Offset Coffee Roasters is just okay, imo. The coffee is pretty mid--nothing special, but it gets the job done. The customer service is hit or miss; some visits are great, while others feel a bit indifferent. It gets pretty busy in the morning with people stopping by from the neighborhood and nearby businesses. They are NOT dog friendly--after I ordered my coffee, I was asked to wait for it outside because I had my pup with me. They were nice about it, but it was a turnoff nonetheless. There's limited seating both indoors and outdoors, so if you're looking to sit and stay awhile, it might be tricky to find a spot. On the plus side, parking is pretty easy, which is always a win in LA. Overall, it's an okay spot, but not necessarily one I'd go out of my way for. read more

I love this little shop located over by Top Golf and LAX! Offset has a variety of coffee drinks. I'm an iced latte kind of girl, so that is usually what I gravitate to when I'm here. I typically wait 5-10 minutes for my order, which is not bad at all. Efficient, polite service. I have not tried the food options here, but I've been meaning to. There's also small pastries. There's always parking available in the on-site lot. No need to pay to park. This business is right by a massage place and a pizza joint. When I come early in the morning, the coffee place gets plenty of foot traffic. read more

Absolutely stunning interior. I didn't know what to expect when entering, but I definitely did not leave disappointed. I had their iced lavender latte and my partner had the mocha latte. Both were very good and the coffee was quite strong but in a good way. We also had their avocado toast and their egg toast which we could not stop saying how good it was. The workers there were super friendly and everything came out super quick. Parking was easy as there was a lot of spaces on the side and towards the back. This place has been popping up on my social media for the past 3 months, and I'm so happy I finally got to try it! I ordered the Pistachio Latte and Avocado Toast. I really liked the Pistachio Latte as it wasn't too sweet and had bits of pistachio in it. The Avocado Toast was also very flavorful and you can taste the freshness. Making my quick stop for coffee around the south area and finding Offset as one of the top list. Plus point for sure, finding parking was relatively easy! I assumed they roasted their own beans as I could see the big machine sitting there when entering the venue. Sacks of coffee beans were also lining next to it. If you wanna hanged out for awhile, they did have some seats in front of the venue and there's pizza right next to it. I got my order pretty swift despite the coffee shop was pretty busy and my cup of joe landed on point! My Almond Vanilla Latte had bold coffee flavor and not acidic at all. First off, just wanna say that Malia and Anna are so lovely!! It was my first time at Offset Coffee Roasters, and they were so friendly and kind. The space is very nice, they have several tables and chairs which is nice! They roast the beans in house which is super cool! They use a medium roast for their espresso, which I like. I got an iced cappuccino, and personally I would give it a 6.8-7/10 which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. But service was so good and the space is very clean! I came in here because I had heard really good things about Offset and my one visit never wanted to make me come back here ever again. First of all, it took me about 20-25 mins in like to order a coffee, which if it was really good coffee, I don't mind the wait. But the coffee was less than mid. I ordered a vanilla latte but you could barely taste the vanilla and truthfully tasted like I got a bad shot. Next I got the avocado toast, which was aesthetically looks somewhat pleasing with the microgreens.... UNTIL I actually ate it. I was at work at this time, LATE. Because it took forever to get my 35 min latte. And I take a bite into my avocado toast, and to my surprise, I thought there was bacon in it... WRONG there was a BIG BLACK PIECE OF PLASTIC. I'm so glad I didn't swallow and choke on it. How do you even let that slip in there??? Clearly they need to revisit their food handling course, really dissatisfied with my visit. read more

The drinks are not that bad but the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. For two matchas, the price was almost $20. The horchata matcha was way too thick. The coffee was great, and the location is conveniently off of PCH near the intersection of El Segundo. They could use better visibility, I always saw the "COFFEE" sign off the street but didn't realize it was Offset Coffee, which I had heard of! My husband and I joked, "It just says COFFEE... What if it's like just a deli with one of those Nespresso machines?" Fortunately I checked on yelp really quickly to realize it was a real coffee place, and now we know we can stop by for good coffee on our way to/from REI or Dick's Sporting Goods. The parking lot is surprisingly big, shared with the pizza place that is very visible from the busy street. Once in the lot, my husband had a hard time finding Offset. Maybe it's the simple font? Offset Coffee at most locations is pretty awesome. The one in El Segundo is a gem. The space is pretty good and there's outdoor tables to work or relax. You'll notice the friendly staff who clearly know their coffee and care about the experience. The menu has decent diversity with a focus on quality and creativity. Their standard go-to roast The Shaw is pretty good. And there's always a weekly or seasonal drink to try out. Recently the smoky maple latte has been delightful. If you're in El Segundo definitely check out this Offset Coffee location. read more

