Spinach artichoke danish
Sandy H.

This location is in downtown Torrance, so it's street parking only. I came shortly after it opened so there was plenty of parking. There's limited seating inside with a minimalist aesthetic. There was only one person working when I came but she was able to take orders and make drinks with a steady flow of customers coming and going. I ordered an iced dirty horchata and it was good! It's definitely on the sweeter side of coffee drinks. I also ordered a spinach artichoke danish warmed up and it was delicious. Will definitely add this spot to my list of coffee/matcha spots in the South Bay.

I've had this place on my list to try for a while and I finally got a chance to go. It's cute, it's cozy, no outdoor seating, miniscule seating inside. Maybe I was expecting too much, not sure. I had the intention to ask "what iced drink do you recommend that would convince me to keep coming back" However, I perused the seasonal menu and the Maple cinnamon jumped out at me. I could taste the cinnamon, maple? I had forgotten I ordered maple cinnamon. Opted for Almond milk. I really couldn't taste the espresso. Service was great, it was 10 minutes to closing and I didn't feel rushed. Since I am in Old Torrance often, I may come back in to try a different drink. Maybe next time, I will ask my question...

My ultimate favorite place for drinks in old town Torrance! Thank you so much to Katrina, April and Anyeli for amazing service! Katrina is knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations! My favorite is the matcha latte with vanilla. The ambiance during this time is Harry Potter & their decorations truly take you into the wizarding world! Parking is not too difficult to find since there is a parking garage and street parking which is 2 hours free. The seating inside range from 2 circle tables & chairs alongside the window for a view of the outdoors! Recommend coming here for the vibes, service & decor.

Yummy iced vanilla oat latte. The coffee is so good. I recommend their coffee all day long ... when I order an iced vanilla latte, it's always been consistently good. However, I would not recommend their matcha. The strawberry matcha einspanner, in particular was the worst strawberry matcha einspanner I've ever had. No exaggeration. It was so watery and the taste was not it... I'm positive that's not how they usually taste but being my first time getting it here, I will not be reordering it. It definitely scarred me. I'll just stick with the coffee. Friendly staff. Parking has never been an issue. Love this location and love the vanilla lattes here!!!!

I am excited that Offset Coffee Roasters has opened up their second location in Torrance. I have been an Offset Coffee fan since the opening of their very first Torrance location back in 2018. It's great to see how much this OG South Bay coffee spot has grown since then. I got to check out recently this newest location that is located in Old Torrance. It's a small yet cute location. I enjoyed my favorite Hazelnut latte as well as their Egg and Bacon biscuit. The barista working on Sunday morning was friendly and though there was a continuous flow of people coming in, she was friendly and made drinks efficiently. I often come to Old Torrance after church for coffee and breakfast. I know this Offset location will be one of my new go to Old Torrance spots to go for my Sunday cup of Joe.

Strawberry matcha einspanner

Strawberry matcha einspanner review! The drink is more dessert like. Matcha flavor is not strong and it is very sweet. So if you like sweet not so strong matchas, this is definitely your vibe. It's also super creamy as well. Service was fast and friendly .. parking can be hard in Downtown Torrance. Personally, I think the drink was a bit too sweet for me and I would probably ask for it less sweet next time.

For the love of matcha--the Strawberry Matcha Einspanner (Ceremonial matcha, milk, strawberry syrup, cold foam, and fresh sliced strawberries on top) is top tier! Similar to previous reviews, this drink is a little on the sweeter side but in a good way. FYI- There are other locations around OC each with their own uniqueness, whether that is food or different flavored drinks. Solid coffee shop!!!

I came here for their Grand Opening! They offered 1 drink per person for $1 plus tax. The drinks are so good that if they hadn't set a limit, they would've been even busier! The line was pretty long, but it went fairly fast! I chose to get the Strawberry Matcha Einspanner. I'm a big fan of this drink, it was a delightful blend of Matcha & Strawberry when mixed together! I especially loved the cream! The name "Einspänner" translates from German as "one-horse carriage". Carriage drivers needed a drink that would stay warm and wouldn't spill easily during bumpy rides. The thick layer of whipped cream was an insulator and barrier against splashing. The coffee is sipped through the whipped cream topping which smooths out the strong coffee. In my case, my drink was Matcha and it was very luscious! I have been to their first Torrance location where the parking is a little difficult. This location has better parking and is closer to me! I can't wait to come back after things settle down a bit. Perhaps there will be some seating available. While I do enjoy their coffee drinks, I will probably get an Einspanner again! Welcome to your second location in Torrance!

Ordered a levendar latte. It was sweeter than I expected. Usually those coffee shops without unique flavors focus on their coffee quality and dont make sweet drink. I enjoyed it! $6 exactly.

i've heard great things about offset so i was excited to check it out. there's a couple of locations and i've visited at least 2 locations before giving this review. i've come a couple times to give a fair rating but everytime i've gone to offset, i left with unsatisfied feelings. i've tried the strawberry matcha einspanner and also their seasonal menu which was supposed to taste like gingerbread. both times, i was let down. the coffee was watery and the flavors didn't taste like the descriptions. the baristas are friendly tho and the coffee took around 2 minutes each time i went. there's ample parking in the old torrance area but it can be tough to find parking in the redondo one. overall, i'm not sure if i'm let down because of my menu choices versus if it's actually the baseline of this cafe.

