Service: The staff was very friendly and helpful. It makes for a relaxing dine-in experience. Food came out pretty quickly after ordering from the counter. Food: The meats are good, especially the pork ribs. Recommend eating them without sauce because the bbq rub is that good. The thin brisket slices dried out quickly and were not as tender as how I would smoke a brisket. The pulled pork was flavorful, but a little on the dry side, too. The smoked turkey was flavorful, but also dried out quickly. Of all the sides, my favorites were the potato salad and fried okra. Both were fresh and not over seasoned. The sweet tea is delicious. In summary, I highly recommend this Van's Pig Stand and happy they are still smoking meats after all these decades.

We arrived around 8:15 pm (plenty of parking) and ordered a two-meat combo with pulled pork and burnt ends (which we were excited to try), along with a side of potato salad and green beans. There were plenty of tables as they close at 9 pm. A few minutes after placing our order, we were informed that they had run out of burnt ends, which was disappointing. We substituted brisket instead, and although we requested marble brisket, it was extremely dry and overall not enjoyable. Unfortunately, this meal did not meet our expectations. It would be helpful when the kitchen informs cashier when certain meats were sold out so then customers won't be disappointed.

My wife, son and I rolled up and were instantly surprised. The place looked small from the road, but was much bigger inside than we thought. The staff was super kind and engaging. She was personable, very nice, a ready beautiful smile and seemed eager to help us a good dining experience. The rest of our lunch was not anything to write home about. To be fair, we did come in after lunchtime, around 1:30. There were no other customers around, which was pretty expected given the time and it being a weekday. We hadn't eaten that day and had been shopping and doing errands so we worked up quite the appetite and decided to have the dinners opposed to the sandwiches offered. I ordered the pulled pork, not spicy, as I told the lady that my tongue was a sissy when it came to spice. She laughed at that and assured me she would not put any 'spicy' pulled pork on mine. I also ordered the BBQ beans and potato salad. My husband ordered the brisket dinner with fries and BBQ beans. When she brought out the boats of food to us, I thought I may have ordered wrong. The servings of meat were very small, barely enough to make a sandwich with the toast that was served with the 'dinner'. My husband did not fare any better. We were told that these were 'dinner' portions. I truly do not know what we paid $5.00 extra dollars a plate for. The meals with 2 drinks came up a little over $45.00! The BBQ sauce was a bit too vinegary for my taste, my husband agreed. The fries were very good (fries were extra if you ordered them as a side). The potato salad was very good as well. Also there was a pretty big chunk of pork that was spicy to me. I am sure it was an oversight but it took up most of the little bit of meat in the boat. I ate the toast and the potato salad. My husband ate his fries. The BBQ beans, of course, had the same kind of sauce in it that the meat had, again, not to my liking. I have a favorite BBQ place in OKC, S. OKC, Moore and Norman but will keep looking for one in Del city. It was quite a disappointment as we were hungry, had had a great day, up to that moment, and paid $45.00 for fries, potato salad, Coke but we did get a beautiful smile.

Unfortunately, this was the first location--out of at least 15 I've visited--where the service was disappointing. While placing my order, the employee at the window seemed unfamiliar with the menu. He wasn't rude, but he appeared uninterested and gave the impression that it might have been his first day. I ordered two combo meals with drinks, but I only received one drink. When I pointed it out, I was told I had to purchase the second drink separately and ended up paying nearly $5 for a sweet tea that should have been included with the combo. Additionally, the brisket combo I ordered came with a very small portion of fries--it looked like the leftovers from the bottom of the batch. The sandwich itself tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I chose not to raise the issue at the time because I didn't feel confident it would be understood or resolved. I understand this is a fast-food BBQ restaurant, but I still believe every job deserves someone's best effort. This experience was just not up to the standard I've come to expect from this brand. And will probably never go back to this location.
