There was a fishing reel that I wanted and it appeared Kailua store sold the last one so I decided to head out to Kapolei the next day. There was a sales associate named Chels who greeted us as we entered the store and helped us. When she could not find the reel because they were all sold out, she asked Kiana to help us. Kiana told me that they do not have any but will check Kailua. I told Kiana that I was there yesterday and they don't have any. Kiana called Kailua and asked them to do a visual and Kailua found that there were 3. Kiana asked Kailua store to hold one for me to pick up. I went to Kailua and bought 2 reels when I was intending to buy only one. I also bought a folding cot at the Kapolei store. When I picked up my reels at customer service in Kailua, I saw that they had a zippo lighter for sale. My son told me his zippo lighter required a special lighter fluid. The nice women in customer service told me it doesn't really have to be Zippo and I could use Ronson so I bought a can of Ronson and a torch lighter at Customer Service. I am leaving this review because of the excellent customer service at both stores and the great hardworking employees that go out of their way to help you. They are professional, knowledgable, and friendly. Kiana and Chels really made me happy and this review is mainly for them and the customer sevice sales associates in customer service at the Kailua Store.

The prices were competitive with Home Depot, but still a little higher. At the checkout the yard worker was there and he was acting angry about my order. I said "is there a problem with my order?" He responded with anger and said "do I have a frickin choice?" I told him I would load it up myself and he didn't have to worry about it. It was 3:30pm, not 3:55 right before close or something. When I was backing my truck up I could see him angrily ranting to his coworker. When I got out he just said "open the back of your truck...." Choosing to order me around instead of interact with me like a costumer. It took less than 5 minutes for me and the two workers to load the blocks. The unprovoked rudeness has made sure I'll never spend another dollar at Hardware Hawaii. Unless you enjoy being treated badly, spend your money at Home Depot.

Today it was a simple just some acetone as I wanted to wipe off paint and the basic store bought stuff just won't do it and as small as this shop seems to be they do have it all and was very easy to find than the larger ones as it literally took me a minute to find it and a minute to reach to the register without a wait and was on my way faster than taking the needed pics to show off this great Kailua location. If needed staff is very easy to find here but as I knew exactly what I wanted it was okay and parking in the back is spacious with short walks to the automatic doors is just nice to have a quick spot to find exactly what you need without being lost as I finished my project so easily. Since forever I like to do craft and with places like Lowe's it's taken to the next level that I couldn't imagine like my Dremel...as I used to go to my secret spot to find shells I do use them for various project that requires for me to drill holes into them and some craft places do have drills but it's for basic simple items not the hard and sometimes thick shells we have here in Hawai'i. Sign ups open the 1st Saturday of the month for the next month and are usually full within a couple days. What you get: a free kid sized Home Depot apron (just like the workers wear!), a wooden toy to put together, instructions, a commemorative pin, and a little certificate of completion. They have paint and hammers out to paint and put together the craft. We've been coming for over a year and we absolutely love it! We especially love when they have vehicles like planes, construction vehicles, and emergency vehicles! We also love functional toys like piggy banks and trinket holders!
