Excellent service--quick, efficient, helpful, honest, and competent. I came in because I thought my oil was looking a bit dirty. They took the time to explain that it was not that bad (showing me an example of actually dirty oil) and said I should come back in 1,000 miles since my last change was 4,000 or so ago. They still checked my fluids, topped them off, checked my tires, and inflated them, all at no cost and with a friendly demeanor. I'll be back for sure! read more

This is only a review for how Alton treated us when we had a flat tire and the diagnosis. We did not get an oil change here. My car had a very flat tire and since they were one of the only places open on a Sunday and they offered to fill my air for free, I ended up here. Alton was really nice and checked all 4 tires. He also knew immediately what was wrong with the flat (there nuzzle was broken). They could not fix the particular problem there, but he recommended another place that could fix it right up for cheap. I'm so glad Alton was working that day!! read more

My roommates swear by this place and lots of good reviews made me eager to get my oil changed. However, I was greeted by the most condescending person when I arrived that I had to leave only a few minutes later. As I trying to enter the service bay, the staff person with glasses and curly hair mocked the way I was turning the steering wheel to follow his rapid and confusing hand signals. To be treated so rudely was disappointing and why I cannot recommend this establishment. There are PLENTY of other places to get your car serviced that are welcoming. read more

Genuine customer service (a lost art at most places) and even excluded the usual extra charges for complicated cars, saying: "I didn't want to embarrass you in front of your girlfriend, since you brought her here to make her safe!" I have also purchased a mutli-oil change card from them and tell everyone I know, make a trip to see these specific guys they are the real deal and will make you feel happy about your day, your car and about finding the perfect shop. It's kind of funny (but true) to say that I actually *enjoy* getting my oil changed here. I've been going here for 5+ years and the service is consistently efficient, thorough, and friendly. I'm usually in and out within 30 minutes even if there is a line. They always mention an upsale service, but it never feels pushy. Also, I just recently called them to ask for a record of service (requested by my insurance company) and the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful and patient while we got the situation figured out. Sketchy with their prices. I called ahead of time gave them my car info and they quoted me at $49 with an additional $4 per quart. So at most assuming my car is a 4quart I'm estimating I'll be paying $60 plus tax. I pull uP and as the guy is popping my hood he quotes me at $84. No idea where he pulled this number out of but I told him I called and asked for a quote and he proceeded to make up some excuse as to why it was now (5 min later) more in person than over the phone. read more

This place is pretty great. The guys are super thorough and check on everything. I've been many times-- sometimes they say I don't need an oil change because my mileage is low and just give me the free top-up, other times they give me a laundry list of stuff I need done with my car. Regardless, I always feel like they're honest and help me, a car know-nothing, keep my vehicle in halfway decent condition! The free top-ups part is especially awesome since my car apparently gobbles up oil! They also always check on all your other fluids, tire pressure, etc, and even wash your windows :). I went in at about 8:30am on Saturday morning. There was just one other car there and One service technician so I was in and out within 25-30 min. OMG!!! I just happened to be in the area and was over due for an oil change. I called first then pulled in, Devonte greeted me while Shawn was in the background spouting off jokingly about me not knowing how to drive my mustang. I thought it was cute which brought down any concerns of the place ripping me off. Between the two, they both engaged me in friendly conversations while maintaining timely necessities. I should have listened to the other Yelpers. But these were the only guys open on a Sunday and I didn't want to take time off during the week. This was the most dishonest and aggressive oil change place I have ever been too when it comes to selling the extras. In one case the young man breathlessly came to my window saying that, at 80,000 miles I was overdue for a coolant flush. I said I would think about it. The young man proceeded to start preparing to do a coolant flush WITHOUT my approval. I had to yell out the window at him that I did not want it and then argue about it. Upon checking my owner's manual, I learned that actually I was not due for a coolant flush until 100,000 miles. They applied the same aggressive dishonest tactics to try to get me to buy an overpriced air filter. A couple of days after my oil change, I found that after inflating my tires to the incorrect pressure, they had failed to replace the valve-stem covers. A small thing? Maybe. But ask yourself this? What if for you it turns out to be the oil plug? read more

10/23/19 I'm still hopeful because it just happened. Despite the fact that they had a very clean bathroom, the employees at oil changers at this Berkeley location broke / flattened /spam /spring / stripped the thread of the OIL draining screw/plug of my car. I came back to them there thinking this would be reasonably understandable for them (YOU WERE THE LAST ONE TO TOUCH THE CAR AND CHANGE THE OIL, SO THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, YOU MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR SERVICE...PLAIN AND SIMPLE) apparently not for them; not only they did not fixed or offer to fix the problem they cause, the manager was sending me to a mechanic of his "trust" so I could seek help on the problem they caused and I would be on my own; after a long wait....3 customers have started and finished their oil change ( about 1 to 1.5 hours later they used an air pump to drain/suck/pull the oil from the top with some strategic located clearly tools ( several different sizes straws/hoses) that are regularly used...the manager than ask me: cash or credit? no mention of what, how, when, who...will solve the problem they created...I said, I'm not going you to pay until you the problem resolved/fixed....so far all I've got was his business card and a promise that they will call me back, not even the name of his boss, or a phone number to contact him they made a schechy, secretive, doubtful, possibly phony phone call to someone to pass the ball to a higher level since the manager said he could not do anything ....(to be continue) read more
