This is not a solar review. It is a review of the service Top Hat offers to clean your chimneys…read more My chimney was cleaned by Top Hat back during July or August - who can remember when it is already hot as blue blazes (I think it was August). So, I started a fire and the room and house smelled like smoke. I couldn't see an obvious place that smoke was leaking. I called and spoke to the manager who came right over and evaluated it and thought it all looked fine and that maybe it all escaped when I built the fire. ..Well, that night it was horrible. I couldn't see clearly - I opened the door and smelled "camp fire" - One thing all of you should do it purchase a carbon monoxide indicator - I was afraid of the smoke and had been very sick the previous day so I ran to get monitors and they did show a tiny bit of gas but way below anything scary. That night I called and left a couple messages - obviously afraid and upset. The Owner came out driving all the way from Montgomery Creek! He climbed up and found the flu topper completely plugged (even though smoke was coming out). He climbed up and cleaned it then came in and cleaned the flu part in the house - (with some hot coals. He was great - the company stood behind their work and I appreciate that very much. As a woman doing making most of these decisions I appreciated that the company came out and fixed the situation for me. Thanks

They were price competitive, efficient, courteous and reliable. Then last spring I had them replace my old, tired AC. WOW! My PGE bill dropped by 60% for the summer usage and my home was much more comfortable. Using less electricity meant my solar wouldn't be as expensive to install. I'll be using them for solar next. I'll update when it's complete. Sometimes it's hard knowing who to trust for your home needs. I'm glad to have Integrity on the job!

Integreity is just a name, it took them three months to install an HVAC system with new vents, they…read moremade my roof leak which gave me black mold in my kitchen in between the walls, so I had to remodel my whole entire kitchen. They put holes in the ceilings and didn't patch them up, i had to.. The vents are uneven where they installed the inside filter looks so crappy my four-year-old could've done better. They actually used the breakers/fuse to my power outlets to my plugs in the house so half of my plugs in the house don't work anymore instead of putting in a different/larger breaker, Pg&e came out and flagged my gas because they hooked it up wrong , Pg&e had to come in and redo the whole gas line, never once did I get a call from Managment, bosses, nobody they will call and make me do my appointments because I prepaid for the service, and threaten me with voiding my warranty.. but actually getting customer service is nonexistent . Now that they have my money, it doesn't really matter to them. If I had the funds, I would 100% take them to court !!!! If you want to save yourself money and a headache do not use this company! As a single mom paying $16,000 for a new HVAC system and getting the crappies job done is heartbreaking. Unfortunately the loan is through a third-party so they got paid for their horrible job while I am paying out of pocket to fix their mess.

My wife and I are so glad that we decided to use Energy Docs as our contractor. During the summer…read moreour AC was constantly running and struggled to keep the inside below 80 degrees. Our ducting was also beginning to tear and break apart, so we kept finding pieces of ducting in our air registers. We called several contractors and eventually decided to have Energy Docs come see our home. Mike and his crew came and did some tests to see how our home was actually performing. After the test, he gave us a report that gave incredibly detailed information. We saw how much airflow we were losing from the house itself, how much airflow we were losing through our ducting, we even saw thermal imaging of where heat was entering our house through the walls and recessed lighting. He gave us estimates as to how much the project would cost, and how much we could expect to save. We were able to use the REU Home Performance Program which returned roughly half the project cost in rebates! During the project, the entire Energy Docs crew was nothing less than excellent. They started our project in early August, and spent the next two weeks baking in our attic. They would work until it was too hot to handle the materials anymore. With these conditions, they were still friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. They finished the project on time, and even slightly under budget. When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves and even did some repair work that made the house look even better. Two weeks after the project has been finished, it is a night and day difference in our home. There are no more temperature differences in the various rooms. Our house sits at a comfortable 75 degrees. My wife and I have been so relieved that the project went according to play and there were no horror stories. If you need any work done to your home, go see Mike and his crew. We will always recommend them, and will return should we need anymore improvements. Great job Energy Docs crew!

Our home is now comfortable and extremely efficient. His knowledge is beyond incredible. Mike is extremely punctual and knows his products! The whole HVAC system (including heat pump, ducting etc.) has made such a difference. Thank you Mike. We subsequently had Energy Docs (Mike Macfarland) install a state of the art solar system. Again, we cannot say enough about the savings we see with the new system. It is truly a pleasure to have someone so knowledgeable and trustworthy working on our home. We praise his skills and highly recommend Energy Doc.
