Back filled withe still a rock that was more like 6 ft in diameter in the hole. Paul and his crew worked so hard in the front panel area that did not seam to have so many of these but as they start to put in the hols they soon ran into some. They worked so hard to install the holes and to get it ready for inspection, It all passed and they then installed the poles int the concrete, which was another major task they handled with ease, wheel barrowing all the concrete to each hole on a slope. They got the Fram work up the next day and then came the panels. One could not ask for a harder grew to build such a nice finished solar panels. The electrician that wired it into the house did such a clean install and straightened out my service panel that the previous home owner made a mess of. This was a challenge job for them I am very sure and they pulled it off with the highest of professionalism ever! Extremely pleased with final result and the professionalism displayed by everyone from start to finish. Paul and his crew kept us well-Informed through the entire process. I can say that if you want the best go with the best. Supper highly recommend!

The people were great getting the system but beware, in retrospect after having the system approx 5…read moreyears, it is over all a loss financially. If it wasn't much of a loss, I would be ok with just helping the environment but it is a huge cost. We are using less electricity now than were then (fewer people living here and we are gone from the home approx 2 months a year), and still when adding the lump sum payment due to REU annually and the payments on the remaining $18,000 owed of the $40,000, we were much better off with no solar. And to add insult to injury, the system stops working every year (which you have to monitor). Save yourself the cost and instead make a generous contribution to an environmental charity and you'll come out better financially and your donation will help the cause of saving the environment in a more effective manner.

The solar array at our lake house was severely damaged last winter by a huge snow load. I did a lot…read moreof research and was most impressed with the SunPower product. Both the output and guarantee were the best in the industry. I contacted PowerHouse Solar because they were listed as an "elite" SunPower dealer. I couldn't be more pleased with that decision. The owner, Bruce Blake and his sight manager, Garrett came to our home and evaluated our damages. They were thorough, knowledgeable and very professional in their evaluation. After getting approval by the insurance adjusters I gave them the go ahead. Approximately four weeks later they installed the new array and did an outstanding job. The installation took slightly more than one day and included the removal and recycling of the old system and installation of 21 new panels and the required rails by a team of six technicians. All team members were polite and professional and went the extra mile in terms of being helpful and efficient. They actually left the work sight cleaner than when they started! The new system is working exactly as described and should reduce our energy costs to about zero. We have built homes and remodeled over the years which is often fraught with delays and missed deadlines. NONE of that was an issue with PowerHouse Solar. They did everything that was expected and more! If I could give them six stars I would! Thank you for a job well done!

This is not a solar review. It is a review of the service Top Hat offers to clean your chimneys…read more My chimney was cleaned by Top Hat back during July or August - who can remember when it is already hot as blue blazes (I think it was August). So, I started a fire and the room and house smelled like smoke. I couldn't see an obvious place that smoke was leaking. I called and spoke to the manager who came right over and evaluated it and thought it all looked fine and that maybe it all escaped when I built the fire. ..Well, that night it was horrible. I couldn't see clearly - I opened the door and smelled "camp fire" - One thing all of you should do it purchase a carbon monoxide indicator - I was afraid of the smoke and had been very sick the previous day so I ran to get monitors and they did show a tiny bit of gas but way below anything scary. That night I called and left a couple messages - obviously afraid and upset. The Owner came out driving all the way from Montgomery Creek! He climbed up and found the flu topper completely plugged (even though smoke was coming out). He climbed up and cleaned it then came in and cleaned the flu part in the house - (with some hot coals. He was great - the company stood behind their work and I appreciate that very much. As a woman doing making most of these decisions I appreciated that the company came out and fixed the situation for me. Thanks

He was responsive throughout our whole interaction and he ranks up there as one of the most thorough, helpful, and transparent roofing experts I've spoken to. You can tell he loves his vocation, treats his everyone with respect & dignity, and expects high quality workmanship from his team. Our quote was competitive and within a few thousand compared to two other similar companies. While we opted to go with another provider for our roof (it was truly a difficult choice), we'll certainly return to Volt when we're ready to install solar due to the customer service and attentiveness I experienced during the estimate process. I am always skeptical when I see companies with a skewed number of reviews, and I rarely provide a 5 star rating, but I think it's certainly deserved in this case.
