I received a 20 minute reading as well from the guest Psychic, Tamara and she was absolutely phenomenal. The real deal! This shop is full of so much healing energy and peaceful energy. On top of that, they have very clear moral values and support the right things. Love to see that with a business! Last but not least, the pricing was extremely fair and the employee wrapped everything so carefully for us. Wish we were local to Ojai, because we'd be here every week! Hope to visit again in the future.

small businesses often thrive on personal and reasonable service to repeat clients and customers…read more my BF had bought me a lotion from there. it was not the scent i normally buy from there (and i'm very sensitive to scents). all i wanted to do was exchange an unopened untouched box/bottle of the lotion for a different smell. same price, same brand. wouldn't have cost them anything. however, we evidently came in three days past their exchange "window" and they were completely inflexible. I have a small business myself and to me it's more important to provide service to my clients that will support the ongoing relationship and reputation rather than holding rigidly to small print to "protect" a $20 transaction. This store does not hold the same business philosophy that i do. that said, Copperfield's has lost any future business or referrals from my family who have been repeat customers for years.

They have such interesting merchandise including an assortment of unique gift cards, maps, pictures, stylish hats, scarves, and rare books to name just a percentage of what they have to offer. The sales associate was very friendly and helpful. He even tried on a hat I wanted to buy my husband and was concerned about the size. He let me know they take returns within 30 days with the receipt and original tagging. Fortunately it fit! This amazing shop is on Main Street which is closed to through traffic. There is free publick parking just down the street at the Museam of Ventura County. It is also in a great location for other speacialty stores and eateries.

A bit of shabby chic meets Asian Bali inspired. It might be somewhat of a spiritual type of store. Is it a reoccurring theme as every store you walk into along the main strip all carries some sort of dish ware. They're all very beautiful. Regardless if it's solid color or a beautiful print. They're all amazing. Loads of spiritual books, beautiful effortless pieces of clothing. Beautiful hand made pieces from all over Asia. There were some artwork on the wall but the main attraction was the massive red door leaning against one wall. Not sure if it's for sale but it was incredible. There some pieces of furniture on display as well but that could just be for show. The store has a nice calm feel when you walk in and browse through. Beautiful items on displays throughout the store.

One of the gals mentioned they knew the owner of the place that we should check out the store and see if the owner was in town. While waiting for the owner we took a look around and found some cute, fun and funny things! They had a Christmas tree decorated with camping themed merchandise which of course caught our attention. They had a little bit of everything for almost everyone and any age. Well, maybe not for infants at least i don't recall seeing anything for infants. The found the prices on some of the merchandise to be reasonable. Some of the clothing were on the pricey side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't purchase the really cute, and funny kitchen towels, I did purchase a couple of stickers (I enjoy stickers!). This business will find me here again if ever in the area.

They've always done a good job of creating small vignettes to show off different themes. This being Ventura, they definitely carry a lot of beach-themed items. One area that caught my eye this time was a section with camping / get outdoors / celebrating the National Parks merchandise. Some very cute and unique stuff to be had in that section. I found something for my aunt to make as a gift. She's making a goal to get around to all of the National Parks, and is steadily chipping away at it. What I got will help memorialize that in a whimsical way. The ladies who work the store are friendly and helpful, which makes the shopping experience even more delightful. Take your sense of humor in when you visit - you never know what you'll find to make you smile and even laugh out loud.

She berated a staff member because he told my son he would help save his pottery since there was a chance it wouldn't make it. Each session would have been such a nice experience if it wasnt for her. Also, they dont tell you that if you choose to glaze your own pottery, you have to let a staff member do one of them, so if you only have 2 pieces and you pay $30 to finish both, you technically only are able to do one yourself. Also, my first session, my pottery was smoothed out but this last session, it wasnt so im not able to drink out of the mugs I made. $200 average for one session for 2 which includes 4 final pieces.

A friend of the previous owner of the shirt was there and gave us a story about him that added to the appeal. She says she gets comments about it all the time. It's become one of her favourite pieces to wear. You can wake up early and bounce around yard sales and such or you can come here, save time, have fun then get some grub the next block over. Gems abound. The owner and her boyfriend are authentic locals and mad cool. Talk about anything from philosophy, Chi Gong, surfing or badass vintage cars.
