After their inspection, Subaru informed me that the vehicle had registered a P2715 code related to the transmission pressure control solenoid. Their proposed solution? Replace the entire transmission system at a staggering cost of over $12,000, or offer me a mere $1,000 trade-in value for my vehicle (oh and also they couldn't diagnose the car play issue and charged me 100 bucks just to look into it) I found this recommendation incredibly concerning, especially after obtaining a second opinion from an independent mechanic. I was quoted approximately $2,296 to replace the pressure control solenoid, a far more targeted repair that addresses the specific issue. The discrepancy between these estimates is absolutely outrageous and raises serious questions about whether mark miller subaru was genuinely interested in diagnosing and repairing my vehicle or simply pushing me toward an unnecessarily expensive replacement to help with their inventory of used cars. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the feeling that I was being treated as though I knew nothing about cars and would blindly accept whatever I was told. We specifically asked about clean titles and were told they only sold clean-title vehicles, but the cars we selected turned out to have rebuilt titles. The loan application process was very slow. When the salesperson drove us to another branch to check out a car, we found a transmission error on the dashboard. After returning to the original location, we felt pressured to buy a more expensive vehicle instead of being helped with what we actually needed. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. We ended up buying a car elsewhere.
