    Stairs left looking shoddy
    Dustin R.

We went with Ogden Carpets in Riverton over Maxwell flooring given they were local to Riverton and we wanted to help out the sales person (John) at Ogden who seemed a little more hungry for our business. Everything was fine until we got to the install date (on a Friday). Installers showed up late and couldn't finish that day. Left their work half done and said they would be back to finish the next day at 3:00 PM. Received a call the next day @ 4:00 PM and was told they were tied up on another project and wouldn't be able to get over to our house until Monday. Given we were walking on tack strips and couldn't use our garage where they were storing their supplies and extra carpet, this was unacceptable. On top of this I found areas where they had installed the carpet that had transitions not handled properly, cut corners, and they left a mess both inside the house and out. So I called Ogden Carpets and explained the issues and that I wanted a new installer to come in and finish right away. They explained that they are contracted to have the original installer finish but would take care us (whatever that means). So 15 minutes after that call, I receive a call that the installers were on their way to finish. So 6:00 PM on Saturday night they show up. They rush through their work (which was one of my concerns) and are out before 8:00 PM. Part of the area they were working on was the stairs and you could see rough cut lines in spots and ends they just forced in to get done. Needless to say it didn't look good. The next week when Ogden called me, I explained the issues with the stairs and transitions and sent pictures. Later that day they charged me for the full amount and I never heard back from anyone concerning the shoddy work again. Definitely not happy with the work and we really wish now we would had done more homework before choosing a flooring company.

If you buy something by accident it will charge you 1/4 of the cost to ship it back. I contacted Customer Service and they were very rude and slow to respond. They said that when I canceled the order it was too late (1 day later). I only realized I bought the incorrect product 1 day later. When I went to check on the status. I tried to cancel it, but it hasn't shipped out, just the label has been printed. They are refusing to cancel it without charging me for a return label in spite of the product not leaving their facility. I think you have better options outside of this site. Macys, JCPenny, Kholes, PotteryBarn you name it all these stores allow you to go to the store or allow you to return a product that didn't work out or bought by mistake. I will never be buying anything from this site again. I can see why this company went bankrupt. It didn't adapt to changing times and joins the names of companies like Blockbuster who didn't change the business model with changing times. Bye bye BBB... :) I tried to leave feed back on the product I bought. And they just didn't approve my review. I guess they didn't want the public to know this.

I had not been inside Bed Bath & Beyond in awhile and decided to visit to see if I could find any ideas for Christmas gifts. Other than the small Christmas/holiday section in the front when you first walk in that had shelves that were very organized with prices, the rest of the store is in complete disarray. The bathrooms were the most disgusting bathrooms I have visited in a store in a long time. The floors were completely soiled and the entire bathroom and stall area looked as if it had not been cleaned in the past decade. Gone are the organized sections with current prices listed on shelves. Many of the items are of their own brands-Bee and Willow, Wild Sage, etc...and a ton of random Ugg curtains, blankets, and bedspreads. Things are not placed on shelves properly and areas that have a sale sign or a sale sign on their price tag, do not show what the true price is. Their little price machines they used to have several of, I only saw one, and it was not working. Even one of the workers there put her hands up and shook her head when I asked her what some of the prices were on a few items I was carrying around. Some of the workers were helpful, but I am sure it must be difficult working in a store that looks so ready to close. There are many empty shelves and the shelves that have items on them have a few items that are random brands and even random colors. Very disorganized, dirty, and depressing.

That being said, some items are priced way better than comparative stores like popular stores. I love coming to the cafeteria for a quick bite as well. Those that complain about IKEA lacking service are probably sheltered. Cafeteria establishments don't offer service. They offer food at a cheap value pricing. There were almost no staff in sight in any of the other areas, so if you needed help you'd have to hunt for it.

HomeGoods is the first place I will go to. I go to all different HomeGoods in Utah and do think they vary a lot, especially between layout and selection. This HomeGoods is unlike any other HomeGoods I have been to however. Technically speaking, I was able to find what I needed and get checked out. I liked a lot of the stuff in the store but one thing just absolutely shook me to my core. I am not claustrophobic, but their layout is really confusing and compact. Things are way to close together and it is hard to have a pleasant shopping experience when you are having to squeeze through the aisles. It is also easy to get lost in this store--it is so compact that the bedding and bath and lighting and everything is just kind of fused together. The checkout seems oddly tucked away in a corner instead of being by the exit of the store like all other locations. I get that it is in a mall and I don't necessarily think it is anyone's fault--they needed to make do with the space that they had...but it is not very comfortable being in this specific home goods. Maybe I just came in at a bad time, but it was so kramed that a customer knocked something over and broke glass while I was in there. You have to tiptoe and squeeze around this location. As mentioned, they do still have a good selection of items and I was able to find what I needed so there was no issues there. It is in a convenient location, which is always a perk!

I went specifically to this location because they were the only one around that had the candle scent I wanted. I was SO excited that I found them. She was literally so rude to me that I walked out and didn't even purchase them. It wasn't worth it. So surprised that an organization that sells happy things like candles would employ somebody with such bad people skills.