Offset has expanded the last few years to multiple locations throughout the Southbay and now the most recent location in downtown Torrance. The area isn't that big with very minimal seating inside and out but if you're just picking up coffee and in the area, it's perfect especially for the area. I did try the matcha strawberry einspanner and first I thought I wouldn't taste the strawberry since it wasn't obvious in the drink but it was a good mix of strawberry and matcha. Not sure if they used a syrup but really you couldn't obviously tell there is strawberry in it except for the smallest piece on top. It's only the first day and the turnout was great. Thanks for bring the neighborhood coffee shop.

Lavender Latte with cold foam

I L.O.V.E Offset!!! I've always been a hater for coffee but this place converted me into a coffee enjoyer. I've never realized coffee can taste so refreshing and creamy at the same time. I highly recommend their lavender latte and get it with cold foam! So delicious that I dream about it. Another recommendation is their horchata latte. Their drinks are definitely on the pricier side but it is all worth it. Since this place is located in Old Torrance, good luck finding parking

Came to check out the grand opening around 11 am today. I've been to some other locations, and this location is about the same size as the other one near Torrance Crossroads. Looks like they cleared chairs and maybe tables on the inside for this special event. Wish I took a photo of the outside, but they have a cute bench by the window and some open space for people to chat and hang! The line was out the door but went quickly. Upon entering inside they had all hands on deck making drinks, so it was no wonder how service was good. I ordered the strawberry matcha einspanner from their "classics" menu, and was impressed with how strong the strawberry flavor was, without it being overpowering down to the last sip. This was one of the better strawberry matcha drinks I've had in a while. Would highly recommend ordering this if you come!

I stood in line for about five minutes waiting to be helped while multiple customers who came in after me were immediately acknowledged and assisted first. I was wearing a bright yellow shirt and standing clearly in view, so it was difficult to understand how I continued to be overlooked. I even glanced toward the camera because I genuinely could not believe what was happening. What disappointed me most was the customer service. When I later asked for the names of the staff members working during the interaction, Nick, Anianas, and two others.. they questioned why I was asking. I explained that I felt ignored and wanted to accurately reference who was present during the incident. As I was leaving, I overheard one of the workers say, "I feel bad for her walking out," which only added to the frustration because it confirmed they were aware of the situation the entire time. Sorry that I apparently did not fit the "typical clientele" you were more interested in helping first. This occurred between approximately 9:55 AM and 10:05 AM on Thursday, 5/21. Ironically, I had planned on purchasing a large order of pastries for my fiancé and his coworkers, but after the way I was treated, I decided not to spend my money here. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly reconsider visiting this establishment.

I had more than enough points to redeem a free pastry reward, and since I was just at nearby Del…read moreAmo Fashion Center, I figured why not use one of my free pastry rewards at this Paris Baguette? So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.

We picked up the Boloniya Bread (small, $9.95) and it was amazing - super soft, rich, and lightly sweet, the kind of bread you can enjoy completely on its own. We also ordered two drinks: one matcha with matcha jelly, and the other almond milk with matcha jelly. The matcha itself was high quality and good tasting, with a really nice ice-to-matcha ratio, and the jelly had a soft, silky texture that wasn't overly sweet. Everything worked really well together. Being connected to Mitsuwa Market is a big plus. There's a great food court with plenty of indoor seating and a large outdoor patio, making it an easy place to grab food, meet up with friends, and hang out for a bit. Review #908 2025-083…read moreOTM Club 11/20/22 - 11/26/22 (sold out, missed OTM redemption) Food Order: Melon Pan & Raisin Danish I originally came to Hamada Ya Bakery to redeem a comped Cream Puff via OTM Club, but it was late in the day, about an hour before closing so they were sold out & other baked goodies were limited. Since it's not technically an "off the menu" item, I was hoping the bakery would be flexible to substitute the cream puff with something of similar pricing -- nope. According to other reviewers, they often sell out by the afternoon so you need to stop by in the morning to get first pick. I was here with my LO so couldn't leave empty handed & perused the shelves for anything interesting. Just to be on the safe side, we picked a raisin danish (can't go wrong with that) & melon pan. Not sure if it's late in the day or what, but both were pretty stale tasting... I spritz both with a little water & dropped them in the convection oven, which help restore some of the danish's flaky exterior while warming the interior, the melon pan's crust was toasted & sort of melted, but made the interior fluffier & warm. The raisin danish was ok flavor-wise, while the melon pan lacked flavor (too mild; crust lacked sweetness). Hamada Ya Bakery is located in Mitsuwa Marketplace at Del Amo Fashion Center, just off to the right upon entry. While there's plenty of parking available, the spaces near the bakery/market are often full. The bakery is really small, & cannot accommodate 2 people in the cramped aisles. Moderate to slightly high price points for a Japanese bakery. I typically visit other Japanese bakeries in the South Bay, but if I happen to dine at the market's food court or shop in the market, I will browse the bakery for goodies. I'm hoping to try their popular pudding that I keep missing because I'm often here late in the day.
