First thing that hits you is that amazing baked goods smell. That is quickly followed by a pleasant greeting from the owners. Definitely taking pride in their place. They gave good recommendations. I went with the Americano that featured the Guatemalan coffee beans and added a cookie and a sweet roll. The coffee was excellent, smooth and flavorful. Enjoyed both baked goods for dessert later in the evening, very fresh and not overly sweet. Will certainly return to Ixchel!

Breakfast is served until 11:30 and they have a a few egg dishes, breakfast sandwiches and French toast. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and liked the egg, potatoes (mixture of white and sweet, which was nice), and toast except the toast was hard pieces of baguette ($10). The omelette with potatoes was a pretty plate and good even though the cheese was initially forgotten.
