Love this place. The smoothies are sooooo delicious and all their breads and pastries are amazing too! Staff is always welcoming and kind.

They are not currently serving tacos/quesadillas. Smoothie was tasty though and people were very friendly.

El Natural is an Interesting little place. Wonderful Mexican Bakery & Deli. Yummy Smoothies.....Fruit / Vegetables / All Kinds of Produce.....Farm Fresh Yard Eggs......Dried Beans....Chilies...Texas Honey... Hot Sauces....Herbs / Spices....Nuts / Jordan Almonds, etc. We always stop here to pick up minnows from the bait shop next door. El Natural is Very Clean & Colorful Inside. My husband and I drove through Palestine yesterday and we were SO hungry. We drove up and down the main highway and nothing struck our appeal (...Jack-in-the-Box....Subway....Allsups.....ew!). And, it was Sunday, so pretty much everything was closed. By sheer luck we drove by this bright green little building advertizing vegetarian deli/healthfood/bait shop! (the bait shop is next door, OK). We went in and found a delightful panaderia (mexian bakery)/health foods/south& central american foods/deli/produce stand/herb bar/smoothie&juice bar. We got some sassafrass root from the herb bar (this stuff is hard to find - and we've been wanting to try our hand at making root beer) and ordered the vegetarian tacos and quesadillas from the deli, and topped it off with some really great gingerbread cookies from the panaderia. The hot sauce that came with the food was SO hot; but really good. I felt like I had taken a vacation to Mexico - only there was vegetarian food! They had all sorts of nuts, beans, dried fruit, etc. in a bulk section in the front of the store. I could have gotten a lot from it, but restrained mysellf. I highly recommend this little shop if you're ever driving through (or live in) Palestine. If you aren't spanish-speaking, don't let this intimidate you - the matron of the store was very nice and spoke with us in English - though this seems like the kind of place that would be good for practicing your spanish. read more

Love this local, family-owned treasure! Part health food store, part restaurant, part Mexican bakery, all good. Whether you're veggie or not, the food is great, and the pastries definitely breakfast-worthy. My favorites are the veggie tacos, pineapple-kiwi smoothie (not too sweet), tortillas without preservatives, and the whole-grain pastries. They also make an incredibly good veggie ceviche, but you kinda have to special order it. The owners are very nice, especially once they get to know you. Bulk bin items include grains, dried fruit, and a variety of tvp options. Wait time on the prepared food can be a tad slow, do don't go if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, highly recommended. Oh, and peruano beans from the bulk area ... excellent flavor! read more

This place is amazing. Great veggan food, smoothies, and mexican sweet bread. Everything is delicious and they will make what you want as well. I was in town for 2 weeks, they were nice enough to prepare my breakfast and lunches. They are sweethearts very friendly staff. Highly recommended !!!! read more

This place is amazing So I'm in Palestine at the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility, and am vegan, which means I have been scraping by on bread/humus and what not. I finally went and tried this place, and was blown away. It is a weird little Mexican market type of thing with no real menu, but they have great smoothies and vegan tacos (with fake meat and soy cheese, and amazing salsa). So if your veggie and in Palestine just go here, order tacos and a smooth, then if you like me, order more tacos. (not that they are not filling, but I was really in need of good vegan food!). read more

They were out of veggie tacos and the smoothies were made from a mix. But the health food and produce selection was very good. The Mexican bakery had some fun cookies and treats too. This might not seem like much in a larger city, but it is a breath of fresh air in Palestine. read more

It is a very small vegetarian market but very good. I live here in Palestine and it is the only place I can go to get soy cheese (boy does the cheese taste really good). I would recommend this place to anyone who is a vegetarian. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! It is amazing! We saw it on our way to our Canyon Lake house, and now will never go through Texas without stopping. I am a lifetime vegetarian, so especially appreciate the food, but even if I wasn't, I would love the food. Go there, get to know the people, you'll love everything about them. They have the best freshly made smoothies. My favorite is the piña colada with banana. Of course you can choose how you want it. They are really friendly and a great place for a healthy snack or meal. I would highly recommend to anyone. read more
