u t s t a n d i n g. I am proud to show it off and have this amazing artwork on my body forever. All the shop staff are friendly and kind. There are plenty of snacks available for guests, even vegan ones, for those that need them. The shop itself has great ambiance, artwork, books and is super clean!!! Getting a tattoo done during the Pandemic had me nervous, but with the high standards of cleanliness that Hannah Wolf and the staff of Old Crow have, they all put me right at ease and I felt safe every session. I will most certainly be back into Old Crow for another tattoo and I look forward to it! read more

Found this place on Yelp and after a consultation decided to give it a go. The wait was a little long but tbh it gave me time to save up and really finalize the design. My go to tattoo shop. The atmosphere is always calm and peaceful. Natasha Tsozik has done 4/6 of my tattoos and it's needless to say that I'm a huge fan of her work. She has available tattoo designs on her website to which anyone can choose from. What's special about it is that she does not tattoo a design twice so everyboday has their own unique piece. After paying a $400 deposit, my tattoo appointment had to be rescheduled several times due to COVID-19 shutdowns. The last time I tried to reschedule the date, Hannah told me she was so busy she couldn't book me until sometime in 2022, my original appointment was for April of 2020. She then offered to return my deposit, minus fees. I was surprised, but given the delay, I agreed to do that. Hannah, then, despite suggesting this, refused to refund my money saying all deposits were non-refundable. I then tried to once again reschedule my appointment but Hannah refused to respond or give me any date options despite multiple requests on my end. I've worked with tattoo artists all over the country and never experienced such a lack of professionalism. Do not book a tattoo with this scammer. read more

Returned to see Kevin and add a couple more small, very personal tattoos. Great guy, very easy to talk too and had no issues doing my small art. Wow -- not even sure where to start! I came to see Hannah as my 3rd consult for a sleeve (1st real piece -- other than a random turtle I have on my ankle) I was getting ready to start. From the initial consult, I knew Hannah was my girl. The previous artists that I'd met with had me in and out in less than ten minutes, and while they were both talented people -- I felt rushed and they didn't seem all too interested in understand what I was going for. Hannah had blocked out an entire hour for us to talk about my piece and given that this was my first real ink (and was going to be visible since we started on my forearm) -- I felt very much at ease with someone really wanting to take the time to grasp the vision, detail, and type of tattoo I was going for. Hannah sent me away with some homework and we booked my first (all day) session just a few weeks out. I arrived on a Tuesday and was definitely a little anxious/nervous -- but Hannah quickly had me at ease once she got started. Simply put -- Hannah is a badass human being and bleeds dedication and passion to the art of tattoo. I cannot respect her enough for her grind and drive to be the best at what she does, and her work speaks for itself. Six hours of a needle jamming into my skin thousands of times per minute later and my first session was done. The time flew by and Hannah was great at giving me breaks when I needed a few minutes. Two weeks later I was back for my second session and we finished up in a little over 4 hours. I thought her work was amazing after my first session, but once we added the map, leaves, and a few more details to the piece -- I was flat out blown away by how things came together. I'm not even near fully healed yet and cannot stop getting complements and questions about my tattoo and who was behind the work. I feel so lucky and grateful to have found such a badass artist -- and without a doubt Hannah will 100% be doing the rest of my work. I'm not a fan of traditional tattoo (though I appreciate it) and really love the black and grey, highly detailed, and realistic look -- which Hannah absolutely nails. Also, five stars for Old Crow as the shop is really put together well. The gallery in front is awesome featuring all different types of art, and everyone I interacted with from my initial booking, consult, and actual sessions were friendly and professional as could be. I can't wait to continue working on my sleeve -- thanks again, Hannah! read more

Review is for Alan Chen. Went in about a month ago for the initial consultation and left feeling pretty good about how we were both on the same page. The appointment was today so I got there and was super excited to get a piece that I've been thinking a long time about! Alan gets in and basically tells me that he wasn't really vibing with my idea and asked if I had any other backups instead... I appreciate and respect his honesty in telling me this because I think it's super important that an artist feel inspired by their commission requests. It's just like bro...You definitely could have called me at any point within the past month BEFORE I took off work for the day and came all the way to Oakland to have the pleasure of not getting tattooed (sarcasm). Just felt like my brief experience with Old Crow/Alan was handled a little poorly and unprofessionally. Ended up requesting my deposit back and tbh not sure if I would go back, feel like this has just left a bad taste in my mouth... read more

This is a review for Natasha Tsozik. I've been working on an upper arm piece for some years now and it can be difficult to find an artist who is willing to revise/expand on an existing piece that isn't entirely their own work. Natasha was open to it and even embraced it as a fun challenge. During our initial consultation she listened attentively to what I wanted, asked questions, and then came up with some beautiful sketches that perfectly matched the aesthetic I was going for. The day of the session everything she did was super intentional, nothing felt rushed or unexpected. The vibe was calm, respectful, and communicative the whole way through. I could not be happier with the result! The new elements that Natasha added are gorgeous and her line work is truly incredible. It is so precise and detailed. I will definitely be going back to Natasha as I fill out the rest of my arm into a sleeve! read more

Absolutely amazing experience. I booked my first tattoo with Natasha, she was very helpful with adjusting the design before we started and made my first experience really pleasant. I had been thinking about what I wanted as my first tattoo for a while and decided on a stained glass California poppy design with symbolism for my family/friends incorporated into it. Old Crow is close to my house so I walked in to see if this was something they could take on. It couldn't have been a better experience. Why this place is the shiz broken down: The Spot: - Really friend front desk staff, incredibly sweet and an overall great vibe. - Interior and tattoo room is beautiful. It's half art gallery/half tattoo shop, lots to look at. - Veggie spot - can't bring meat in to eat, love it. - Supporter of local and national progressive politics - had NODAPL support going on. - The back room where I got it done is big, airy and bright. Really nice feeling. The Artist: - My tattoo artist was Sean Gillespie. He listened to exactly what I wanted and was able to produce a couple of different sketches with border/no border for me to compare and contrast. - Sean has an eye for color and size. I've gotten a ton of compliments on my colored tattoo from people who don't really like colored tattoos. - Clean/Professional - took his time to set up, everything was completely sterile, no sketch vibes whatsoever. - Sent me on my merry way with easy to follow instructions on how to care for my tat. The Tattoo: - AMAZING. Matches my skin tone perfectly, colors reflect the area I grew up in (NorCal) and is big enough that it makes a statement but no so in your face that it's overwhelming. I would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a tattoo. It was a great experience and I'm incredibly happy with the end product. read more
