Looks can absolutely be deceiving! The first clue that this was no ordinary shop was the amount of regulars that were there for their favorite donuts. I ordered a glaze twist and maple donut for myself. 2 regular glaze donuts for my stepson, a kolache and a chocolate donut for husband. The service was friendly and fast! We got our donuts and headed to the car. I started with the glaze twist. When I tell you it was one of the best donuts I've ever had! It was one of the best donuts I've ever had! I see some reviews saying he thinks he's better than others. Well number one, he is. But also, the man is from Italy. Maybe y'all just don't know how to handle an Italian personality. He's not rude. I think my favorite thing about this place though, is my wife and I never receive any side ways or ugly looks from any of the staff. It's somewhere we can go to enjoy a meal and each other's company that's outside of our home. So yeah, I'm going to rate Giovanni's as high as possible. The vibe is great, the decor is old school (which I adore), Mr. Giovanni always checks on his customers in terms of making sure they're doing ok and food quality, it's quiet most of the time, and it's safe.
