They say walk in welcome but any time I am there they are anything but welcoming. They ask if you have an appointment but do not answer the phone to make them and they do not return messages when you leave one. I went in almost 4 hours before closing, felt they looked me up and down (i was I in work clothes) and they decided there was nothing apppplpvaliable through the end of the day. Let's start with a positive. They've remodeled since I was last in, and it looks great. Nice and clean inside, and they use liners in the sinks for pedicures wich I appreciate. But this was the worst, most painful pedicure I've ever had. The woman was Soo rough. She was rushing through like it was a race. I was the only one getting a pedicure so why the rush? I had to ask her to be more gentle twice. She cut four of my toes when she was trimming the cuticles! This was not a relaxing or good experience. I've been here before and had great service. Super unimpressed. Called in advance asking if they did did gel nails and if they had time to do a full set for me. They said yes, I went and and confirmed that I was getting a gel set of nails, she said yes. Sat down and they started putting ACRYLIC on my nails like I wouldn't notice. When I asked her why she was doing acrylic instead of gel she blamed me for not clarifying, which I did twice. She then told me they don't do gel nails, so they lied to me in the first place. I decided to just get a regular manicure because I was already there and within 24hours my nail chipped and the polish is peeling off. This place is a joke. Came in first thing in the morning and the lady who did my nails was not friendly. I asked for short square nails and she left my nails looking like blobs. I also wanted a polish change for my toes and she left my toes clumpy and uneven. To top it off, I noticed one of my nails was crooked afterwards and my nail tech started to complain to me and groan that she couldn't fix it anymore and that I SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER it was crooked....sorry didn't know you didn't have eyes to look and tell too!! Finally after waiting like 5 minutes someone Finally asked if we made appointments. We all had mani and pedicure appointments. Staff seemed very tired and overwhelmed and not nice at all. My nails don't look terrible. The shapes aren't the same with both hands, but hey I get it. I had an apt, they started okay timing. The man working there treated me like I was dumb. I showed him one picture for length and shape, and one picture for color. He was so super rude about what I had showed him , telling me it wouldn't work. I said no problem , i won't do an ombré nail (since I have babies and don't want it too long ) I'll just get one color. I asked him if he thought it'd Look silly with it shorter, his reply was "not my Nail, you do what you want" Grr. Oh well. Texted my Husband how the man was treating me like dirt. Convinced my husband waiting a block down not to come handle it ... I'd be fine. Moving on. He glued my Skin under my nail to the top on two separate nails and then RIPPED with his long fingernail it off from each other. As I kept making sounds of pain, He would look at me and roll his eyes. Finally once you could see blood, I said you need to be careful I'm bleeding now. He said ok, and shrugged his shoulders. 60$ full set ombré nail, you're a joke. Won't be back. My friends and I made an appointment here for 4 people. We called and told them we were stuck in traffic and would be there in less then 5 minutes... when we came in they told us they couldn't take our appointment and that we were late (5 minutes late) and that they couldn't help us. After my friend explained that only two of us were doing our nails they kept saying "we have no time" even though there was only 3 customers in there at the time. Nail salon is ok. I've only had 1 person work on me which is Linh (goes by Phoung in Viet as well) as she came from a recommendation from a co-worker. She seems to be the top technician giving directions to the other techs as customers enter. Her work is good, but she can be rushed at times and I've had my nails not filed down evenly all the time which you don't notice until your nails are painted and then you can really notice the unevenness. I've also had issues with them double booking and then canceling my appointment and having to reschedule (I'm pretty sure they are cancelling my appointment to take one of their more familiar, regular customers. This is definitely the vibe I get. Can't be any instance where I book a week in advance and they call literally the day before and tell me I can come in, but not to see who I requested, but someone else can help me. If I want to reschedule for the tech I want then I have to come at a different time.) It's very annoying and they take walk in customers as well so don't expect to start your appointment right on time. Chances are you'll always have to wait an extra 10-15 minutes while they finish up on someone sitting in their chair, even with an appointment. However having an appointment is better than not. If you're a walk in and they are about to start on you and an appointment enters, they will ask you to wait until they can get to you because the appointment is there. ****SideNote**** I'm Vietnamese and they don't know so I completely understand all their conversations. I've seen time and time again where they'll tell each other stuff like "don't work on her yet and tell her she has to wait cause the appointment is here" So make an appointment and save yourself the stress of what's supposed to be a 1/2 hr job that takes 2 hours just cause you didn't have an appointment and needed to wait. Overall it's ok here. If I find a better nail tech I would probably take my business elsewhere. Too much unprofessionalism here, but for now they will do. read more

