The staff is very kind and on top of things! They'll make you feel at home. I ordered the Ham and cheese panini- The ham was AMAZING! We couldn't believe it was just ham, the smoke was perfect. Juicy and fresh tomatoes and fresh, dressed greens. I loved the mustard and paprika aioli- great combination, so flavorful and creative. The ciabatta bread was light, fresh and soft! I don't always love ciabatta but I think I've been made a believer. My husband had the Motown Philly. Delicious, huge portion. Tons of flavorful meat, cheese and onions and peppers, with great seasoning and care, and tender steak. The garlic aoili was a great addition to bring it all together. 10/10 some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I took off two stars because there was a time I ordered take-out and they completely forgot the rice noodles that go with the Buddha Satay! It was incredible on how they could have forgot such a major component of the dish - they added toppings to an empty bowl! I should have checked but I was left with a very sad carbless meal - definitely lost 1/2 my meal there. The second star off is for the stingy amount of avocado they give in the Pangoa Rice Bowl - I've ordered this twice on separate occasions and it was the smallest two slivers of avocado - it was a where is Waldo amount of avocado. Besides from those negative instances, it's a change in the typical greasy fast food options out there. For something fresh, you can try out Freshii! Lots of free parking in the lot as well.

With all that being said, the prices at Steve's can be a little costly but I'm sure someone who takes time to look at the menu (unlike me during my first time) will be able to create a big bowl for much cheaper and still leave Steve's with a satisfied belly like I did. The overall ambiance is cute for this small shop. I really like the newspaper wallpaper that incorporates the history of the banh mi. The banh mi itself was delicious. The toppings on top (cilantro, pickled vegetables, etc.) helped to add a nice crunch and helped to balance the whole entire sandwich. It was a good ratio of vegetables to meat to bread.
