Great experience. Alten was excellent and very friendly. Will be coming back here in the future.Thank you!!!!

These guys are true Oil Shapeshifters. They can do things with cars that I'd never imagined possible. Watch as they transform your oil into hydrogen, electricity, or even carrots. Sit in awe as your broken down old Toyota Camry gains features such as 'nitro turbo boost' and 'ultimate hydro submarine mode.' Ever heard of James Bond? Neither have they. Because they are the real deal. read more

I never have to wait on these guys, and they check everything and tell me when all of my other fluids/filters need to be changed. Super friendly vibe. Great work guys! read more

Came here on whim because I obviously needed an oil change. It is first come first serve, very great service, great guys, couldn't complain at all. found them to be very reasonable with prices, checked everything for free, refilled things, cleaned my windows. I will definitely be going back, instead of the over priced dealership maintenance centre read more

I came here before when I got a flat and they helped me out, no charge. I came back for an oil change and they did a great job, very friendly and fast. read more

So, my first experience was good, but I like to wait on reviewing auto places once I've gone a few times. My second time was distinctly not great. 1. Driving away I heard strange rattling sounds under the hood, the guy hadn't secured the hood prop rod, which granted is a small detail, but a detail nonetheless. 2. He must not have properly secured the oil valve cover, because a couple of weeks later I was leaking oil everywhere. I went to another place, which treated me very well, and said that's what must have happened. So, I can't prove Oil Changers were at fault, but... I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

This place is great. You can just sit in the car and they do everything. Alten in particular is a terrific employee. Highly recommend this place. read more

I never write reviews, but then again I rarely recieve service with such professionalism and knowledge. I took my mercedes to oil changers after being told by surrounding shops there was a 2-3 day wait. There wasnt any wait at oil changers. First I was worried that maybe it was due to a bad reputation but an employee named Alton imedietly changed my outlook. He knew more about the car than I did. He gave me insight and options. He even corrected a mistake made by whoever changed the oil before.(double gasket) I was very impressed with the service at oul changers mainly due to the fact that Alton was in charge. read more

Quick service, very friendly staff, and great prices! Thought about going to jiffy lube, but happy I took a detour. :) Def recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I would! I brought in a VW beetle that was rarely driven and had not been driven for almost a year and so I thought I should take it in for an oil change. My last oil change was also done by the Oil Changers. The guys working there were super honest and told me cars that use synthetic oil don't really need their oil changed unless there a lot of mileage is put on the car. Then they showed me the oil stick and said the oil still looked really clean. So, they told me I didn't have to change the oil and didn't charge me even for checking the oil! These guys are so honest, I'd go back to them any day. read more

Great service! My car needed an oil change and more and Alton gave some great recommendations, expert service and a fair price. My car has close to 200,000 miles on it and it's driving really well! Thank you. I'll be back for my next oil change. read more

Had a great first visit to Oil Changers on San Pablo in Berkeley. Very convenient and professional service. This will be my new go-to for oil changes. One thing to note is that they don't do tire rotations. Other than that, really liked being able to stay in my car during the oil change. read more

I am a big fan of the Berkeley Oil Changers! I have been going to this location for about 5 years and they have always been very thorough and exceedingly friendly. My favorites (that I remember) are Josh the manager and Shawn, but honestly I think that this location just hires hard working folks with nice personalities. I have always been pleased to spend my 20 mins. here, and everyone gives me great service whether I am outgoing and chatty, talking on the phone or writing emails. Everything has been top notch at this location, from recommending a great local auto mechanic to printing out copies of old service records. Definitely my favorite location for the chain and a standout in the pit stop oil change world. The quick free top offs in between oil changes and great service make this an awesome deal as long as you are ready to say "NO" to their friendly attempts to up sell over-frequent fluid exchanges and gimmicky fuel cleaners. You will always get great service and a smile at the Berkeley Oil Changers and they are definitely the kind of service station it is easy to recommend and visit when it is time to give your car some oily love. read more

Great service! Shawn even showed me how to replace something myself, instead of trying to sell it to me. Definitely returning. Good service is always appreciated. read more

I am a retired foreign service desk jockey now writer. I know nothing about cars. My son knows less. So I take his new Crosstrek to these guys. I rely on their knowledge and expertise to keep the engine from locking up and exploding. In fact, I believe every word they say. Plus, they have pretty sound senses of humor and are friendly. I am moving to San Leandro .... but I am not moving away from the attention this establishment provides. The drive will be worth it. Five thumbs up here. read more

These guys are great!! They are so fast and go above and beyond without asking they check the whole car! Honest hardworking bunch of guys!

Excellence service !!! They get the job done & have the best prices around !!! I took my car in for an oil change and they were quick very knowledgable and extremely helpful! Would highly recommend these guys and will be back again !!! read more

Sorry for the late review. I was here Saturday. Shawn and his crew were nice professional even though there was a wait once my car was on the bay it was quick! read more

This is an update from a customer that Josh (manager), Alton and crew have helped out *multiple* times on coolant servicing for a mid 90's domestic car. By "helped out", i mean that these guys have treated me very well, providing attention to detail that you wouldn't otherwise expect from a "quick oil change" specialty shop. They work fast, but they are not rushing. They strive to do the right thing; after they finish whatever the customer has come in for, their standard operating procedure to check headlights, brake lights and other quick but important safety systems on the car is done to help *you* not them. The team has quite a vibrant rapport amongst themselves, and if you somehow find that distracting, just be assured that when they address you they will be quite courteous and exude a customer service spirit that is getting harder to find these days. read more

Fastest and easiest oil change of my life. Super good dudes work there. Not one complaint!

