Burnt Ends (1 lb.)
Morgan W.

Bonus star for customer service. This is a Mom and pop bbq spot. Came in on Saturday - I drove past the place the first time and had to turn around to find it again. No frills BbQ spot. I ordered the Turkey and the burnt end brisket and a side of Mac and cheese. Pinto beans have bacon in them so I didn't order those. Quick service. I was able to pay with Apple Pay. Took my food to- go. They wrapped my meats in foil. Owners son rung me up. The place is a little eclectic with a jukebox CD player. Mac and cheese was creamy. I added some seasoning when I got home though. Turkey nice and moist. Burnt ends were really good actually although a few pieces were a little hard.

Menu posted at the drive thru!!

We came out to a nursery in the area and the bf decided he wanted to find a good place to eat! Old Bucs came up and the reviews were pretty fabulous for a bbq joint out in the middle of nowhere, so we decided to give it a try. Super surprised they had a drive thru!!! Bbq that you can get without getting out of your vehicle?! Yes please!! Welp, for this reason there wasn't any photos of the actual bbq :) But if you want to take my word for it, it was cheaper than in the city and it was fantastic! Good smoke, tender, amazing flavors!! It was one of those pleasantly surprised moments where the bf looks at you and goes.. Mmm Mmmm Mmmmm... you have to try this! He was a happy camper! We are glad we stopped by!

Delicious surprise after going to the Manvel library! The staff was super nice and the food was delicious! Price was very affordable for the high quality! Small little and lovely place!

We just tried this place out for the first time today and we now realize what all of the hype is about! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner. He was so welcoming and walked us through how to order and what he recommended we get to eat. We had the Brisket, Burnt ends, Turkey, and Macaroni and cheese. It came with bread, pickles, cheddar cheese, onions, sauce, and crackers on the side. Every bite we ate was amazing. My husband an di both said this was the best brisket we've had in a long time. And leave that sauce on the side alone - you don't need it. They have a drive through if you just want to get it and go or the have tables inside and on the patio available. Be sure to get there early because when they sell out, they're out.

Old Bucs is IMO one of the best BBQ spots in the area if not country. I'm from Los Angeles and whenever I'm in town to visit my family this is the first spot we ever go to. The brisket falls apart in your mouth and is full of flavor. The ribs fall clean off the bone and the sausage deathly delicious. The last time I was there they were provided free beer which was a super cool touch.

It's a tasty spot to grab a quick take-out meal. You order from the kiosk on the side or from their app on your phone and they'll text you when your order is ready. I opted for the burnt ends and brisket combo, and I can tell you, it was a pleasant surprise. The burnt ends were the winners on the plate. Each morsel was nicely caramelized on the outside. The smoke flavor was well balanced by a touch of sweetness that wasn't overpowering. And the brisket? Tender, juicy, and packed with that rich, slow-cooked flavor that BBQ lovers crave. The sauce was tangy, sweet, and with a hint of spice that enhanced the meats without overpowering the natural smokiness. The sides were fresh and tasty; I really enjoyed the beans with bits of brisket. My only complaint was that the portions of meat and sides were small and I didn't feel like I got enough bang for my bucks. Hence the reason for 3 stars instead of 4.

I apreciated Honore's having a few games for the kids to keep them busy while the adults eat and chat. Maybe a little corner of the patio should be dedicated for them so theyre not in the middle of other patrons. Just a thought. Come early and order. Happy Hour before it ended literally had the line to order out to patio! There is a drive up pick up location on the east side of the building but how you order ahead? Didn't see anything on the website... I ordered the poboy with catfish and fries. When I picked up the to go plate, I just knew somebody's order had been combined with mine because the bag was heavy! Turns out they give Humongous portions at Honore's. Only thing: Although, I didnt ask for tartar sauce, no ketchup or cocktail sauce with my to go order. Still the poboy wad fresh and filled from end to end with catfish. Fries were hot and fresh in the take out box and not too salty, so I had to enjoy a few before leaving. Most definetly you have to order the coveted boudin balls. I got a small pack of both the original and pepper jack since they were on sale for Happy Hour. They didn't disapppoint. They were slightly bigger than a golf ball and the gooey pepper jack cheese was a great compliment to the crunchy exterior. Topped with Remoulade or Ranch and I got pretty full just off Boudin balls. The miss for me is the frozen drinks- especially the frozen Hurricane slushy. Tasted like medicine, but about an hour later I did feel a little kick from the drink. My friend agreed but tried the blue flavor and stated it was better than the hurricane. We enjoyed our little meet up at Honore's so much, we lost track of time. Four hours of girl chat and good food happens that way. Thanks Honore's for making our evening!

All you can eat normally throws me off completely, I just don't find good experiences with all you can eat places, but this one was worth the stop! We had the all you can eat bbq and let Annie kind of guide us through the menu. She even helped us cook everything to make sure we didn't mess anything up The pork belly was delicious & the garlic shrimp was a hit! I'm not a big fan of chicken but the spicy garlic chicken was pretty delicious. We also had the edamame and gyoza which was a good starter. The place doesn't look like a cheap all you can eat, had great lighting and it was very clean. They even had a salad bar where you could put together your own dipping sauces which was a really cool touch. All in all, 5 stars especially for the great service!!!

I honestly wish I had taken a picture because it was really cute. When you walk in you order up front depending on whether you want BBQ, sushi, or both. My husband and I went with the all you can eat BBQ because... obviously. They have a little "salad bar" area with sauces and a few sides, but the BBQ meal also comes with several side options that are included. We ordered a bunch of different meats. Some were marinated and some were just plain cuts of meat, all of which you cook yourself. We ended up putting their Jeju sauce on pretty much everything because it was so good. It's kind of like a tangy BBQ sauce but also not exactly BBQ. I can't really explain it, I just know we kept going back for more of it. We also tried a couple drinks. I had the white peach sangria and a lemon drop and both were really good. My husband had a Long Island and a blue margarita. The Long Island didn't taste like a traditional Long Island to us, but it was still good. The blue margarita was really good too, just not your typical margarita. The server was nice and attentive. They also have a little robot that delivers the sushi. Overall it was a really good experience and we will definitely be back.
