They were very responsive to my multiple questions and worked efficiently to find us the best financing options. The whole process is a bit of hurry up and wait, however, given there are so many moving parts (bankers, brokers, underwriters, contractors, PG&E, weather...) to the whole thing, it's understandable. Terrible company. I paid for two Telsa Batteries in August 2019 and waited for month for the installation. Christian De Lucca lied and told me the hang up as with the Town of Paradise when in reality he never did the leg work. Additionall MR. De Lucca was TOO busy to properly ensure we had access to reading our TESLA BATTERIES!!! WHICH WE STILL DO NOT HAVE 5 MONTHS AFTER "INSTALLATION". After being promised the Tesla batteries for 5 months, the installation took place in mid December, COMPLETE PAYMENT OF $25,805. was paid. PARADISES FIRST POWER OUTAGE NO POWER!!!! TESLA WAS NEVER PROPERLY INSTALLED! I call and wait a week for the receptionist to get back and schedule an appointment. I wait another week and the technician arrives, after HOURS of looking at the system I'm told it was never connected to the INTERNET! FEBRUARY 2020 TESLA Corporation sends another Technological IDIOT to my home because TESLA NOTICES that the batteries are NOT CHARGING!!! This idiot technician claims he has TESLA Corporation on the phone and he has fixed the problem! BULLSHIT! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I signed a contract in October 2019, and as of 4/2/2020, my home is sitting with installed panels that do NOT work, and a damaged roof from the installation. Mario and Sandra came to my home and sold me on the idea. Mario promised us $1,500 in gift cards as a thank you for doing business --- but that was a complete lie. We never received anything and didn't hear from the guy again. Whenever I made contact, it was with Sandra and David (Mario never bothered to respond, even though he was copied in the emails). The installation went smoothly (or so we thought), but they damaged our roof and didn't bother to tell us. Luckily, my husband was smart enough to have the roof inspected immediately after, and that's how we found out about the damage. We had people come and do inspections, in hopes the panels could be turned on -- but it never happened. So as of now, I have a $40K loan in my name from purchasing these panels that don't work, and a damaged roof. I reached out to Mario and David to follow up on the process, and instead, Sandra responded to let me know I should reach out to her directly going forward. I found this odd, but finally talked to David and he explained that he and Mario were no longer part of the company because they had realized how shady the company was, and that the situation we were in, is similar to others. They have good me out of business. Of course because they did not want install our solar panels correctly. We've had a short since installation! We're never given any info on how to monitor our solar output. Long story short we now owe PGE over $2000 for a years worth of electricity our panels should have been making. All while paying the finance company for a product that doesn't work. Good thing they've gone out of business. This is a fraudulent company and please avoid them at all costs. I contracted them in 2019 to install solar panels & battery back up. Paid $1000 at the time of contract signing and 80% was due on installation and remaining after activation. They called me day before installing asking for 80% payment for material delivery next day. I paid as the delivery and installation was next day. They went missing in action after that. No one responding to emails or phone calls. Lodged a complaint with CSLB which investigated them and found to be cheating on several customers. I was one of those unfortunate ones. I believe CSLB revoked their license, barred the owner from starting future business, ruled against them to return the money back. While I was wondering how to collect the money back, CSLB contacted me about state setting aside funds for consumer relief from frauds like this. I was finally able to get all the money back from this fund. Just beware of fraudulent businesses like these. read more

I wanted to like this company. People i know worked for them. Long story short, i was told 6 to 8 weeks after contract was signed i would be benefitting from solar energy energy. That was the second weekend of June, 2019. They lost my file. 2mos went by (8weeks) and no one called or did anything until i called them in August. They came by again and took pictures again because they lost the first sets back in June. They installed the panels on Oct 1st, 2019...3.5 mos after signing. The PANELS HAVE REMAINED DISCONNECTED WHILE I HAVE BEEN PAYING THE LOANS since then. Today is Friday, January 17, 2020. 7 moths to the day almost and Jason Nicholson, the boss, is elusive and untrustworthy. Told me hell pay the loan monthly payments until the panels are connected, 3 months later keeps telling me the check is in the mail. read more

