The parking/pull up area is not very well planned in my opinion, but someone came to talk to us fairly quickly. We just asked for a synthetic oil change. They gave us 3 options I believe and I chose the middle one. The waiting area was not the most comfortable place to sit in my opinion. The 'couch' is like an outdoor piece of furniture and the pillows are very tired and obviously have been very used. However the chairs along the wall were fine. They had some complimentary beverages in a mini fridge which we appreciated. The service was pretty quick and we haven't had any problems since. I also am signed up for the grease monkey emails which saved me some money with a coupon they kindly applied. read more

I wrote a review a couple weeks ago about my experience at Grease Monkey in Stansbury Park, UT. I'm updating my review to let Yelp users know that I not only had Brandon the store manager reach out to me but I also had Ryan the owner reach out to me. This is the reason that I've been going to Grease Monkey since they built a convenient location in Stansbury Park Utah. This is the customer service I've always received there & so I wanted to update my review so that potential & regular guests know that sometimes just picking up the phone & having a pleasant conversation and listening to the concerns that a guest had one time will and did make a difference for me & I will be returning to Grease Monkey as I really know now that they do value each and every guest. I'm giving a big shout out to Brandon and Ryan for caring to take the time to answer the review, to thank me for being a guest & for admitting that one person on their team made a mistake & they took the time to make it right. By the time our conversation was over we were talking about our families, our dogs, and so much more. He didn't just apologize but he took his time to get to know a guest and to be truly understanding about my experience. I'm trying to get the review deleted because I was impressed so much with how he handled the situation. He made no excuses & only wanted to make sure a guest who had a bad experience knew that she was important to him & his team. Brandon and Ryan a huge thank you to both of you & your team. I went to Stansbury Grease Monkey today for an oil change. Imagine my shock when I was informed that they were out of synthetic oil?!?!? Young man informed me that they were out of several oils and he didn't know when they were being restocked. Isn't this what you specialize in? Just lost a customer today. read more

I went in the get an oil change. When they were done they decided to use synthetic oil instead of conventional as I had requested. I complained but paid and left. The next morning I go to drive and my $90 oil change was all over my garage floor. I called and they would not answer. I had enough oil to get it to another shop and they said the filter was wobbly to the touch. I took about a week to get the owner to answer the phone as he ignored my message I left. This was my first and last visit to this location. read more

Why does an owner operator think that a bunch of teenagers can reliably run a business? I took my car in for an oil change, paid $80, and watched a long-haired teenager take my brand new air filter out rub it on the ground, and try to tell me that I needed to get a new air filter because mine was dirty. When I told him that I saw him rubbing on the ground he completely denied it. While waiting, I saw a young woman bringing her 4Runner, And watch the kids clean her windows check tire pressure, and do all the things that is supposed to be done at a grease monkey. I wonder if they even changed my oil at all?. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Terrible customer service sat in the lobby for 45 minutes and was never helped one employee even came in the lobby to give another lady her keys looked me in the eyes and went back in the shop. I wouldn't recommend bringing any vehicle here, place is a joke. read more

Took my truck to the Stansbury location for a differential change. They checked the fluid and said it was clean and full and didn't require a change at this time. It would have been very easy for them to do the change and take my money. Very please with their honesty, I will definitely be back. read more

I will not be going to Grease Monkey in Stansbury again. I had been going for a few years but lately I've noticed some shoddy work. My work vehicle came home without the shroud being hooked back up with pins that they broke off, so instead of fixing or at least letting me be aware, they jerry rigged it somehow and it fell off in front and was dragging when I got home. My other vehicle needed an oil change and instead of taking it back to Grease Monkey I did it myself. Same damn thing with the shroud not being attached correctly. Only one bolt holding it together instead of the 5. Not only that but my oil levels were incredibly low. Almost 4 quarts. I did not pull anything or drive it hard and it's a new truck so I know it's not burning oil. I just don't trust these guys anymore. Be aware. read more

I checked the website and it said they were open until 6. I pulled in at 5:13, only to be told they stop doing oil changes at 5:10. It wasn't even busy! Please make it clearer in your posted hours that you don't take cars after 5:10. read more

I have been going to Grease Monkey on a regular basis. Today, while I was waiting for an oil change, a woman was trying to pay for the service Grease Monkey rendered. She tried two credit cards and they were declined. She called her bank and they said it was the card reader at Grease Monkey. The guy behind the desk didn't know what to do, as his manager was not there. He couldn't take a check, he made her feel like it was her cards that were the problem, and he did my have authorization to do anything about the problem. The woman was so courteous and decent about the whole mixup, and even left her teenage son as collateral while she drove in her newly- fixed car to her bank to get cash to pay Grease Monkey. When I tried to pay, of course, the same thing happened, two credit cards declined. Luckily, I had the cash to pay, as I had no teenage son with me to use as collateral. The poor woman came back just as my cards were declined. It made Grease Monkey look quite silly. Grease Monkey, be sure a manager is there to solve the problems that arise. Give them authorization to discount this poor lady's car service. She had every right to be indignant, yet she smiled and was as pleasant as could be. read more

Ok so when they first opened they were wonderful to me. Came back today and they were very distracted. Socializing with each other seemed more important then there job. Small detail that they seem to pride themselves on took less priority. For instance, my floor was not vacuumed and I specifically asked for them to be vacuumed and brought cash to tip for the extra effort. There flower they are suppose to leave, wasn't there and my mileage sticker wasn't either. So I had to go back after I left to get it so I knew when my oil needed to be changed again! It was inconvenient and annoying. Although a flower isn't a big deal, they are the ones that PRIDE themselves in these details because that's what sets them apart from me going else where. Hopefully someone see's this and speaks with there employees so it doesn't happen again. I'll go back once more when I am suppose to and hopefully they have there crap together again. Went in to get an oil change and transmission system flush. They did an excellent job! Complimentary drinks and they left a flower on the dashboard. (Typical Grease Monkey, going the extra mile.) They vacuumed the interior and cleaned the exterior too! My car purred like a kitten after. Great job, definitely will be returning! read more

Bad service! Take your chances? Just moved to stansbury and as probably most of us out this way put the miles on the vehicles. I used grease monkey in SLC and the service was pretty good. I thought this location would be the same and they use MOBILE 1, which I prefer. Come to find out they are franchised and they are not the same. I have four vehicles and for some reason a few always need services around the same time.. MY ISSUES! 2 vehicles were running a little rough and come to find out they were both overfilled by over a quart and a half, I had to drain them myself. My other vehicle, brand spanking new, its first oil change was under filled by about 1 quart, I found this after realizing my other two were over filled. I called and they didn't offer to help they just told me what kind of oil they put in it so I could add it myself. All three vehicles were serviced within the same week, So it was easy for me to do the work myself as I was not taking my vehicles back. This is why my fourth vehicle is never going there. ALSO, two my vehicles I payed close to $80 for full synthetic, if you look at there stickers they say to come back in after 3,000 miles. Most all places including SLC grease monkey and the dealerships have you come back in after 5,000 miles if using synthetic. This location is a sham.. I will never go back, if three of my vehicles were done wrong, I can only imagine what everybody else is dealing with, thats if they even check. Don't know why I always get screwed on vehicle service? Good luck! read more

They sold my wife a $39.00 oil change the basic package but did not tell her that anything over 5 quarts of oil would be charged at $5 a quart. So an oil change that would be $26 at Walmart was $52. Maybe you could have let her know about the extra charge before you did the service. read more