Taste wise it solidly hits the spot. Nothing more. Nothing less. A bit pricey (~$25 total) for meets expectation coffee, no ambiance or lounge aspect. Coffee got cold and 'old' in the togo cups so you really have to try it in store to enjoy the true cleverness of this coffee blend. I bumped this up to a four star because in an in-store mug, the coffee truly is a clever bitter balanced blend. Coffee: * La Marzocco machine * Earl gray latte with espresso and oatmilk ($10.25) - very watery. Not sure if it was because of the tea or the Oatmilk. The Oatmilk was not very creamy but was rather foamy and watery. Next time I'd get regular milk because the cappuccino turned out very well. Surprisingly the taste turned out really well. The bitter tea taste with the bitter espresso was beautifully blended and was highly enjoyable despite not having sugar. If the milk was creamier, this would've been the perfect cup. For the price to quality ratio, I would not get again. * cappuccino ($5) - delicious when hot. Slightly more on the bitter side but it was perfectly well balanced (aka a good kind of bitter). Would get again. * kouign - amann ($5) - poorly executed. Wasn't warmed up. The first bite was really stale and the supposedly 'creme brulee sugar' on the top was more so of an overly thick goopy caramel that hadn't hardened and stuck to the togo bag. When warmed up, the pastry turned more into a soft buttery toasty croissant which was enjoyable but the top remained an overly sticky goopy mess. There was also no light vanilla filling on the inside. Wouldn't get again unless you just want a sweet pastry. Ambiance: * 4 wobbly tables with metal chairs inside. Good height for working on your laptop * 2 wooden table and chairs outside * gray concrete forms, felt a little cold and sterile instead of the warm cozy coffee shop * large parking spot * right next to Prime Pizza Service: * drinks came out fast read more

Nice location of this place lots of heavy traffic. But not sure if you can see it unless you look around. The inside is very cute. Small and maybe about 4 tables. The staff is great and friendly. They do have parking but they share it with a few other stores. The coffee.... Either I need to stop getting lavender lattes or nothing wow about this coffee. I won't get it again. I'd rather try something new. I really wanted the Macadamia Nut latte but they don't serve it anymore. Customer service was very disappointing. When I walked in, there was no clear indication of where to order, and no one acknowledged me or offered help. While I was standing there trying to figure it out, another customer walked in after me and went straight to the register (which I didn't even realize was there) and was helped first. The girl who was making the coffee look miserable. When I finally received my order, the coffee was okay, but the avocado toast was very poor quality. The bread wasn't toasted at all, it was soft and soggy... and the avocado tasted old. I came to this place because I always see it when passing by for work. The staff and establishment is very nice. HOWEVER, horrible matcha. If you are looking for a matcha spot I DO NOT recommend this place. Their matcha seems very low quality, as if they just pour the matcha into the drink without mixing. Offset is my favorite coffee shop in the South Bay! They have several locations so I decided to check out the one in El Segundo on my way home from work. It was 30 minutes until closing so I was a little nervous going in, but it was still poppin. I was among a small crowd of people getting their afternoon coffee. The service was quick despite the crowd and the iced vanilla latte was on point. The seating is limited, with only a few tables but the parking is plentiful and there's a couple picnic tables outside the pizza place (which looks good!). I love this coffee shop located right by the new Top Golf and LAX. I ordered 2 drinks which were the dirty horchata, and also a seasonal drink which was macadamia coconut! Both drinks were exquisite and strong coffee wise which is a must for me! Service was so fast and efficient, before we knew it our drinks were out and ready for us! We didn't even wait 5 minutes! Staff is friendly and helpful to find what you're in the mood for. As for the ambiance, it is a small coffee shop maybe some tables outside and quiet environment. My Einspanner Vienna Latte with Oatmilk was really good, such a nice midweek treat before I head to work. Customer service is excellent despite a busy morning rush.
