I was approached by a white male employee with white/gray hair and glasses in the tv section who asked if he could help. I politely told him, "No thank you, I'm just looking. I'm not buying today." What really bothered me was the way he spoke to me about my decision not to purchase that day. After I repeatedly explained that I was just browsing, he made a comment along the lines of suggesting options for me "when I have the money." I never told him I couldn't afford a TV, nor did I say money was the reason I wasn't purchasing one that day. He then went on to tell me that anything under $600 was "bottom of the barrel." At that point, the interaction felt incredibly condescending and presumptuous. There's a difference between helping a customer understand different price points and making assumptions about their financial situation. The irony is that I walked into Best Buy intending to purchase a TV, washer, and dryer within the next month. I was genuinely considering spending a significant amount of money with this company. Instead, I walked out feeling judged and disrespected over a purchase I simply wasn't making that particular day. I will never be back.

I have typically had great service, and they offer a good variety of options for monthly data and phone service. You can buy phones direct or bring your own. Customer service is unfortunately limited, as even the store staff have to call a number to help you with what you need. When I tried to call, the wait time was ridiculous, and they never did get to me via phone. Still, it's not often I need their customer service, and they manage to provide what I need in a phone service. The app is a tad buggy, but I am able to switch up service on the fly so that I can add data when I need it but also pay less when I don't need it. Thanks for good service and value, Cricket. He took his time walking me through the aisles, helping me locate everything on my list (and even reminded me of an item I had completely forgotten I needed!). What really stood out was how patient and attentive he was--never once did he seem rushed or irritated, even with all my questions and back-and-forth.
