The salesman, Tim, and I concluded it probably needed a new battery. We called back to test drive and "talk numbers" and Tim said he had already had the shop put a new battery in it and it would be ready for us. I like that he was proactive. Both times we looked at it, it was detailed well and not dirty. I feel like some dealerships half-detail it and cars aren't as clean as they could be. Price was good and they were willing to work with us a little to get where we needed to be. Tim was relaxed and didn't apply any pressure for us to buy. He felt like more like our advocate during the buying process trying to get finance to agree to the price we felt was appropriate and worked for us. The first pass on the numbers included a "reconditioning fee" of almost $700, which should absolutely be included in the price and not a fee that shows up during the negotiation process, but they were willing to wave that once we told them the price we needed out the door to make a deal. We were in and out in about an hour and a half, which is not that bad. I have been at dealerships much longer and it's not fun. We had our 3 kids with us, so we just wanted to sign what we needed to and get out. Overall, pretty happy and would buy a car from them again.

I was expecting the worst when I brought in my 2006 Expedition, which wouldn't shift into gear. I was also nervous getting the car towed there without having ever been in. But I quickly felt better when talking with the staff on the phone, as they were very knowledgeable and professional. The repairs ended up being very affordable, despite another mechanic saying the entire transmission was shot. They worked quickly and accommodated my request to have the vehicle towed back to my house as opposed to picking it up in person. Overall, I felt like I received everything anyone could hope for in a car repair shop! Hopefully I won't need more transmission work, but if I do in the future, I won't take my car anywhere else.

They gave us 3 options I believe and I chose the middle one. The waiting area was not the most comfortable place to sit in my opinion. The 'couch' is like an outdoor piece of furniture and the pillows are very tired and obviously have been very used. However the chairs along the wall were fine. They had some complimentary beverages in a mini fridge which we appreciated. The service was pretty quick and we haven't had any problems since. I also am signed up for the grease monkey emails which saved me some money with a coupon they kindly applied.

With 3 kids, no idea how we would get home and in general what we were going to do, I am beyond grateful that we had AAA tow the car, off the 215 freeway, to J & G transmissions. James, the owner, was knowledgeable and extremely quick in assessing the situation (of the car and of our family). He lent us a car to drive to get lunch while his team assessed, fixed and double checked the car. His daughter Amber is a saint, providing coloring books, drawing supplies, a tidy coffee bar and best of all, otter pops just when we needed them. She kept the experience positive and kept our hopes up. I cannot believe how quickly they fixed our mini-van and how wonderful they were. Priceless. Businesses like this are special and really uncommon.

They've always been awesome to work with with, very communicative and upfront about turnaround. Jimmy is great at what he does. Once I had a strange transmission lurch after a recent service and he told me to bring it by because they had gotten a bad batch of filters. Sure enough, they fixed it and turned around quickly, didn't charge me anything, and it's been trouble-free ever since. It's not every day you find people who take pride in their work like Jimmy and the rest of Intermountain Trans do.

I've had my grandfather on my mother's side use them I've had cousins on my grandmother's side use them . it's always been nothing but amazing compliments. My son saved up and bought his first car the dealership he bought it from scammed him and sold him a lemon .(when we pulled the motor there was so much crack sealant and stop leak bound up in the block the mechanic said he has never seen so much) My son was now in debt with the bank for 15 grand the car that he drove for one week with a blown cracked the mechanic mentioned that the cracks on it had to have recently been put in within a month of that time... We had to buy a new motor for it and rebuild it . ( 5K MORE ) three weeks later the transmission went out.... It's on a Nissan Maxima it's one of those CVT transmissions. I called IMT , I was able to speak with Bob directly. that man worked magic the first conversation I had with them he had a brand new transmission there I would have been able to get it in and out but my son had to wait 2 weeks to be able to come up with the funds for the transmission . I called back down there and that transmission had already been sold Bob worked magic and had another one there in 3 days he had my son's vehicle in and out within half a week from that time . With IMT being honest , up front, no beating around the bush the warranty and their service is beyond phenomenal . he made sure that we came in for the checkup They didn't overprice or try to raise the price seeing a young man. my son being 20 years of age now he will continue to use intermountain transmission . I have four boys total and I guarantee you every one of them will use intermountain transmission they have not only locked in a customer for life My children will continue to use them !!!