I wanted to like Phoenix SO BAD. As an eager sales rep. I got family and friends set up with what I thought was an amazing company. Fast forward half a year and EVERY one of my installs had a problem. EVERY transaction had a paper trail. Had to move on from the company as it was making me more enemies than money . Seemingly the case with a lot of sales people that have come n gone. Getting the run around and having to lie, offer money, and incentives to keep people happy ends up costing the rep, not the company. Having left for some time now, I'm still dealing with things from months ago . So, we signed up in August. We were told it would take longer to get permits for our solar because ours could not go on the roof. This made sense, no biggie. They said three months at most. Every time we call, we get handed to someone else. Every time we talk to someone, we get told something different. They clearly don't communicate with each other over there. If we want to know what is going on, we have to call them because they definitely won't call us. It has now been well over four months, almost five actually...still no solar...still waiting... Working with Eric and Jared at Pheonix Solar Energy here in Chico has been an excellent experience thus far. They are incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and they work diligently to problem solve and get the job done.I met Eric and Jared a few months ago, and my initial impression was that we couldn't afford solar energy. However, they both came up with an affordable plan that fit our budget, and will actually be cheaper than our projected annual utility bill. I was incredibly pleased with the tenacity that Eric and Jared showed in working on this project. All of my questions are answered thoroughly and quickly. Folks! I was in the same boat as all of you. I also purchased solar panels from Phoenix Solar Energy. I started noticing my light bill increasing in 2023. So for six months I was confused. I decided to call SolarEdge the manufacturer for my solar panels. They told me my panels were not producing energy. They immediately know what the issue was and sent me the replacement part because my panels are under an manufacturer warranty for 25 years. Here is when the challenge began for me. SolarEdge said I had to get the installers to come out and install the new system. Well, of course that was impossible because Phoenix Solar Energy is out of business. I called and called so many different companies to see who can help. Long story short, I finally called Luxury Energy Solar LLC. https://www.luxuryenergysolar.com. I have been strung along since Nov 2019 by this company. I currently have a battery hanging in my garage in which I paid the bulk of the money for the system and the job is frozen. There is no known permit with the city and it appears as if Phoenix Solar has deserted the job. I put out almost 12K and have no working power wall. I don't even have a clue at this point whether the installation was done correctly and will work in a power outage. My issue with Phoenix Solar is they haven't paid their supplier , CED and now CED has put a Mechanics Lien on my house what I'm after is for anyone else that finds themselves to be in the same fix to contact me we could perhaps help each other in fighting the lawsuits, it seems to me that CED showed bad judgement in continuing to supply Phoenix Solar when they weren't paying their bills. I was a sales person and customer. Do not give them ANY money, they are broke. At the end they are using your up front money to fund someone elses' install or their past bills. STOP!!!! Do not do business with Phoenix Solar. They installed a large solar system on our house. They were paid in full, in the amount of $67,408.75, for the complete system and installation. Phoenix Solar completed the project but did not pay their equipment supplier, CED Greentech. CED Greentech put a mechanics lean on our property and then filed a lawsuit against us for the balance of $19,633.93 even though Phoenix Solar is responsible for this payment.  CED Greentech is asking the court to force a foreclosure and sell of the property. Some how this is all legal. We have no choice but pay CED Greentech the $19,633.93, even though we already paid Phoenix Solar for this equipment. We have to pay twice. No one at Phoenix Solar would talk to me to address this issue. They just referred me to their lawyer. Their lawyer has not returned my call. read more

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Signed a contract and did not hear back from them for almost a month, so I called to talk with sales rep and found out he no longer worked for them. Basically had to start over again. Every time I called to find out when they were going to start they would always had some crazy excuse. Three weeks later it finally got done, but it took 5 weeks for it to get signed off, because for one they did not follow code requirements, two they changed the layout of the solar panels on the day of install, basically they did not lay them out according to the drawings that the city approved, three they did not wire the solar panel correctly, four they sent technicians onto my property without my approval and five I asked for some kind of compensation because it took so long to get it up and running and they said ok, but never got any compensation. read more

Phoenix Solar installed my system just 1month ago (March 2019)so I haven't realized the benefits yet. It all started with a young man named Keaton May's who knocked on my door. Ordinarily I dont respond to these type of solicitations, but Keaton was different from the start, wanting to just tell me a little of the benefits and arrange an appointment. I had been thinking is solar for a few years so made the appointment. He brought his boss and we had a very informative meeting, they even came back for a second meeting with my son present, to ask those questions I had not thought of. Wow, this is getting too long!!! Well I signed up, not one dollar from me to start. Looking forward to the benefits that I have already seen on my electric bill. Good company and Keaton and Jared are awesome to work with. Whole my experience with this company was stressful because of their poor communication each other. Seems like each person works as an individual worker. That's why the installer came to my house 4 times. I signed a contract for Tesla battery walls in August 2019. I knew it takes a while to get a permit because I had this company installed solar panels earlier last year. The installation was in the middle of November and the installer said, "you are all set. You can't even tell the power goes out because the Tesla will automatically switch." How do I doubt, and I filled my fridge with food...then we lost power!! I lost food in the fridge. The office girl said that I needed a special breaker and they are already ordered. That means they knew that the Tesla won't work without the special breaker. Why they didn't wait for the installation until they get everything they needed. Or they should've told the installer to inform me about that. After everything installed, it still didn't pass the city inspection because they needed to change old breaker panel to a new panel...the installer came back on December 16th. After the installer left my house, I realized that my hot tub is not working. I asked Phoenix to send me the installer to check the lines to the breaker switches he left out as "spear." There wasn't "spear" on my old panel. I was waiting for over month and nobody came. So, I reported the BBB for a help. Then, Phoenix told the BBB a lie that the company sent an electrician to my house on December 19th and solve the problem?? I was working all day that day. How an electrician opened my automatic gate without entering pass codes? How the electrician opened my garage without attacked by my three Dobermans? How the electrician not caught on security cameras?? I was mad and asked one of the owners' father-in-law for a help. Finally, the company sent an "ELECTRICIAN", but he didn't even open the panel and just saw my hot tub. He said, "The hot tub installation is wrong. That's why it stopped working." I had no words to this guy. It worked fine until the installer came and switched one sub panel to the other. They messed up my hot tub line. Now, I ended up with buying a new hot tub because its self-cleaning system stopped working for almost 3 months, my hot tub got nasty and I don't want to use it anyway. I was trying to forget about all this crazy experience until I received an email from a company person said, "Was the problem with the hot tub or our installer?" read more

