We have had a great experience with Ohm Solar Solutions in Chico. We found out about this Company at the recommendation of our roofing contractor. We had a solar installation that needed to be removed in order to complete the re-roofing. We contacted the original installer of the solar panels to handle the removal, but needed to send a letter to them because it is impossible to reach anyone with that business by phone or email. They never gave out a phone number for texts and were extremely frustrating to work with initially. They came out, said the 3 roofing contractors who told us the solar installation was done incorrectly were wrong, promised to send an estimate to remove and reinstall, took down my email address, and we never heard from them again. Our roofing contractor worked with Ohm Solar Solutions to remove and reinstall the existing solar installation. Brandon was our Ohm sales representative. He called back to make an appointment the same day that I called to inquire about installing additional panels. At the last minute, we decided to also get a battery. The prices were fair, based on the current market and the impact of tariffs. Ethan, their case manager, was assigned to us. He responded within minutes to my text messages or phone calls. When they schedule a time to come out, they arrived or let me know there would be a delay. I can still text Ethan if I have questions and continue to receive excellent service from Ohm Solar Solutions. Everything is up and running. They assisted with apps that keep us informed about the power being generated and how it would be distributed. We are still connected to the grid with PG&E, which is needed if we have a series of cloudy days, but PG&E is also purchasing excess power generated by our system. We could not be happier! What a contrast to our experience with the other solar business!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. We have a 3 day old baby, sign on front door saying sleeping baby do not disturb, do not knock or ring. Salesperson ignored sign, rang doorbell and knocked. When I went to the door he said he didn't see the sign, but my ring doorbell shows him clearly looking at the sign as he walked up to the door. A representative from OHM recently reached out to me, even after I had already made it clear to other members of their team that I did not want to do business with them. Clearly, communication within this company is very poor. I understand they wanted to make a better impression because the previous person I dealt with is no longer employed there. However, the new representative texted me and addressed me as "Princessa" (princess). This is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for any business. He claimed that was the name listed under my father's phone number, but instead of assuming, he should have confirmed my actual name. Being addressed that way made me feel very uncomfortable. If OHM truly respected its customers, they would respect boundaries, communicate better internally, and treat people with professionalism. Had appointment, 9-12 window. No technician, no phone call or text. Tech arrives 12:40. Called office after 12 to find out what's up. No one answers any of the Ohm Solar #'s I called. Left messages. Did receive a call finally saying nothing on schedule for me today!? But tech had finally arrived, 40 minutes past scheduled appointment window. Bad customer service. Ohm Solar Solutions is a sneaky high-pressure sales company. I already had a solar system, but they continually came by and badgered me about upgrading and I finally gave in and made a huge costly mistake. They convinced me they would only do what was in my best interest. Wrong! I didn't pay close enough attention to the fine print due to a lengthy 80+ page contract and trusted them on it. A system that might cost around $25,000 ended up over $130,000 with interest. I was quoted one payment for the life of the system and then find out it's going up every year. The finance company they use is also in cahoots and a suspicious financial institution. I am 74, not healthy, on a fixed income and they took advantage of me. All of what I was verbally promised I did not get and it was just a high sales pitch lie. The system is under built and does not produce what they said it would. PG&E will not allow me to export power from it so I have to rely on my old unreliable broke down system to receive any export credits . The battery back-up for night usage and in the event of an electric power grid outage only lasts four hours. Having backup power was my biggest selling point which is a joke. I was completely lied to and should've had a professional look at the contract. I appealed to Brandon the sales manager and the owner about it and they kicked me to the curb. They do not care about customer satisfaction, only the money. After all is said and done I will now have a large payment for the new installation and a PG&E bill that I cannot afford both. I've always heard about Solar scams, but never thought I would get caught up in one. If you are considering Ohm, make sure you read all of the negative reviews and pay close attention to their sales talk and do your research because they are very deceitful. They respond kindly to their negative reviews but it's just for show. Also, they use EverBright Solar financing which is a deceptive fraudulent company. Do not trust salesmam Jack Fischer. I'm paying $299 for the system (batteries and panels) and PGE $600 on top of it and Jack Fischer will not answer calls and will not help me out with this problem and it's been over a year. When techs come out when there's a problem, which is 2-4 times a year, they don't understand why I'm pay so much and to reach out to OHM solar and they do nothing to help me with the problem. I am not the homeowner but the home where we are staying has ohm solar. I have had multiple problems with the inverter but because we don't have WiFi and refuse to buy a $700 back up solar battery they won't service the property. But maybe it's because I am a concerned mama of 3 just trying to find out why my energy bill is high. I guess they worked out a contract with the homeowner where their warranty isn't valid anymore because I can't afford WiFi or a cell modem to monitor the solar. I have heard great things about neighbors solar systems where they can see their energy use from the inverter box and their boxes are installed in the garage where others can't access it. So if going with ohm and you don't want to monitor it with WiFi or a cell modem, I would look into other companies. I heard sun run is a good company. read more

