I love this little shop located over by Top Golf and LAX! Offset has a variety of coffee drinks. I'm an iced latte kind of girl, so that is usually what I gravitate to when I'm here. I typically wait 5-10 minutes for my order, which is not bad at all. Efficient, polite service. I have not tried the food options here, but I've been meaning to. There's also small pastries. There's always parking available in the on-site lot. No need to pay to park. This business is right by a massage place and a pizza joint. First off, just wanna say that Malia and Anna are so lovely!! It was my first time at Offset Coffee Roasters, and they were so friendly and kind. The space is very nice, they have several tables and chairs which is nice! They roast the beans in house which is super cool! They use a medium roast for their espresso, which I like. I got an iced cappuccino, and personally I would give it a 6.8-7/10 which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. But service was so good and the space is very clean! I came in here because I had heard really good things about Offset and my one visit never wanted to make me come back here ever again. First of all, it took me about 20-25 mins in like to order a coffee, which if it was really good coffee, I don't mind the wait. But the coffee was less than mid. I ordered a vanilla latte but you could barely taste the vanilla and truthfully tasted like I got a bad shot. Next I got the avocado toast, which was aesthetically looks somewhat pleasing with the microgreens.... UNTIL I actually ate it. I was at work at this time, LATE. Because it took forever to get my 35 min latte. And I take a bite into my avocado toast, and to my surprise, I thought there was bacon in it... WRONG there was a BIG BLACK PIECE OF PLASTIC. Absolutely stunning interior. I didn't know what to expect when entering, but I definitely did not leave disappointed. I had their iced lavender latte and my partner had the mocha latte. The workers there were super friendly and everything came out super quick. Parking was easy as there was a lot of spaces on the side and towards the back. Customer service was very disappointing. When I walked in, there was no clear indication of where to order, and no one acknowledged me or offered help. While I was standing there trying to figure it out, another customer walked in after me and went straight to the register (which I didn't even realize was there) and was helped first. The girl who was making the coffee look miserable. When I finally received my order, the coffee was okay, but the avocado toast was very poor quality. The bread wasn't toasted at all, it was soft and soggy... and the avocado tasted old. If you are looking for a matcha spot I DO NOT recommend this place. Their matcha seems very low quality, as if they just pour the matcha into the drink without mixing. Offset Coffee at most locations is pretty awesome. The one in El Segundo is a gem. The space is pretty good and there's outdoor tables to work or relax. You'll notice the friendly staff who clearly know their coffee and care about the experience. The menu has decent diversity with a focus on quality and creativity. Their standard go-to roast The Shaw is pretty good. And there's always a weekly or seasonal drink to try out. Recently the smoky maple latte has been delightful. The coffee was great, and the location is conveniently off of PCH near the intersection of El Segundo. They could use better visibility, I always saw the "COFFEE" sign off the street but didn't realize it was Offset Coffee, which I had heard of! My husband and I joked, "It just says COFFEE... What if it's like just a deli with one of those Nespresso machines?" Fortunately I checked on yelp really quickly to realize it was a real coffee place, and now we know we can stop by for good coffee on our way to/from REI or Dick's Sporting Goods. The parking lot is surprisingly big, shared with the pizza place that is very visible from the busy street. Once in the lot, my husband had a hard time finding Offset. Maybe it's the simple font? Offset is my favorite coffee shop in the South Bay! They have several locations so I decided to check out the one in El Segundo on my way home from work. It was 30 minutes until closing so I was a little nervous going in, but it was still poppin. I was among a small crowd of people getting their afternoon coffee. The service was quick despite the crowd and the iced vanilla latte was on point. The seating is limited, with only a few tables but the parking is plentiful and there's a couple picnic tables outside the pizza place (which looks good!). Taste wise it solidly hits the spot. Nothing more. Nothing less. A bit pricey (~$25 total) for meets expectation coffee, no ambiance or lounge aspect. Coffee got cold and 'old' in the togo cups so you really have to try it in store to enjoy the true cleverness of this coffee blend. I bumped this up to a four star because in an in-store mug, the coffee truly is a clever bitter balanced blend. Coffee: * La Marzocco machine * Earl gray latte with espresso and oatmilk ($10.25) - very watery. Not sure if it was because of the tea or the Oatmilk. The Oatmilk was not very creamy but was rather foamy and watery. Next time I'd get regular milk because the cappuccino turned out very well. Surprisingly the taste turned out really well. The bitter tea taste with the bitter espresso was beautifully blended and was highly enjoyable despite not having sugar. If the milk was creamier, this would've been the perfect cup. For the price to quality ratio, I would not get again. * cappuccino ($5) - delicious when hot. Slightly more on the bitter side but it was perfectly well balanced (aka a good kind of bitter). Would get again. * kouign - amann ($5) - poorly executed. Wasn't warmed up. The first bite was really stale and the supposedly 'creme brulee sugar' on the top was more so of an overly thick goopy caramel that hadn't hardened and stuck to the togo bag. When warmed up, the pastry turned more into a soft buttery toasty croissant which was enjoyable but the top remained an overly sticky goopy mess. There was also no light vanilla filling on the inside. Wouldn't get again unless you just want a sweet pastry. Ambiance: * 4 wobbly tables with metal chairs inside. Nice location of this place lots of heavy traffic. But not sure if you can see it unless you look around. The inside is very cute. Small and maybe about 4 tables. The staff is great and friendly. They do have parking but they share it with a few other stores. The coffee.... Either I need to stop getting lavender lattes or nothing wow about this coffee. I won't get it again. Ordered the lavender matcha latte (iced) and it was actually pretty good, the matcha and lavender complimented each other pretty well so I am overly satisfied with the drink. The workers were really nice and gave me their opinions on how to order my drink, plus the drinks came out pretty quickly. I love this coffee shop located right by the new Top Golf and LAX. I ordered 2 drinks which were the dirty horchata, and also a seasonal drink which was macadamia coconut! Both drinks were exquisite and strong coffee wise which is a must for me! Service was so fast and efficient, before we knew it our drinks were out and ready for us! We didn't even wait 5 minutes! Staff is friendly and helpful to find what you're in the mood for. As for the ambiance, it is a small coffee shop maybe some tables outside and quiet environment. I was a regular at the Rosecrans location before it closed. This is my first time here and it will definitely be my last. Was not greeted as I walked in, nothing but silence and weird glares giving off "what are you even doing here" vibes (8:30am Tuesday). I had to walk up to the counter and wave and say hello in order for anyone to even acknowledge me and take my order. The woman with pink hair working the register finally ended up taking my order like "I guess I'll do it since I'm getting paid" , but I was completely ignored by the African American male and the Latino male baristas. The Latino barista with a backwards hat and glasses poured my (incredibly simple black cold brew) coffee, made eye contact with me, and while fully within arms length, set it down on the counter as far away from me as possible . Unfortunately, this Matcha this strawberry Matcha taste really synthetic and it's extremely sweet and there's a lot of milk. You can barely taste the Matcha. It's basically like a Starbucks Frappuccino very sweet and very synthetic. The service was OK. It seemed like there was one person doing everything and they told me I couldn't bring my dog inside to order and take it to go. Basically dogs are not welcomed in this shop. So after I order, they said I had to go sit outside and they would bring my order to me. It's not like I was sitting there chilling with my dog. This is Los Angeles.... Many dogs are welcomed a lot of other places and for that reason I will not be coming back I would rather bring my dog inside order and go then leave my dog in a hot car. read more