Jared helped us with the entire process, from beating the competition with the price quote, to explaining their system, to getting installation done quickly and generally going above and beyond for us. We have had the panels up for nearly 4 months and our PG&E bills have been essentially limited to our gas and the hook up fees. I just finished reading the many negative reviews and I was not surprised. This shouldn't even be a one star. We signed on June 30,2019 and the work finally was completed February 11, 2020. Big tax break loss. These guys should not be in business as they don't know how to run one. Only after I turned them into the Contractors State licensing board did they finish the job. Jason the owner does not even have the guts to face any complaints so don't expect him to ever call you much less respond to an e-mail. We still don't know if it will work as the final inspection was just completed but after reading the reviews I expect to turn them in once again along with a court appearance. The list is long like the many other reviews. No shows or showing up without notice. Many broken promises as to when the job would get complete and many weeks without even a response. Rude subcontractors damaging landscapes without a care. The worst team of poorly trained management with absolutely no customer service skills. In all my years of working with contractors or service companies these guy's are by far the worst I have ever dealt with. This is my unfortunate experience with choosing Phoenix Solar to provide the solar panels and the battery for my energy needs at home. The initial inspection was only a few days later after the signing of the contract and the permits were pulled in just a couple of weeks. I signed the contract on September 26, 2019 and the contract stated that the install would be performed by Dec 15, 2019, which I wanted due to the 30% tax rebate ending January 1, 2020. The first half of November had no rain, but twice in November Rose from Phoenix phoned and said the install would have to be rescheduled. The first time was due to a scheduling error, and the second due to the materials not showing up. I agreed and made no fuss. Each time the rescheduled date would be another week or two out. At first I was okay with this. However, I was cancelled and rescheduled 5 times more. I understand this was due to weather but looking at the forecast a week prior is not very accurate. Some of the days were sunny and I just wanted it started so I could claim the rebate. Were talking thousands of dollars I could lose. Finally my job was somehow transferred to their Sacramento branch and I began speaking to a person named Aman and the supervisor Val. My last conversation with Val was that she said "I give my word you will be installed on December 11". Well December 11 came, so I took the day off of work and waited. The crew was to arrive at 8:30 a.m. Unfortunately I did not hear my phone ring at 9:30ish and a voice mail was left that there was an emergency and that they would not be installing today. Despite my several phone calls begging Aman or Val to phone back to explain, I got no calls back. I decided to phone the main branch in Chico on December 23 since I never actually got to speak to a human after the installation cancellation. I spoke to a supervisor named Sammy and she was understanding. She stated that she saw my job was cancelled 8 times and that was unnecessary and that the corporate branch would take my job over. I voiced my concerns that no one was calling me back and she said I shouldn't have that problem anymore. She said they couldn't do the job in 2019, as she could not displace the other customers that had appointments. I understand but I ask wouldn't my job be higher up the chain since I had been waiting since November? Apparently not. So, it was scheduled for January 6. At this time I decided if no one showed up that I would cancel my contract. The initial crew to install the battery arrived and the foreman said that the panels would be done another day. He was assuming this to be the case and when he phoned he told me the other crew was on their way. I wish I had just said forget it. The install went fine as far as I could tell. However, they did not communicate that I needed a D rated breaker (I also ask why wasn't this noted upon the initial inspection?). Once again no one called for several days about scheduling my inspection so I phoned them to find out when it would be and the receptionist Rose said, "oh it says here you need a D-rated breaker installed first." I find it interesting that I had to phone them to get this information. I asked to speak to Sammy and was told she was in a meeting. She finally called the next week while I was at work, and I told her that the technician could go through the gate but he did not show. No one from Phoenix called me to reschedule that day either. Finally the technician arrived to install the D breaker on January 15, however he did not bring the correct tools to do the job and told me it would have to be rescheduled. I phoned on January 16 and was told Sammy was in a meeting and that she would phone me back tomorrow. The next day after waiting until 3:30 pm to give her a chance to call me, I called and they said she was out for the day. Then the appointment was scheduled for January 22, once again I didn't work so I waited at home and the technician didn't arrive. I phoned and was told that he was "busy on another job and would have to come tomorrow." I asked if he could come after the job since I was missing work for this and had other appointments the next day. I was told, "we prefer to do it tomorrow since we have other appointments in your area." I was flabbergasted that they don't care about the customer's schedule or if it inconveniences me. Finally the breaker was installed and the inspection would have to be scheduled. The electrician said they would schedule it that day. Nope. Didn't happen. Strangely too, I was at work a few days later when a Phoenix truck arrived at my home without any appointment. My husband was out for a walk and saw the truck. The employee drove 70 miles to our house to "take photos" without an appointment or even knowing if I was home. Once again, no one called to arrange that with me. read more
