They were busy, had a little waiting time but the customer service by Raushanah was really nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Today I had my Promaster van serviced by 2 different places with 2 completely different results. Jiffy Lube took in my large Promaster Axion Van with no problem and checked the lights and the tires and the liquid and changed the oil. At the same time they washed the windows and vacuumed the van. All with a smile. I will rely on Jiffy Lube in the future. The Dodge dealership in Richmond did the opposite. They even commented the oil was low and dark but would not change it or too it off. Hence the Jiffy Lube stop. Who would guess Jiffy Lube would be better than the dealer?

Jiffy Lube is quite expensive for an oil change and a tire rotation but they are always quick and pleasant. I always try to arrive a 5-10 minutes before they open as I heard that the wait is quite long later in the day. For a full-synthetic oil change and a tire rotation cost about $129.39 even after a discount on their website ($16 off an oil change). Tips: Most of the time, you can get an oil top-off within 3 months if it is printed on your receipt; the website always has some form of coupon/discount so look before or even when paying! I like coming here because it is convenient, reliable, and close by but you can definitely find cheaper places elsewhere.

For your amusement, the sheered off bolt.

The tech snapped off a lug nut during a routine tire rotation. They handed me the lug nut and told me to go to a tire repair. And that was it, no apology, no real explanation, no compensation. I called the manager and got the "it was the person before us" story which is unlikely. Turns out they do lug nut repair (the technician didn't know?), but they would charge me full price. As someone else mentioned, Jiffy Lube is expensive - turns out the dealer matches their price, so I won't be returning. Would rather go somewhere run by adults who take responsibility for their mistakes.

They never offered me these services, but charged me for them. It feels really underhanded.

I needed a basic oil change, and I got a basic oil change. I also paid for a few extra services that were never offered to me. Over $100 for an oil change (this was after the website coupon) seemed like a lot, but I understand, times are hard. When they saw me rolling up in my 2010 Toyota, they probably assumed that I was some kind of wealthy trust fund kid. It happens all the time. I didn't see my bill until after I had paid, but there were a lot of things added to the bill that I apparently declined. They charged me for vacuuming the inside of my car and cleaning my windows. They never offered these services (I would have said yes), but they seem to have been added to my bill.

I just bought a used car, and Thamma and his team sprung I to action to make sure my car was ready for the rainy season ahead.

THE GOOD: This small…read moreshop is ran by a guy name Earl. Seems to have been in business for quite some time. I go to him on a Monday 10/20/25 for a smog diagnosis that he charged $95, about the standard price. He was able to complete the inspection and gave me a diagnosis back same day (approx. 4 hours total time). He offered a free throttle body clean because upon their inspection, the throttle was dirty and had a lot of carbon build up. I was notified the vehicle would be ready for pick up at 4:15PM, I told him I was going to be there 4:30PM. When I had arrived, earl was nice enough to wait around after they had closed for me to receive my vehicle. THE BAD: After I paid him for the diagnosis, he told me what was wrong and gave me the keys, then promptly left with a friend that was awaiting him. Right after I pulled off in my car, something was awfully wrong. The idle RPMS was sitting at almost 2K RPMS on a cold start and would come to about 1500-1900RPMS the entire time. As I was driving while hitting the gas you could hear what sounded like was a vacuum leak somewhere and car has some minor lost power. I call Earl immediately after, but he was already gone from the shop; Earl told me to just bring it in first thing in the morning. I bring the vehicle back to Earl on 10/21/25 a day later and present to him what had sounded like a vacuum leak. He was quick to check into but also VERY QUICK TO DENY RESPONSIBILITY. I told him that the vehicle was 110% not like this when I had brought it in and they definitely may have knocked a hose or two loose or something. They first told me they would not doing anything like that, and wanted to run a smoke down test in-front of me to check for vacuum leaks. I was told by Earl, they only took off the air intake boot to access the throttle body to spray carb cleaner and there's absolutely no way they caused any of the issues presented. They run the test, and there shows no leaks from the smoke. They also run a brake clean spray to see if it will choke the RPMs down (another method to check for vacuum leaks). We go for a couple of test drives back and forth, the mechanic that Earl has working for him, poor guys age is catching up to him and cannot hear a huge vacuum leak for his life. Earl claims to hear it as well, but cannot figure out what it is. Earl first blames the brake booster, and is adamantly asserting that he or his shop did not cause this. ***Earl THEN DISCOVERS A MISSING connection on my VSV, but the old mechanic claims it won't cause any vacuum leaks or noises and just caps it off.***. They then proceed to say the noise and high RPMS is an exhaust leak and show me where it is leaking. You can see exhaust smoke coming out the pipe right below the manifold but I wouldn't say it was sufficient enough to be causing such a vacuum leak noise. They adjudicate the issue is an exhaust leak, therefore, they did not cause it and cannot fix it anyways. It is worth mentioning I am not by any means a mechanic. I am what you call a garage monkey. I understand some concepts, but no way am I to be at the SUPPOSED level these guys are at. I have my doubts so I go home and take apart the air intake boot and further inspect the throttle body. There it is, lo and behold a vacuum line disconnected from the throttle body that was suppose to be connected the VSV. To summarize everything , Earl is a truthfully a honest guy it seems, but is seemingly incompetent on the work and guys working for him do rushed, shoddy, crude, messy work. It's not hard taking off an air intake boot and reconnecting all necessary hose lines back. Paid $95 for some problems they claim they didn't cause and don't believe the customer, ONLY to take it back home and undo the bad work they did. Crazy stuff and would not go back. Be wary of what you're doing here.

Chris received a $17,000 estimate from the dealer to replace the entire system, which was pretty shocking. Instead of stopping there, he went above and beyond to find a specialized vendor who could repair the system, saving me an enormous amount of money. He also handled all the coordination with the vendor and oversaw getting everything reinstalled and working properly, which made the whole process seamless on my end. Throughout it all, Chris kept me informed every step of the way. His communication and follow-through were excellent, and I always felt taken care of. This came after a disappointing experience with my previous mechanic of six years, who offered no real solutions and treated me poorly despite my loyalty. Needless to say, my loyalty has now shifted. If you're looking for someone honest, resourceful, and truly willing to go the extra mile, Chris and Holland Service are the real deal. I highly recommend!