My Einspanner Vienna Latte with Oatmilk was really good, such a nice midweek treat before I head to work. Customer service is excellent despite a busy morning rush. Offset Coffee isn't offset from the rest of the best coffee shops in town. In fact, it's become one of my new favorites! I had been searching for a place with quality ceremonial grade matcha (I've been taking a break from coffee) after recently transferring jobs to the area. Came for an after lunch pick me up, and this matcha did not disappoint! Matcha was definitely quality and not pre-sweetened, which I appreciate. They have a simple but good menu here. Love the untypical drinks they offer like their earl grey latte and strawberry matcha einspanner (though this one is trending nowadays). The service is sweet at this small South Bay chain (they have a few other locations throughout Manhattan Beach and Torrance). They also appear to roast their coffee in house (they have a giant roaster in store). I wouldn't recommend this spot for studying/work though, as space is limited to a standing table inside and a few tables outside. But that doesn't take away much from how much I have come to like Offset! read more

A great pit stop for coffee coming from or going to LAX. The inside is very modern and stark white opting for a more minimalist decor style. With a gentleman tending to a blocked off bean roaster off to the side, you can tell they take their craft seriously. So far, I've been twice and the menu seems very nontraditional and unique, especially their seasonal stuff. I have tried the Tiki cold brew, matcha latte with oat milk, and the dirty horchata, which were all pretty decent but not spectacular. The tiki cold brew jabs you with sour sweet pineapple and then uppercuts you with a base of coconut. Tasty! The matcha was underwhelming and definitely tasted more oat-like than matcha. The dirty horchata had good flavor but the sunken layer of cinnamon was a little too gritty for my liking. Overall, I would still regularly come here but I think I'll try and get more traditional fare next time. read more

It was my first time visiting Offset coffee and I don't think I'll be back... This location is in a small plaza with a decent amount of parking. There are some tables inside and outside to sit at which is nice. The service was not that great in mg opinion. But the drink is why this is a 1 star review. I got an iced vanilla latte and just by the look it I knew it wasn't going to be good. It was a really really light brown as you can see in my picture. I could barely taste any vanilla flavor and definitely didn't get any notes of espresso. It just tasted like sweetened milk with a hint of espresso. read more

I absolutely love matcha and found this spot for my best friend and I to try on our catch-up date. She's a coffee girl so I wanted a place with options for us both. The lavender matcha didn't lack any lavender-ness, and was still able to maintain the matcha flavor; one never overpowered the other. Although I don't drink incredibly slowly, the ice melting didn't make the overall drink feel watered down either which I loved. The customer service here was great, too. The barista was very patient as we decided what we wanted, and when making the drink, double-checked our milk selections just in case.