I've never been to a salon where I had to pay for the shape and a basic length of a nail. A basic set is $25 with gel and shape is 45. Not. Only do they not have it on the board of prices they wait tell they glue the nails on for them to tell you. They are very careless of how they apply the acrylic. And make it very thin without asking. I am very unhappy with my nails due to the fact that I paid so much and they go on what they suggest instead of what you want. read more

Today was my first visit to Olani. My daughter and I arrived close to 11 and were greeted & offered refreshment right away. The shop is very clean and I felt they had a good selection of polishes. Very notable was how clean the air was, there was none of the heavy chemical smell you usually find in nail salons. I am very pleased with my nails and with the beautiful design. The guy who did my nails formed them with great care and attention, they are the thinnest and best shaped nails I've ever had. Pricing was excellent as well. What a difference! There is a brand new owner as of November and the place is night and day different. I was invited to come back and see the salon now that's it under new management. I didn't let them know who I was until the end when I was paying. I wanted to make sure I got the same experience as someone just off the street. Anyway, I went for a deluxe pedi and brow wax. They took their time and made it a great experience. So many salons rush and it just feels like you are one more person getting pushed through. What a refreshing experience to have a restful and truly pleasant experience. The hot rock massage and paraffin treatments were killer - all part of the pedi. Also he spent a lot of time really working on cleaning and trimming my nails just perfectly. The brow wax was also great. I just can't say enough good things. If you went in before and had a less than thrilling experience I really suggest you give them another shot. read more

I had a really poor experience today. My fiancée scheduled me a manicure and pedicure for my birthday today, this was my second time here and the first time was actually really decent. I got to my appointment 15 minutes early and they asked if I had an appointment, I responded noting my earliness. I wanted to have some time to pick a color. They acted as if they couldn't find my appointment then did and proceeded to make me feel like a huge inconvenience. I started scrolling colors and then the woman yelled across the salon that my water was ready for my pedicure rushing me to get over there. I randomly chose a color under pressure. The pedicure was fine although my polish is not even. The manicure was rough as she was constantly frustrated with my hand placement and huffing and puffing pulling my arm this was and that. Again my shellac is not even and there is lots of color on my cuticle, which if I pick off will result in the peeling off quicker. I chose a color which she told me was not a good color, so I had to pick another one. Not super happy about either color choice as she had no time for me or positive input. I also have multiple knicks from her trimming my cuticles. Very disappointed, she was very rude. I tipped 10% and she made sure I knew her disappointment with a scowl. I thought about not tipping at all, but that is not how I roll. Bad service all together. Will not ever be returning. read more

A friend recommended this salon since I've been looking to find a new nail place. I wasn't super impressed. In fact I had to go and get my brand new full set removed at another salon within 24 hours. The application of said full set was not done properly, it actually looked like I needed a fill as soon as I left the salon. I had jagged cuticles and glue underneath my nails on my fingers. The shape was also inconsistent. Also the equipment used needs to come out of an autoclave package not a drawer. In the future I'll stick with my old salon. read more

I have went here various times and only gotten treated nicely once. The owner of Olani nails is extreamly rude and rough. I went today and he was aggressive and cut my hands and made me bleed various times. Along with this, I always said "ow" over 5 times to indicate it hurt and/or burned (while he was doing my nails) and he didn't stop, say something or even look at me and just kept going. It was a very painful and unpleasing experience. Not to mention i did not get what i asked for and i was too shy to say it wasn't right because he already made me feel like a burden, i ended up having to improvise when i got home and touch it up as best as i could. In all, do NOT go if you are going to have the owner do your nails, i'm 90% sure pedicure wise they are fine but as far as hands it's a hit or miss. read more

Literally sitting in my car crying because of how bad they screwed up my eyebrows!!!! I've been getting my brows done for many moons so I have my shape and everything all u have to do is clean them up. This is the thinnest my eyebrows have ever been in my life and I have an engagement today like wth. Let me add that one eyebrow is way shorter then the other and not by a little. I have yet to sample that cause my nails aren't gel or acrylic and it would just come right off but my friends nails always look amazing. This was probably the best nail salon I've been to. I came in to have my acrylics taken off and a shellac manicure and it was only $21! This place is super affordable and my manicurist took the time to file out the acrylics instead of ripping it off or other painful methods that other places have done. They also have $5 off $20 if you check in on Yelp or a $10 for $15 deal that you can purchase. I'll definitely be coming back because it's really close to my apartment and super affordable! read more
