When I get there they would say " sistah how can I help you" I would tell them I need oil change and they would check everything else and fill it up. Ok so I needed an oil change. I came here on 11/5/19. I drove up there was NO CARS ahead of me good deal. I saw employees sitting down just chillin waiting on a customer to drive up I drive up and I am guided to drive all the way in. I explained I want an oil change and I ask for a menu of services they offer ect. Jiffy lube and other places usually give you a paper menu of services to look at so you can make an informative decision ect Well not this place I was directed to look at a wall to the right of me and the signage I could not see because of where it is placed. So to make a long story short I paid 50$ for an oil change and I personally feel that was a lot it was literally just an oil change and that is it. I asked if they can or could replace my filters they said NO but that they would clean it OKK but they never showed me that they actually cleaned them. I was told my transmission fluid was low so that was an extra 8$ so a total of 58$ for an oil change and to add transmission fluid and to clean a filter they never showed me was cleaned like how they show you the oil is clean. And that is the other thing you are basically forced into paying for synthetic oil and paying 50$ when my car based on the mileage doesn't need synthetic oil. It's my commuter car. The service is so fast makes you kinda wonder what If anything they really did. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate fast efficient service but when it comes to car stuff I would prefer quality work over anything else. read more

This place is a scam. There is a guy there named Sonny who will insist you use synthetic without looking up the make, model and engine type of your car. After stupidly not looking in my manual for the type of oil needed I trusted him to put the right thing in. Turns out synthetic caused an issue with my engine and burned extremely quickly. When I called him to request nonsynthetic this time he started arguing with me, even after I told him the manual specifies it, citing his 30 years of experience of upselling synthetic. I let the dealer do my scheduled maintenance, and prefer to clean and maintain tire pressure to my own standards. Between regular servicing, I prefer to have someone else change the oil. For me, this particular Insta Lube was ideal. The oil was changed without any fanfare, brake and wiper fluid was checked, as well as the air filter. In less than 10 minutes I had paid and was on my way. They use good quality oil for the standard oil change which costs $31, tax included. (August 2008) Mobil 1 synthetic oil is offered for a total of $58 including tax. They show you the fill point on the dip stick to confirm the oil was filled. Simple, quick, easy and very well priced. I went here and got both of my cars oil changes. They say they can do it in 10 minutes and they did it in just under 10 minutes (per car). I do not know the quality of the services due to the fact it was just an oil change (They put the oil in, changed the filters, and also check your fluid levels and stuff.) Nothing spectacular, but quick and easy. They provide other services, but I just got the basic 27.00 oil change. read more

I have always taken my cars to this shop for years. In January I bought a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan and had my oil done no problem. Tried to have it done somewhere else in Oakland and they couldn't do it because they said the oil pan plug was stripped. Took it back to them they claimed they fixed. Went to LA for 4th oil light came on could not get it fixed for the same reason. Put 5qts in and drove home no problems. Log story short every time I have tried to get the oil changed somewhere else its always the same response....oil pan plug is stripped. Husband went back again today and they said it was stripped by the Oil Change/Car Wash on High street where he was turned away from and who turned me away for same reason a few month prior. And then refused to even do the oil change because he said WE stripped it and he made a mark on my car. Yeah right you do hundreds of cars and you remember MY car.
