The Old Cherokee Trading Post is an example of a traditional "Country Store" from years gone by. It offers everything from groceries to hardware, frozen foods to soft drinks, ammunition to bags of corn for deer feeders and jewelry to knives. The amount and variety of goods that are contained within the modestly sized structure never ceases to amaze. All day and every day there is an endless stream of customers coming and going, buying gas and stocking the pantry. Almost every one is known on a first name basis by the clerks who work there as well as by the owners Glenn and Wanda who are also often on the premises. In additon to all the goods offered, there is a constant exchange of news and gossip about what is going on in the local community. If there was a "cracker barrel" and a "pot belly stove" then this store would be right at home in the early 1900's. This place is worth a visit. read more
