I found Ally on Instagram and booked an appointment for a coverup tattoo about a month in advance. I sent her a picture of my original tattoo and the reference I had drawn to be the coverup. Days leading up to it, I was still very worried because I hadn't seen her sketch yet. The day beforehand, she sent me her sketch and I adjusted it to my liking. The next day was my appointment and I had to call her since the building was kind of hard to find. The studio was very clean and professional. I had never had a professional studio tattoo prior to this visit and I was a little worried about the pain especially because of the stipple shading. Ally had a super light hand and the outline was completely fine, and after the pain spray it was basically numb. Another concern was the healing process and I did notice little black flakes coming off and I was a little worried. After a couple weeks, fully healed, the tattoo looks as good as it was when it was freshly done. The session took less than two hours and I think the price was reasonable. This review is for a tattoo done by Faye who works out of Magnetic Arts! I found Faye through Instagram because she had Pokemon flash pieces and I had been wanting one of Psyduck for awhile. I reached out with this idea and heard back within a day. I really liked how excited Faye was to do this piece and she had a sketch ready for me a couple days before my appointment. Parking is a little tricky at Magnetic Arts but there was plenty of information on their site to prepare me. I was lucky enough to get free (!) parking right across the street so it wasn't a problem. We discussed placement for a little bit and Faye was open to different sizes and placements, borders, etc. So she was really accommodating to seeing where I'd like my tattoo best. The tattoo itself was so quick and so well done! With the second skin bandage, I had no issues with healing. I also don't require touch ups but I know Faye would squeeze me in if needed. I have a few smaller "on a whim" tattoos but when I decided I wanted to get a partial sleeve done I knew I would have to work to find the right artist. I asked friends, Googled, asked in Facebook groups, searched Pinterest and Instagram high and low before finding my artist, Ella. I scheduled a consult with her and was impressed the moment I walked though the door. The space is bright, artistic and welcoming. It felt more like an art gallery than any tattoo parlor I've ever been to. I loved it! I hit it off with Ella right away. She is INCREDIBLY talented and managed to draw me up something I loved even more than the idea I had in mind. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I knew right then I had found my artist and trusted her so completely I gave her virtually free reign on my piece. My first session (2 more to go!) went smoothly! Ella, just as before, was friendly and made sure I was comfortable the entire 3 hours I was there. Asking about the temperature, offering breaks etc... The piece is amazing and speaks for itself. Magnetic Arts is one of those places you walk into and immediately feel like home. For being a sterile place of work, the ambiance is so incredibly warm and relaxing. The past three tattoos I've gotten have all been from artists at this shop (and I hope to collect one from each artist here over time). They each have a unique style and vision and this shop helps to offer people a broad choice of styles when thinking about what design to get tattooed. The overall feeling of this shop is friendly with a welcoming vibe (which I find isn't the case at a lot of other shops I've been tattooed at). I've currently been tattooed by Janine and Mia, and both of their work have quickly become favorites! They both have really sweet personalities with the added bonus of having a light touch (which, being the baby I am, I appreciate a lot). I really love this place! Mia has been a gem to work with. The artists I've encountered when I've visited are kind and easy to communicate with. It's decorated beautifully. It's spacious, the lighting is gorgeous. The tattoo tables are white, clean and pristine. The music they play tends to be upbeat but also relaxing. I had such an amazing experience at Magnetic Arts with Mia Mor! She was so patient and helpful for all parts of the process, from helping me come up with the design, to preparation, and then during the actual session. My piece was an extremely large piece on my upper arm and it took a little over 3 hours, but the session was so easy and stressless and I could not be happier with the results! Magnetic Arts Tattoo Parlor is the ideal place for a tattoo whether you're a first timer or well experienced. I chose Mia Mor to tattoo my middle name in Chinese on my left-outer calf. In short, she did a wonderful job and in a timely manner. For a longer version: I had an idea of what I wanted for my tattoo and Mia (my artist) was so flexible in making the tattoo what I wanted and did not get offended even though I didn't like the first few sketches. I walked into Magnetic Arts to get a tattoo on my outer left calf. The tattoo was an all black ink text of my middle name in Chinese, 5" x 1". I chose Mia because of her portfolio on the Magnetic Arts Website. Mia specializes in black line tattoos so I knew it'd be a perfect match. I brought two friends and she made the space feel at home for me and them as well which I really appreciated since they were there for moral support. Since MA is by appointment only, Mia was the only one there and somehow it created a more comforting feel. The studio is straight out of a PB Teen magazine or a Tumblr post. It's so gorgeous and welcoming. It's a fresh feeling area that makes anyone who steps in feel calm which is good since I was about to experience much pain. Mia asked if I wanted any specific music, drink (water or tea), and if my friends wanted a seat by me. All these questions made me really feel comforted. As a client you want to be treated with respect and care; that's exactly what Mia did right out the gate. She set out the station and began tattooing, the legs are a very muscular part of the body so it hurt a lot but she had a numbing spray which was a combination of oils that soothed my leg so I couldn't really feel anything and it felt like magic! She finished the tattoo super fast, I have had other tattoos and they took longer and she finished this quick, but with precision. All in all, I love my tattoo and I would come back for sure. read more

I've been a client of Analy Nakat through three different studios she's worked out of and I must say that Magnetic Arts is my favorite yet! For me the location itself is premium not to mention the atmosphere and soothing environment that this new studio has. Not to be gender biased, but I've had a lot of work done by men with deep heavy thick lines, many areas even scarred. Since working with Analy, and watching the work of other females she's worked side-by-side with, I must say that there's something to be said for a more light and gentle touch with the needle that the female hand seems to do more naturally. Analy herself also has quite the talent for creating pieces that are sharp yet flowing and the ability to make art that somehow blends a raw primal energy with a feminine eccentricity and sensuality. I have definitely found my preferred ink therapist and am truly addicted to the experience! read more
