To patronize that store, said backpack must first be surrendered. Black customers were not asked to surrender their property to shop at Ghetto Bros, as the store was called. Nor were women required to give up their purses or tote bags to shop there. I am disabled, do not drive, do ride a bicycle and use a backpack for my shopping needs. The former manager of BB's at the S. Chestnut location never had a problem with my wearing my backpack in the store. Before 2021, neither did any manger at the former N. Timberland location. Today, Darren Colvin the current manager of the S. Chestnut location informed me that location is now adopting this selective policy. Upon being asked if the store would be responsible if someone stole my backpack or items from in while in the stores possession, Mr. Colvin declined to answer. Brookshires Bros has now lost a 22 year customer. I'll never shop at Brookshires Bros again. I'll also be asking all of my friends, neighbors, and family to boycott Brookshires Bros.

We drink alcohol-removed wine and we were glad that the wine shop was willing to order alcohol-removed wine for us since they do not stock it. Each month we order cases of wine from Jill in the wine shop. When we picked it up our wine each month, Jill would have to get a manager to approve the 15% case discount since the wine we ordered was not in the system. After doing this for three months, Jill informed me that Corporate Headquarters had decided that alcohol-free wine was a grocery item and was not eligible for the wine case discount. This decision stuck me as odd since the product is wine, it is produced and sold by Sutter home and although it is alcohol-free, is age-restricted for purchase. I feel that this arbitrary decision by Corporate staff is discriminatory to those of us who choose to consume wine without alcohol by only giving a discount to wine with alcoholic content. The decision seems quite contrary to the stated corporate goal of providing for the needs of the customer and the community.

Some things I agree with, but other product increases I consider "Corporate Greed". Anyways most people have a sweet tooth at some point of time in their life. Some more heavier than others. I use to but it faded. However I do enjoy some sweet stuff. The other day I was picking up some licorice (LOL) and noticed a candy I had never scene. It was called "Zebra Bars" . They come in a small bag individually wrapped. And the main element is "Peanut Butter". They say the Bars are their most natural product with the fewest ingredients. Homemade peanut butter from fresh roasted peanuts, sugar for sweetness, and a dash of salt for savory goodness. I bought a bag for $1.25 at a discount store. When I bought them I thought they would be hard candy like many other kinds. No, they were much softer and easier on your teeth. I gave them a 4 they could have put a bit more peanut butter in them. But they were good and I suggest if you like Peanut Butter, buy a bag.