Ohm sold me a solar roof system last summer. They did not inspect nor advise me to get a roof inspection prior to solar panel installation. I had a recent annual air conditioner maintenance and the tech noted my roof was in poor condition. I called a roofer to inspect the roof and they said it needed to be replaced. The cost of replacing the roof along with dealing with the solar panels doubled the costs of roof replacement. I wish they'd been forthcoming and said you should have a roof inspection before we install solar panels. They didn't want to loose a sale and installed solar on a roof that potentially would need replacing sooner than later. read more

Ohm Solar Solutions employs a multitude of sketchy characters to act as their door-to-door sales people, and for weeks now they have been flooding my neighborhood. I have attempted to be cordial and friendly to these sales people, and have explained that I am not interested in purchasing their products or their services, but with each interaction their sales people have become more aggressive and confrontational to the point that I will no longer answer the door when I see one of their sales people. Today they crossed the line. After one of their sales people repeatedly rang my doorbell and did not receive a response, he elected to trespass into my backyard where he began creeping around and peering into windows like a Peeping Tom! Lucky for this prowling salesman I was not home at the time, but I have attempted to contact Ohm Solar Solutions to discuss the behavior of their employees after observing their sales person on my security cameras. I have left a voicemail and left them a "chat" message through their website, but so far have received zero communication from this company. It is becoming clear that Ohm Solar Solutions is perfectly okay with their employees behaving in this deplorable manner. My advice is to avoid this company and their employees like the plague, and to contact your local law enforcement agency the second you see their "sales people" in your neighborhood. read more

Best place to get solar! I would 110% recommend them to anyone in a hundred mile radius of Chico, CA. By far the best solar company in the area not only are they saving people money but they are allowing people to not get taken advantage of PG&E and provide power themselves instead of relying on a company only running to appease shareholders and bring them more money. OHM Solar is the way to go if you don't want to get continuously ripped off by a real life monopoly (PG&E) and leagues ahead of any of the other solar companies in the area. Is this a pyramid scheme? A representative, claiming to know me, called to offer me employment. I'm fully employed and have never been on any job-search platforms so not sure why or how I was contacted. I don't know them, never contacted them in any capacity, never heard of the company, don't live near their service area, and don't know how my number was collected. I thought it was a scam until I looked up the company and see they actually exist. The reviews seem good but I don't know what got into their heads. Cold calling to offer... employment??? ...weird. Additionally, I saw another bad review from only a few days ago remarking on high-school aged kids soliciting him at his door numerous times to the point he had to walk away to get them to stop. Completely scammed. After a series of knocks on the door this guy Feridan knocks and says he can give us the best price I said off the top of your head approximately how much? He says 29k OK let's talk, winds up with a figure of 40k and after a bunch of used car salesman talk we got conned into it, 1st lie, then proceed to tell us we will receive tax money back that we can put to the loan, 2nd lie, it's a tax credit, proceeds to tell us there will be no true ups 3rd lie, just recieved a $2000 true up bill. Fahredin, Cody, Erin and really the whole crew of Ohm Solar are a true class act. Our entire experience from start to finish was excellent and my wife & I never had to lift a finger during the planning & installation phases - Fahredin of Ohm Solar really took care of everything!! We were also in need of a new roof at the same time of the solar install and the crew of Ohm worked hand-in-hand with the roofers, even though the two companies had no connection to one another. Like I said, a true class act. Anytime we had a random question pop into our heads, Fahredin was quick to answer his phone and/or give us a call right back with an answer to put our minds at ease. Exceptional value and top-notch service. Oh, and the panels themselves look stellar!!!
