So many cute things inside!
Sarah S.

I've been to Old Chicago Red Hots a couple of times now and only had good experiences! The staff is always so friendly and great which makes for a really positive overall visit. They have some seats inside if you'd like to chill and eat but I've always just carried out. For true Chicago eats, wayyyyy out from the city, they do a great job of capturing the essence of our great city's sausages. I usually do the two hot dog combo (in the necessary poppy seed buns) which comes with fries and a drink. Love everything about it! We've also had the philly cheesesteak combo's which also did not disappoint. I have to try their burger next! Bonus points to them for the awesome bobblehead collection and bad ass rap memorabilia. My kind of people!

Easy to miss this spot in the strip mall next to Starbucks, but glad I stopped in! Pretty good size menu, lots of options, classics. I will be back that's the test. Philly cheesesteak with the works on point. The meat is thicker cut compared to the real deal, but the flavor is perfect and tender. I'm already craving another one. Seasoned coated fries, better than most spots for sure. Chicago Dog no complaints there. I'd like to try other things on the menu but the Philly with the works will be a staple, plus not too many spots in the area even offering Philly so this will be on my go to local spots. P.S. wifey is all about the pizza puffs, usually gets them from Guys Grille in Wauconda, but Here you get the puff minus 1lb of grease.

Chicago Hot Dog

This was my very first introduction to a Chicago Style hotdog and I have to say it was amazing. Great tasting food and the service was great.

Literally best hot dog I ever had. Get your Chicago dog here

Best hot dog ever! We traveled to Chicago from hawaii and of course we were set to find the best Chicago dog! We'll look no further we found it for you! Their hot dog was delicious! And omg the gyros were amazing too but after you have the Chicago dog your gonna want more! And don't for the side cheese sauce for your fries!

New restaurant in Hainesville that I would give a 3.5 but Yelp doesn't offer that. A 3.0 would be too low. The service staff was quick and friendly, the Italian Beef was delicious and the fries were above average. I will definitely come bake to try different foods.

Very good food. I was surprised of the fine quality. Hamburges are fresh and the Chicago hot dogs are generous. Will return again.

Solid hot dogs and fries and onion rings. Gyros is tender but had a flavor of a spice I was not accustomed too from original Greek gyros.

Going to Dogs n Suds is a classic park and eat experience everyone should have if they're in the area. This location is newly built/renovated after a fire a year or two ago, but it's always been a great location. The staff is always friendly. They come straight out to your car, no buttons to press. And they come and check on you periodically to see if you need anything else.

My husband went there a few weeks ago and placed a $50 plus order brought it home and everything was burnt, due to the new charbroiled cooker. I got ahold of them and was told I would get a credit for the order I went to collect a new order and they wanted to give me a $10 credit? What? Then it went up to $20! So I took it from the manager got only 4 burgers nothing else was replaced in my order when my order came out and the young lady said, that'll be $8 and change more! What! Needless to say we won't be going back to that location. There's one in Ingleside not that much further. It's a shame that customer service isn't respectable and the customer gets treated like they're nothing. The managers are completely disrespectful and rude. We were once loyal customers for many years to that location but will be no more. It's all about quantity not quality any longer. Thank you Dog N' Suds for the many years of good treatment, good food up until now. I know that my words won't make a difference in this matter but in case you're thinking of going there, don't expect much courtesy.

When they put the sign up I was so intrigued as to what B&B would be. Much to my delight it was Greek American style! I grew up eating along this specific fault line of American favorites and Greek classics, so I was psyched to see something like that around here. As soon as I saw they were open I had to stop in. They nailed it here. The clean diner concept was friendly and comfortable. The family run business was putting out, for my money, the best gyros anywhere around! Spinach Pie, another classic and another must have. I got one almost every visit. They did a great job with American stuff, and even a few Mexican style dishes too! I'd get the taco meal a lot actually, it was a great hearty meal. The Greek chicken plates and the lemon chicken soup were some of the best here, these guys knew their way around a chicken! There's plenty more I could say, it's been about 3 years after all... this is a big loss on the community. Nothing hits quite like this spot, it had become a go-to for me. Can't decided what to eat today? Go to B&B. Multiple people in the group want different types of food? Go to B&B. Craving something light? Go to B&B. Need a hearty dinner? Go to B&B. Well, now I can't go to B&B anymore. The area is less inviting without them, it's left a massive hole here that likely won't be filled. Trying to buck up... I'm wishing the family all the best moving forward! They are still running their Facebook page for the business, with a post saying they will have more information soon. Whatever they plan, I hope to be eating their food somewhere not to far from here in the near future. Goodbye for now, hopefully not sayonara. And thanks for the good times!

A Great New Addition to Gurnee--Beef, Shakes, and Rainbow Ice Cream!…read moreI dropped by the brand-new Buona Beef in Gurnee to grab dinner to go! It's located on the west side of town, safely away from the craziest of the mall traffic. Just a quick heads-up on navigation: if you're heading east, finding the entrance can be a little tricky. You have to turn left at N. Hutchins Road and spot the side road tucked behind the tall swamp grass! Inside, the restaurant is beautifully clean. It took about 10 minutes to prep my order, which included two Italian beef sandwiches, a side of potato salad, a Caesar salad (both prepackaged), and an order of their arancini beef bites. You get three to an order, and while they taste good, they completely fall apart the second you take a bite, so be careful! I actually watched a video on their history and learned they use a commissary kitchen to ensure the flavor stays consistent across all locations, which makes sense. It's a solid, reliable local chain and a really nice alternative to the usual burger or chicken franchises. As a massive bonus, there is a Rainbow Cone ice cream parlor right inside the building! Our office actually had their truck visit us before, so we already knew how good it is. I couldn't resist bringing home a gallon of the rainbow ice cream, a slice of cake, and the four sugar cones they pack up for you to scoop at home. I even signed up for their rewards program. With a huge menu that covers everything from beef and burgers to fresh salads, it's a great, handy new spot to have in the area! BTW, service was a little slow. Maybe they are still training?

She gave us a number and it didn't take long before it all arrived at our table. The beef was tender and slightly spicy. Not too hot, though. I had green peppers and they came in seasoned chunks which made it all very easy to handle and quite delicious. Onion rings and crinkle French fries were crunchy. As a former Chicagoan I was quite pleased. And a shout out for Lina, could be Lena. I was watching her take orders, delivered others outside, fixed the tables and chairs. She was doing it all. A terrific person to have on staff.
