This is a great surf shop. They have what you need to go surfing, including a very good selection of rental boards, suitable for all ages and experience. And of course they have all of the other good stuff. We vacationed in Jensen in August 2024 and caught the Ernesto swell perfectly. The Ohana crew - Patrick, Jordan and Susie took care of us with two 8 ft fun boards and a Walden long board at super reasonable rates! This is an above stellar surf shop. We love to hang here and chillax especially after a surf sesh. Friendly staff and owners, down to earth but don't let their surf mentally fool you! I took my 19-year-old-daughter-who-has-seen-and-done-e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.-in-all-the-world-ever-and-won't-be-shown-anything-new (basic teenage girl) on a sunset paddleboard tour of the Indian River Lagoon with this amazing crew and we had THE MOST wonderful time. She said, "Mom, this is the best way to end my vacation here." I almost fell off of my board... Thank you, Josh, Tara, and Jordan, for a really terrific evening and for helping make great memories! Got here and was promptly treated with respect, offered a real board and got some good advice where to be and when to be there. Scored too. WOW. Every coastal community needs a surf shop like this. While I now live in Boston, I've spent some time living in Stuart. Unfortunately, this place wasn't around yet. Returning to the area to visit friends, I found myself on the way to Stuart Beach without chap stick and an empty stomach. I remembered a convenience store basically across from the beach that made awesome sandwiches. This surf shop was right next door to it, an incredibly convenient location! I walked in to chap stick and was amazed at the friendliness of the staff, as well as the selection and quality of their surf and skate gear. Legit shapers, great accessories and awesome prices! Even tho I was only buying a $3 item, the guy working was very nice and welcoming. In fact, this whole shop was! On the walls are clipped articles about how the shop is working with the Special Olympics, Surfers for Autism and many other local initiatives. Yeah, there are other surf shops in the area, but throw your hard-earned money Ohana's way. It's obvious they're using it to build a better community! read more

I've been in twice but the selection is so crazy slim. It's a small shop that really just focuses on the few boards they carry which isn't much of a brand variety. The staff is incredibly awesome!! I loved talking to them when to find a specific Carver deck. Which they had a small selection there too. They did have options on Penny boards which I ended up buying for my cousin. But this is an often miss location. I mean there local is boom but I can't ever find what I need. They are good though if you run out of wax or you break your scrapper and you don't want to go far. read more

Won't be returning to do business here. Claimed rented surf board was damaged. When it was received it was covered in sand and old wax, worked for 1/2 hr scraping that off, washed and re-waxed board. Used for 2 hrs then returned only to observe a $100 charge on my CC later that week claiming board damage. NOT a good experience. Beware. read more

Ohana is hands down the best shop around. Your always greeted by a friendly face that is more then willing to help you with whatever it may be. Jordan (owner) is always participating in local events and giving back to the community. The board selection is super solid with whatever your looking for, from a SUP to a short board handcrafted by some of the best local shapers around. My personal favorites are STOKE and Tom Neilson surfboards which are both FL based shapers. Ohana has a heavy selection of sunglasses, board shorts, clothing, skateboards, and surf gear (what else do you need in life) you won't be disappointed with. His prices are more then fair and he's always got a sale going on to make sure everyone gets into a surfboard that's on budget. The one, the only, Ohana Surf Shop. This sweet little place as soon as you arrive onto Hutchinson Island on the left behind the gas station is a diamond in the rough of Martin County surf shops. It felt pretty totally to walk inside this past July '15 as I was warmly greeted by the owner Jordan. Not only did he welcome we with a smile and genuine greeting, but he seemed sincerely interested in who I was and what I was looking for. I simply was browsing for a nice long-sleeve fishing shirt and while I found exactly what I was looking for, they unfortunately did not have it in a Small size. After informing me they'd order it and telling me to come back, I did as requested later that month before I left FL. In early August, I stopped in again and the shirt hadn't arrived yet from CA. I left FL without thinking about it too much about it as I certainly wasn't too concerned about not having a shirt I saw that I liked at our local surf shop. Well then here begins the exceptional customer service, care, and follow through from a fantastic small business. Today (12/4/15, one day before my bday!), I got a random text and call from none other than Jordan himself! He informed me he did not forget about our great conversation, our mutual interests, and of course about the shirt I wanted! So not only did he call, but he informed me that because of the huge delay, the shirt shipped today both free of retail and shipping charges. I expressed my sincere gratitude and reminded him again that whenever he is in CO (where I reside) he not only has a place to stay but that I'd love to show him around this great state. Jordan, you exemplify top notch customer service, a positive attitude, and more importantly, you go above and beyond to make your customers happy to make them want to return.
