We visited Ojai House today and were amazed by all the selection! We left with so many tuning forks, sound bowls and crystals. The employee was very kind and extremely helpful. I received a 20 minute reading as well from the guest Psychic, Tamara and she was absolutely phenomenal. The real deal! This shop is full of so much healing energy and peaceful energy. On top of that, they have very clear moral values and support the right things. Love to see that with a business! Last but not least, the pricing was extremely fair and the employee wrapped everything so carefully for us. Wish we were local to Ojai, because we'd be here every week! My husband and I stopped by Ojai House this past weekend while visiting Ojai, and I'm so glad we did. It's just a couple of blocks off the main strip downtown, super easy to find. The shop has such a calming, welcoming vibe. They carry a really nice selection of crystals, candles, tarot cards, sound bowls, and spiritual art . I feel like everything feels thoughtfully chosen. The woman working there was wonderful . She was friendly and helpful without being pushy, which I really appreciated. I ended up bringing home a gorgeous pink amethyst heart and an amethyst pendulum, and I couldn't be happier with them. Prices felt very reasonable for the quality, too. Stopped in on a whim just to browse and found an awesome selection of crystals! I was surprised to find a big variety of Mexican fire opals at an affordable price and couldn't leave without one. I found a few other stones I have had a hard time finding irl (of note: blue opals, azeztulite, phosphosiderite, angel phantom quartz, lots and lots of lemurian, and some really nice, large specimens). Super cute shop literally across the street from our hotel, which made it a bonus. We stopped in a few little cute places, but this was the only one where we purchased anything. There were so many great things in the shop! Great art, cards, candles, statuary, decorations, books, and a wide variety of crystals. Some looked beautiful but didn't really speak to me. A few did; they are mine now =) The staff was available and helpful, but not pushy. The space is quite small, but the back patio is pretty spacious. We found a lovely hecking chonk of a cat basking in the sun and shared a few moments together. So glad we stopped in. read more

A must stop in Ojai (even if you're not into crystals)! Ojai House is a small shop a couple blocks off the main drag that offers crystals, books, tarot cards, gift-y stuff, readings, and more. It definitely embodies the vibe of Ojai and is a small business I love to support. I always pick up a few pretty crystals while I'm in town, and this time I also discovered their lovely little back porch with a few things to purchase and two darling cats. The key to this cat lady's heart for sure! The staff is friendly but not overly in your business which I like, especially for a small shop. I've never done a reading here and am not super well versed with that kind of stuff, but I think it could be a cool thing to do if you're in town for a little spiritual getaway. I think the prices are average to high, but it is in somewhat of a touristy area so that's to be expected. Add this to your Ojai list! read more

Ojai House is an Ojai staple. It's a very cool little shop that used to be a house, and sells a lot of very cool Ojai-specific things like mugs, key chains, bumper stickers, etc. It's set up in a very neat way, with kid/baby things like picture books and toys in a nursery-style room, bathroom things like all natural soaps in the "bathroom," etc. It's really the perfect place to buy gifts for those out-of-town friends who think (and by think I mean know) that Ojai is the coolest place on the planet. I've gotten bumper stickers, patches, Ojai mugs, and jewelry from there. My favorite find was a silver charm in the shape of an origami crane that said "Peace" on it, and I gave it as a gift to a friend I met on a study abroad program who loved it. They have so many unique things, and artsy things made by locals, that you should definitely stop in and see for yourself. read more

Whenever I visit another city, I always search for metaphysical shops. Meg has an excellent selection of crystals, both in natural and polished forms. She had books, gifts, jewelry, and decorations to boot. Although I only spent around 15 minutes in the store, I seriously could have spent all day there! What caught my fancy? A handmade black obsidian blade with natural wood handle, intended for cutting energetic cords. As I was checking out, a sweet lady who I assume to be Meg asked if I knew how to use the knife. This was such a wonderful little shop when my partner and I visited most recently. Wonderful people, beautiful stones & flags, pup friendly porch, stunning singing bowls, and educated metaphysical healers. Had a reading done by such a wonderful gentleman: talked about the arts, a huge cross country move that we were in the midst of, and my late father. Overall, I felt at ease and home in such a wonderful space. Stayed for a couple hours perusing the merchandise. My absolute favorite purchase: my "Love Essential Oil" spray. I really wish I had purchased a larger bottle OR their website was a little more functional so I can purchase it more readily! Pretty disappointed. I went to another shop first which had very good energy and they said this place was open. We walked a few blocks and when we came in the negative energy just hit like a heat wave. There was an orgone artist there that kept talking about his psychiatric meds the doctor took him off of this week. I noticed the same exact pendulums as the previous store, but all were 3x as much exactly. The same stones I purchased at the other store were half the price. There was a lot of kitchy items in there and a meditation group out back. Wasn't impressed at all. Thought this was supposed to be Ojai. Reminded me of the kid magic shop with rocks and tricks in Myrtle Beach. They didn't have any of the stones I asked for and my sister who has no ability to feel energies asked me if that place felt odd to me? LOL um, yeah. Go to a more professional place.
