A nice, affordable, apparently family run business. I think they'll be my oil change guys from now on.. none of the Hoopla of some of the snazzy, you're looking Oil change outfits. I pulled up. They told me the price they got to work and I was done. I'm happy with that. I'm worried that the less than snazzy appearance of the neighborhood and indeed the shop might scare away business. read more

I took my truck and got my oil changed they told me one price but when I looked it up, the price was different , so I left and told them my girl was coming in my 2008 Toyota Highlander and I asked him how much would it be for synthetic oil for a in a Toyota Highlander they said between $70 and $95 depending on the engine size she called me when she left and said they charged her $140 read more

Shop undertightened my oil drain plug and it fell out 100 miles later on the highway causing my oil to drain completely. Luckily I caught it immediately and pulled over and shut my engine off. I was stranded far from home at 9:30pm and got a tow to an autozone. I came back the next morning, got a plug and oil and refilled my engine and got back on the road. When I confronted InstaLube about this they argued with me, called me a liar, came up with several bullshit excuses (oil all over my frame was from an engine leak, oil all over everywhere was due to a loose plug, it couldn't have fallen out blah blah) They offered to pay for the new plug and oil and give me a free oil change in the future. They refused to give my money back for the oil change. Eventually after more arguing they agreed to give me a full refund. I went to an independent shop with good reviews, paid for an expensive oil change, got poor work done and then poor customer service when they were confronted with their shoddy work. They wasted 6 hours of my time and almost killed my truck. Use a torque wrench when you tighten the drain plug and these fuckups won't happen, and when you make a mistake own it and make it right. Mistakes happen but your bad attitude needs to go. I won't be going to this shop ever again and I hope that my engine doesn't have issues down the line. read more

Fast, professional, and well priced oil change operation. More competitively priced than the surrounding locations. I made 3-4 calls, some places were overpriced, others had sour attitudes for the simplest questions, but Insta Lube was totally professional. I was in and out in 15 minutes flat. This place is BS and takes advantage of women. After having my wife stop in for an oil change in which I expected to pay no more than $50 or less they tack her with a $94 bill. She was told her car took an extra quart of oil than normal cars. WTF is that about. Then they double charged her just to top off her coolant. In which she was told would be an extra couple bucks turned into an $18 charge on the bill. The "extra quart" of oil was $25, $25 dollars you have to be kidding me for 1 extra quart. I encourage every single person who reads this to never go to this place. They do not deserve your business or anyone else's business. After I called and complained he the manager was only willing to refund $12 on the bill. This by far is some of the worst service I have ever heard of and I'm disgusted that my wife was treated like she was a bag of cash pulling into their dock for service. read more

Needed an oil change and this was cheap and convenient. It's not a typical drive in, get out of car, and wait model. Instead you drive right through, stay in your car, and the whole process takes less than 10 minutes. Reasonably priced at roughly $35. Staff also replaced wipers - at my request for another $15. They also found that the drainage valve cap was stripped (likely from the last oil change) and offered to fix it for $5. Not sure if I'll be back in this area again soon, but if so, I'll come back by. read more

There are several lube places in this area. Ya gotta look for the Insta Lube across from the 'Big O' tires. The same family has owned this place for many years. I have had them do all my fluids including automatic transmission, differential and motor oil. It is really fast, you barely have time to browse the newspaper at the little plastic table. They use Chevron motor oil with Castro oil available. They NEVER do any of that BS about clumpy oil, etc. They will check your air filter and their prices are a bit more than a Kragen sale price. They also put a little sticker in your vehicle that states change at 3K miles, which is not necessary for modern cars and uses up hydrocarbons. TIP: When using multi-grade oil, don't use one that combines more than 25. The chemical that binds the different grades together is deleterious to the engine. 10-40 = 30 Bad 5-30 = 25 Good 10-30 = 20 Best Source: Consumer Reports read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I am fuming mad, my boyfriend went in for a simple oil change and they broke a bolt, which now in turn he needs to replace the whole oil pan, replace the oil that was lost and of course service and labor. Which in turn is going to cost up to $400... WTF. I will never recommend this place and will be filing a claim/complaint if the owner or management doesn't rectify this situation. Update: Spoke to the manager today and he was incredibly nice, listened to my complaints and concerns. My boyfriend was refunded the parts and offered free oil change. I am still upset this happened, but grateful the manager acknowledged what happened. read more

Don't do it - these guys do not know what they are doing. I tried to take my car to the regular mechanic and they couldn't do an oil change while I waited. I was in a hurry so I came here. They were nice enough but the guy under my hood acted as if he had never done an oil change before. When he removed the air filter he practically stripped the screws before another guy showed him how to do it correctly. Then he needed help loosening the oil filter. When I tried the clean my windows they hadn't filled that reservoir even though it was checked off on their receipt. I asked the manager to double check all of the liquids and there was another that had been ignored as well. Even worse when I can home there was fresh oil dripping from my car. Next day I brought it to the mechanic who said that they hadn't installed the oil filter properly and the leaking oil had made a huge mess under the hood in addition to staining my driveway. If I hadn't noticed it could have caused even larger problems. I returned there to get a refund and they denied doing anything wrong and said that I should have returned it to them - yeah, right. Anyway, I'm just glad I'm only out $28 and will never go to these jokers again. read more

They were quick, which was good, but they said my oil change for a MINI Cooper was $100 because it requires synthetic oil. Their price wall had a full service synthetic oil change at $68. Couldn't get a solid answer on why mine was an additional $30. Good service, though. read more