Friendly, fast service. Professional team and good pricing. I think I found my new oil change spot!

My first time here getting an oil change and I can honestly say they did a great job . Checked my tires , cleaned my windows & told me a little more about the car . Really nice & pretty quick . Will definitely be going back . Thanks guys ! read more

Great service! No wait time at all! Would come back here again for a quick oil change.

Finally decided to stop in after driving past everyday. Great service. Recommend for easy in and out service.

Elton and Devonte hooked it UP! Came in with our 2007 4-runner and they helped us with everything from power steering fluid to even offering to change our blinker bulbs. Definitely will be coming back! Would give them 100 stars if I could!!!! read more

These are my go-to guys for several years now. The crews are efficient, coordinated, cheerful, informative and prfessional. Love these guys!

11/10 Would recommend. Asked for an oil change and they took care of my car with great service.

I usually never leave reviews but this time I will. My experience was horrible for the 1st time at this location and I have been coming here for a while. My boyfriend went in for a routine oil change and as we drove home my car put out blue smoke and started to drive Very weird . We was able to make it home. I called the store location spoke to the manager and he came out to my home and looked at my vehicle and said my technician over filled your oil intake by 2 quarts. He literally drained a half filled bucket of oil out. My car oil check engine light came on and he diagnosed the check engine light came on due to a faulty knock sensor. Which the light wasn't on before. A few days later I spoke the the regional manager named Amani and also came out to take a look at my car and stated that he is aware that the oil was over filled and etc and that he could flush my oil out and re do it if it was ok with my housing complex because it could get really smokey which was fine. About a week or less my car started to drive really sluggish and kind of a bit jerky so I took it back to this location asking for help on what's going on and are they able to do a compression test on my engine because a mechanic advised me of possible issues that could occur with over filling engine. The manager Shawn advised they don't perform those type of test there but I can take it to a shop and have it done on my expense. But he said that it sounds like the transmission and then said your transmission fluid could be low let me check he then checked my transmission fluid and said "there's fluid in there I'm not sure what's wrong ". He then walks away and walks back on the phone with his boss saying another woman with a Mercedes Benz is upset also because either her car was filled with the wrong oil or over filled and that she was on her way back down to the location. I then had enough because I felt no one was willing to help me being my car was working fine before I came in for my original oil change. I called Armani back and he basically said get your car looked at and if it's something we did then we will take care of it and go from there . So I did the next business day I took my car to a professional shop to get a full diagnostics on my vehicle and to find out the transmission was slipping due to overfilling of the transmission fluid also which caused the fluid to foam and cause erratic gear shifting I informed them of what was told to me and the regional manager Amani said they don't touch transmissions/ transmission fluid and it's weeks later that I'm calling and the only way to go about this situation is to call Better business Bureau because it's not there fault "because they don't do transmission work or transmission fluid top offs" per the regional manager I can't believe the type of service or help that I am receiving due to this and it is sad I have children, i need my car for school and work and for me to have to do all the foot work on getting test and repairs done for something that they caused and is taking NO ownership of it is truly bad business Especially when I have documentation on the faulty work that was done to my vehicle from this oil changers. Response to Laura R from oil changers. The fact that you are only responding with an apology regarding "my frustration" and not responding to apologize for the unbelievable inconvenience and I forgot to mention DANGER forced upon me and my family by the poor work ethics of your business' employees speaks volumes to the lack of professionalism of this company. FYI over filling my transmission fluid is in a %100 correlation to my not-present-before-your-technicians-overfilled-my-oil and transmission fluid problems. This is a platform to share experiences with alike consumers, so please do not continue to harass my yelp review in efforts to save face for an establishment that should be deeply reviewed by the Bureau of Automotive Repair. read more

There was no wait when I arrived so I was taken care of right away. The service I received was quick and very friendly. They talked me through all the steps, showed me my old air filter and the new air filter. They washed my windows as well! Would come here again! read more

Quick, friendly, thorough. I don't do reviews, for the most part, but when it's this good...ya gotta say something.

I want to add my name to the long list of satisfied customers of this Oil Changers outpost. This is the 21st century way to get an oil change! You drive in, stay in your car and drive out shortly thereafter. The staff is friendly and efficient. The price is fair. I will be back with my second car very soon. Highly recommended! read more

Very friendly fast service! Cheaked everything very happy with the service! There was a very short wait to get in!

The absolute rudest people work here. A cigarette hanging from the guys lips the entire time he was talking. Disgusting. Worst costumer service I've ever received in my life. NO exaggeration read more

After purchasing a prepaid card for 4 oil changes, the asian manager kept trying to get me to pay an extra $3 because as he stated "the prices went up". I refused every time he requested the extra charge and left angry. After the third time, I went up to the Vallejo Oil changer and used my last prepaid credit without incident. read more

These guys were fast and courteous and clearly a team operation, which put me greatly at ease. They presented a lot of options (and I took all of them, in the name of deferred maintenance), but they were clear and direct on the pricing, no pressure, and showed me the results of each change. All fluids replaced, tires checked, safety/brake lights check, wiper blades. It was a guy mani-pedi and I loved it. All said and done, I paid less than what my dealer charges for a safety inspection and I saw all the action. Bringing my wife's car in next and recommending this place to anyone who asks. read more

These guys are the best. They are thoroughly attentive and address any services while also considering your vehicle type and driving habits.
