I had dumplings at OG location in Rochester, NY about 3 years ago. It was so good that I often thought about their dumplings when I crave dumplings. So I was so excited to see a location opened up in Buffalo. I ordered the House steamed dumplings, crab & pork Xiao Long Bao-the steam soup buns and bbq pork buns. The House dumplings were so delicious at the Rochester location, so I had to try. 8 dumplings for $9.50, the dumplings were large but tasted just so so. I am surprised they didn't have the usual soy sauce, vinegar, hot sauce and sesame oil on the table for the customers to mix on their own. The provided sauce was too sweet to my taste, so I asked for hot sauce. They only had chili oil, which was fine, but it took so long to get, my dumplings were cold by the time I got the chili oil to add to my dumpling sauce. The Xiao Long Bao, 5 baos for $9.50, was totally disappointing. First of all, I ordered the crab & pork but got shrimp instead. I couldn't tell from the outside. 3 out of 5 baos had broken skin, so no soup in the baos, and the other 2 had minimum soup. The skin was thick and had the wrong texture with a strange taste, not at all authentic. The sauce was black vinegar which is the right sauce, but it came with only few shredded ginger. I asked for more ginger and it also took forever to get. So if you had authentic Xiao Long Bao before, I do not recommend. I got the bbq pork buns to go and had them for breakfast the next day. 3 for $7, they were also only so so. I think the ones I got frozen from Asian Market tasted better. The restaurant is in a building that looked like it was a Pizza Hut or something similar. They have a parking lot. Business was good, they were almost full with people waiting and ordering takeout out. The restaurant is very noisy, so probably a good family place but not for dates. Menu has dumplings, different types of baos, noodles and some typical Chinese dishes, but no vegetables. I saw edamame and fried green beans only. I was looking for vegetable dishes that were usually offered at dumplings houses, like pickles cucumbers or pickled cabbage. The service was slow and I saw the wait people tried to give food to tables that didn't order several times, and one of my orders was wrong. Improvement is needed there. read more

Tasty new restaurant on the boulevard . You can tell other patrons have heard good things as well - it was packed on a Sunday evening . Despite the crowds , service was still friendly with a smile . Dare I say my beef lomein entree was the best I've ever had . Also the shrimp dumplings were hot and full of tasty fresh shrimp . The Crab Rangoon was ordinary but not bad . This is a newly opened restaurant on Niagara Falls Blvd. I think it used to be a Chinese restaurant of some sort. It does have plenty of easy parking. Walking in there's a desk that greets you, and a small seating area for people who are doing takeout orders. And there's a large space with plenty of tables for eating. The menu focus is largely dumplings, we had two different kinds of dumplings. We love them both. Did you seem to be enjoying a brisk takeout business. They have another restaurant in Rochester, so they must be expanding their reach. I would certainly enjoy eating here again. read more

We've been here a few times. They had some newer items on their menu we wanted to try. We were able to sit wherever we wanted - the seats by the windows are drafty fyi. The pork dumplings had great flavor. The pork belly bao was delicious but could have used more flavor. The dessert dumplings left something to be desired. I expected them to be soupy but the consistency of the chocolate was just a tad off for our liking. Note that they sell soda by the can so no complimentary refills. We decided to come here for lunch after driving by so many times and saying we needed to try it, and it was a great decision! We were immediately seated and given waters. I ordered the vegetable lomein as my meal and my husband chose the dandan noodle bowl and pork belly buns. We decided to split some pork dumplings. We were shocked by how fast our food came out! We were expecting the dumplings first, but we got our meals first then the dumplings, which was fine! Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the lomein! My husband was surprised by how large his bowl was, but he enjoyed it and the buns! It's a little small in here, but the service is so fast people are able to get in and out quickly without having to wait. Ahhh alas... I'm disappointed. I'd really rather give this place a 3.5 but since halves are not an option, I decided to round up. I forgot to take pictures but I ordered delivery for Szechuan Wontons, Veg Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup. The soup was spicy and delicious and probably the best hot & sour soup I've had in the area, but also the smallest portion of this order. The Veg Lo Mein was a little too salty and overall average/below average to other Buffalo restaurants. The General Tso's Chicken was also about average. The Szechuan Wontons were actually quite good. They came in a chili oil and I would get them again, although at the high price point, I'm not sure it'd be worth it. I'd be willing to try more menu items however, I am weary. I typically trust the options put out on Step Out Buffalo, however I'd have to say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I'd have based on their recommendations. read more

Staff were warm and welcoming! I was seated immediately and had a choice to location/ table. I went during lunch. Jackson was very nice and quick to bring my order! Steady stream of pick-up and sitting inside. There is a sign says 5% off if you use cash! I'm using a gift card but I'll keep that in mind I the future! I ordered Calamari $7 and House (7) handmade dumplings $9.50 and Green tea. It was brought in a kettle. My order was on my table in less than 15 minutes! Dumpling were plump and tasty! Green tea was popping hot. Calamari is a decent size for 1 person. Was cooked a bit harder than I would like but I'd order it again. The tentacles were very hard so I stopped trying to stab them w a fork. 2 flew off my plate and onto the table, I picked the rest up w my fingers! Staff came by to check on me throughout. I got the chicken pad Thai and chicken & cabbage dumplings. My friend got the spicy teriyaki chicken with rice and pork dumplings. My pad Thai came out first before everything else, I wish they would've brought out dumplings first or at least waited until my friends had some of her food to bring out the pad Thai. It was at least 10 to 15 mins before anything else came out so I had no choice but to start eating or my food wouldn't started getting cold, I waited a few minutes and when nothing else came I just started eating. The rest of food came out at pretty much the same time. The pad Thai was good, a little spicy and the dumpling were very tasty. Will be back to try something different. I came here with a friend a few nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service! The place is a little small, but it doesn't get annoyingly loud like some other restaurants I've been to. I ordered the pork fried rice, which was unbelievably delicious. We had pork dumplings steamed. There were seven pieces, more than enough to share. The chicken broccoli was tasteless and I had to use the dumpling sauce to save the dish. Disappointing. The orange sesame chicken had better flavor . Would have liked a choice of heat for the entrees as well as a choice of white or brown rice. White was given. One of the best dine in experiences I've had in a while. The food was AMAZING, the price was BEYOND REASONABLE!! We were told we could sit where we'd like, the waitress gave us all water while we looked over the menu. We ordered shrimp tempura (3), scallion pancake (1-cut in triangles of 4), crab rangoons (6), lo mein with shrimp, rice bowl with shrimp, crab and pork bao (5) and shrimp bao (5) with 3 beverages. I ordered basil fried rice with chicken for $14. I asked to eliminate the tomatoes and to add extra basil. What I received was a container full of rice, some onions, less than 4oz of dry chicken, and some egg. I put the contents of the meal back into the take out container after eating the chicken. We had an excellent dumpling dinner on May 19, 2025. We especially loved the soup dumplings--excellent--and the hot tea served with wooden cups. Overall an excellent experience. Service was very good, ambience happy, fragrant, and enthusiastic. The owners have remodeled a building to make a cheerful, inviting dining space without pretension or artifice, serving a wonderful variety of dumplings. They seem to be inspired by both Chinese and Japanese origins. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. If only we lived near Tonawanda we would be regular customers. We are big fans of dim sum, bao, shumai, and all foods Chinese, harder to find in our home town. read more
