They are not a full service Fed Ex pack and ship as advertised. Beware if you need items to be pack, you need to buy all the supplies in the store then pack yourself. As a result, FedEx Acct. numbers are useless. Of course, they did not share this with me until I carried 2 loads of equipment into the store after confirming on the first load all was good with an Acct number. Lesson learned. read more

The company website advertises that same-day custom pre-inked stamps are available at this location. One of my colleagues could use such a stamp, so I finalized a design and placed the order online. Within seconds I received an email confirmation. So far, so good. But shortly thereafter I received a call from the store. I was told the stamp making system was inoperable at the moment, but that they could ask a store in Greensboro to fulfill the order instead. Driving over there isn't ideal, but it's a workable solution so I approve the audible. A few hours later I received a message from the store; the latest report indicated that none of the stores in the region could fill my order, so I'd need to call the corporate toll-free customer service line and cancel my order. Well, I called that number but was told the order would HAVE to be cancelled by the local store. Conflicting info...great. And so I visited the local store. The service clerk heard my request and immediately insisted that an on-duty manager would need to address my request since there had apparently been some debate between store staff and district staff about the correct process for handling the problem order. The manager then approached and, in a faithless admission, stated the equipment had been out of service for weeks; corporate had repeatedly claimed it would be fixed soon, but he clearly stated he had no reason to believe they were being honest with him. After a brief delay and a less than cordial phone conversation between another staffer and himself, I finally received the confirmation of order cancelation I'd been waiting for. So... 1) if you don't offer a service, why advertise that you do? Why allow a service request to be placed for something that can't be fulfilled? 2) why does the staff here seem to be in such great conflict with the corporate offices? There are clearly issues of trust, accuracy, and miscommunication. 3) why aren't this store and the others equipped with working systems? 4) why should it be so difficult to cancel an order -- especially when the cancelation is at the direction of the staff themselves? These are issues indicative of a dysfunctional franchise. Maybe buying standard in-stock goods goes more smoothly, but I will now be hesitant about using these folks to fulfill any custom services. read more

If you call the store to ask if they have something in stock, it takes an act of congress to get a human and they always say "Let me transfer you to someone." Those are the words of death. Don't ever press 4 for supplies. They must transfer to a dead line because the call literally goes dead. There is no music, no phone queue for pickup. They do not answer the phones! This store has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Go anywhere but here. read more

do not trust what they tell you on the telephone. I called to see what they would charge for an 8 1/2 x 14 color copy. I was put on hold and then the person came back and told me it would be $.24 per copy. I drove across town to make my copies past other places where I could've done it, because their price based on the information given to me on the telephone was better. When I arrived, the only copies available at the self-serve were $.64 per copy is 40% more per coffee than I was told less than an hour before . they wasted my time and my gas. Since I needed some of the copies right away I did 1/3 of what I was going to do and now I still need to go somewhere else to do copies. Office Depot will not get my business again. This Office Depot is my new go-to! I have never been to this one before, but due to a print mishap at another location I came here. I ordered two posters online and turns out the store the online order let me select did not print large scale items. When she called to tell me this, I asked her if she could send it to another Office Depot that would. Silas Creek Parkway here I come! There were some issues on the back end and then I didn't get a call when the posters were completed. Oh well I would just call first thing in the am. When I got to the store the manager came over and told me he was refunding me my money for the posters for all the hassles I had to deal with. Wow! That is some great customer service right there, especially since most of it was really not even their store's fault. In general I always like Office Depot since there always seems to be an employee with a smile happy to help you. This store takes that and runs with it. I will be back for certain! read more

I have never been in a store where the staff was soooo incredibly friendly and helpful. They genuinely seemed to care about helping me. I needed some clear pockets that adhered to the wall. They didn't have them in the store but I was able to order them in the store and have them shipped to me at no charge. The sales associate was so helpful. I appreciate service with a smile as much as the next person but to feel it to be as genuine as it is really takes it to another level. I will continue shopping here for all of our office needs. read more

I like their stores and they generally have good prices. Today I got a brown paper bag in the Sunday paper that said 20% off anything you can fit in this bag. Then it followed with furniture included. Ive been needing a desk but if I can fit it in that little bag it probably won't serve me very well. I got a good chuckle out of that. read more

Great Office Depot! We were in a bind timewise and needed a college move-in TV stand (I know, I know!). Ran in here and were greeted cheerfully by Josh, who I think is the store manager. Great guy, and the store is clean and large. We described what we wanted, but it was looking like this was not a piece of furniture Office Depot stocked. But optimistic Josh kept working with us . . . when suddenly we realized looking at what OD did stock, that a bookcase could be laid on its side and perfectly carry the TV. Josh was as excited as we were and did all the heavy lifting to get it in our car. A total pleasure to deal with. Such experiences are so rare in retail, that I have to YELP about it.
